Guest Incintigrin
o.o Ok, so apparently, I'm imputing my opinion into this. So, here's my judging of the two entries. I'll be judging on 4 categories. How original the whole card is, how good the picture is according to the card, the stats of the card, how its level reflects it's ATK/DEF, it's attribute, etc., and finally, on Effects, how original and powerful or weak they can be. Fenrir-Chan Originality: 3/10 Picture(s): 8/10 Stats: 9/10 Effects: 4/10 Yeah...not too bad, but could do some work. I LOVE the pictures, and Stats really fit well with the card. The stats fit better then even most actual Yu-Gi-Oh! cards in existence (take into account Goyo Guardian. Broken as heck.). But...the effects are where your cards fall. They aren't very original, and they're kinda out there on the whole archetype choice. I mean, Psychics helping Blackwings? I guess it COULD work, but it's not the best archetype to choose. And MOST DEFINATELY NOT Earthbound Immortal. Those cards are already beyond broken, they DO NOT need any more help. And your Synchro's effect is, sorry to say, just adding fuel to the fire. Instant 2,500-3,000 damage (direct attack), AND no destruction by card effects? That's just beyond broken, in my opinion, at least. I'd honestly not find these cards too bad, if you didn't have the archetypes like this. I'd agree if it was Psychics helping Psychics, or an archetype that isn't based on Type, like Monarchs or Geminis. But...Blackwings focus far too much on Winged-Beasts, and Earthbound Immortals are way too strong to get this kind of support. However, I seriously think you did an EXCELLENT job on stats and picture. They look INCREDIBLE, and like I said, their ATK/DEF, Levels, and Attributes, are pretty well balanced. Overall, great job! Keep up the good work! senatheEND Originality: 3/10 Picture(s): 7/10 Stats: 7/10 Effects: 5/10 Nice job as well! You kept up with the archetype set, it making sense that Psychics help Psychics, and your effects, stats, and pictures aren't too shabby! I love how you're using Psychics like espionage agents, and I like how you're using the underused level 3s, and even having a powerful level 5 Synchro that seems REALLY hard to use. However...your effects kinda fall flat in terms of originality. They're strong, don't get me wrong, but I've seen all of these effects printed on at least one card in the game. Except for Sie Kensou's first effect. It's my absolute favorite, but it's kinda overpowered. I think it'd be better if you combined his LP gaining ability with it, having it that any monster with (XX-XX range) ATK/DEF that's Summoned is destroyed and you gain LP equal to its level X500 or something like that. Overall, kinda bland work, and out of 4 effects, only 1 really stands out, which isn't superb. However, your great usage of stats and pictures are pretty solid, so great job! Vote: senatheEND I know this seems kinda biased, but actually, it's not a very far off pick. You're both really pretty evenly matched, because you both have an excellent sense of art, and great usage of monster stats. However, both of you have, I'm sorry to say, effects that I don't think are up to par, especially in originality. They're kinda bland, and sometimes over the top. They do try to follow the LP base of Psychics in general, but they don't do a great job of shining. If their effects were different, I'm sure they'd seem a lot cooler and more awesome, but from my standpoint, because of the greater archetype representation and the less overpowered effects, I pick Sena as my vote choice, if it counts at all. NeosWiseman
Earhhh.... well.... I don't know what else to say.... :DIncintigrin said it all. Both cards lack of original effects. And such effects are exactly the aim of this contest, correction - of EVERY contest Now, for Fenrir-chan's cards.Gunslinger: The effect of revealing the top cards makes the card a total beast. It could mean up to 5 attacks per turn. BUT the fact that you need to tribute a monster and the easy summoning conditions is what keeps this card really well balanced. About the last effect, honestly, who's going to try destroying this card in battle... so, it's not a problem in this case. This card is really good!Chaos Soldier: OK, I'm pretty sure the first effect is not necessary. I know that Blackwings can swarm really quickly, but still this can raise the ATK to 2800 at most (still not likely). And about the last effect it's the same as the Gunslinger. And in conclusion I would say it's kinda underpowered for its stats. senetheEND's cards are next:Asamiya: How the heck do you intend to summon this card (sorry for the harsh language, but..). No, monsters that need 2 Tuners and are below Level 8.... don't really work out. I see that the effect is a little underpowered to balance out the fact that it's quite unsummonable and still... As I already said (and Incintigrin did too) the effects aren't very original, but negating a card effect. There should be something much better. I like the second effect though. Nice job on that.Sie Kensou: This guy here (I think it's a guy) has some serious flaw and it's in his first effect. To make the effect of a monster with 1200 original ATK to destroy monsters with 1600 or less ATK at no cost - NO! In addition you have a way to keep it on the field with the second effect and due to the first effect the last one is kinda impossible to use (there won't be such weak monsters to destroy and you should think of boosting him). I can see your cards are from some kind of an archetype. The idea is nice but the cards are kinda hard to use or unbalanced. Sorry, man! FINAL SCORE:------------------------------Originality----------Balance----------Picture----------Stats----------Overall Impression----------ScoreFenrir-chan---------------------5------------------8.5----------------9.5--------------9----------------------8----------------------40/50senatheEND--------------------5-------------------7------------------9.5-------------9.5--------------------8.5--------------------39.5/50 Hence, the winner - Fenrir-chan. senatheEND
@ Neos wiseman there are plenty of ways to lower a monsters level another part of her back draw she is very powerfull but takes some planing to get her outExample have a mind master + Kerbons in grave use telekanetic power well special summon both use star blast pay 500 reduce ker to a lv 1 summon a mind protector there you go Mindmaster +(starblasted) Kerbons+ Mind protector=Asamiya (1+1+3=5) also i kinda agree with you on sie. Thing is hes still subseptable to spell and traps. also you can set a monster face down and flip summon it to get around his effect. which goes on his destruction play destroy a face-down low def monster back draw his effect counts for you too he is a minor problem till you get idk lets say a fissure
NeosWiseman
I have no idea why people always choose so complicated strategies like this.... It doesn't really help the game. It either makes it a slow one (in order to let your plan develop) or gives the opponent to counteract while you're trying to fulfill it. This is my opinion and I think it's pretty objective.About your second card, I still think nobody will try dodging it by setting and then flipping. This most certainly wouldn't work out well. Which is my reason for voting this way.But what can say for sure is that the general impression I got from your cards is better.

I have a Level Eater Deck (no Synchros really, just focusing on high level monsters and reducing their level to constantly Tribute Level Eater) that works decently fast, and is pretty entertaining, even though it can get complicated with all of my level reduction. And as for the setting and flipping, again, when I use my FLIP Deck that has Black Garden in it, I've even had duelists only do FLIP Summons like me to avoid the ATK/DEF loss. O.o It's all in how you play, really.
