"Sounds interesting," Daelam responded, "Where shall we have this 'skirmish'?"

Daelam looked at his readied troops.

"Come with me," Daelam said to Richard.

The two approached Riohs.

"Riohs, this is Sir Richard," Daelam said, "Our forces and his are going to have a bit of a skirmish, would you like to fight alongside them?"

Daelam waved back.

"This should be quite interesting. My men who have just started against his men who have just started."

Daelam walked over to the soldiers that had just finished sparring.

"Listen up, Sir Richard, the Devil's Claymore, is coming here with his new recruits. You will all have to fight his recruits.

Good luck to all of you, this will give you a taste of what the war against Draem will be like."

Suddenly a load roar could be heard, Richards new recruits were shouting with Glee

Richard and his men began to come back Richard leading them

At the front were the new recruits dressed in new armor fresh from the smithy

Then there were Richard's primary forces all of them were dressed in armor that carried scars of battle

"I hope you don't mind my forces wanted to see how the new recruits fight in a real battle."

Richard said as he rejoined Daelam

"Not at all," Daelam said, smiling.

All of Daelam's men were dressed in their fresh armor, all with their wooden swords.

"FIGHT!" Daelam yelled.

During the skirmish, a messenger from Lysenna's capital, Kreitch, showed up.

"Sir, we have news the Seak is under seige," the messenger said to Daelam.

"Seak? I didn't think Draemins ever knew of its location..." Daelam replied, "The good news is, Kier is the best city to get to Seak from, we just have to take a short boat ride. Richard, wanna help me out on this one?

I say we keep all of our assassins in the back, and they'll use their skills to slowly eliminate Draem's archers from behind.

Then, once their taken care of, we send out front lines out to the enemy, and have our archers take care of any other men that'll be trouble.

Then, me and you can go after whatever general they have at Seak.

I would assume it's Marchias, as I suspect this is a large seige. Richard, do you have anything to add to this plan?"

"No I agree with you."

Richard signaled his men to form ranks and prepare to march

Richard called one of his men forward

"Go take the horses and have the boats ready before we get there."

the knight nodded and ran to get the horsemen and rode off to the dosks

"Now."

Richard turned to the knew recruits both his own and Daelam's

"Men today we see battle! So draw you blades and be with us in this glorous fight. I am Richard the Devil's Claymore and I ask you today fight along side me and let the enemy know our steel!!!"

Richard shouted these words of inspiration as he turned to head for the docks

Richards men shouted and began to follow him his new recruits dropping the wooden training blades and picking up real swords as they followed their commander to the docks

As the two men and a small amount of forces boarded their boat, Daelam said, "When do you think we should start to go after their general? If I'm right and it's Marchias leading them, this may be difficult. From what I've seen of his fighting style, he walks with 6 or 7 elite guards and carries a battleaxe that's about as large I am, and he swings it with great proficiency.

If we approach him too early, even if he doesn't kill us, his guards will."

"He is strong, wait for my signal."

Richard pulled a scroll of fire from his belt

"Look for the flame, when you see move in on Marchias."

Richard looked different now that they were on verge of battle his eyes seemed to lust for the thrill of battle

"Me and my elite gaurd will cut a path straight through their lines."

as they spoke Richard's elite gaurd separated from the rest of the group they were dessed in heavier plate and carried heavy weapons such as pole axes and other heavy assult weaponary, they were also mounted on heavily armored horses, one knight got off his horse and brought Richard's horse wich was huge compared to the other horses

Richard looked to his men and nodded and got on his horse

"Remember the flame will signal the attack follow us we will break the lines and plow straight through the lines."

another knight struggled as he handed Richard his giant claymore

After all the guards were finished, it was just Marchias.

"Richard, so help anyone that's in need. I'll take Marchias," Daelam said.

Marchias laughed, "So you're the new fool they promoted to general, hm? Belligerent child, it's time to teach you a lesson you'll never forget!"

Daelam and Marchias stood, battle ready.

Daelam nodded to Richard to show that he could handle Marchias.

Their eyes met.

Daelam knew it wouldn't be easy, but he would do it.

Marchias was the first to swing. He swung towards Daelams feet. Daelam swiftly jumped over the hurling blade of the ax and struck Marchias' chest.

Marchias suddenly became angered and swung his ax vertically down towards Daelam.

The ax got stuck in the ground.

"Lysenna will never be defeated," Daelam said approaching the now disarmed Marchias.

"Yes it will. Draem will continue, far beyond me, far beyond the king. Far beyond anything you can comprehend," Marchias said, smiling. He went to the ground on his knees to accept what was coming to him.

Daelam readied his blade, then thrust it as Marchias, piercing his chest. He then pulled the powerful sword out of his foe.

Marchias fell to the ground, cold and lifeless.

Daelam stood on his corpse, raised his hand in the air, and screamed, "VICTORY!!!"

Richard shouted in victory as he turned back to Daelam

Richard put his claymore on his back and walked over to the giant ax that now lay on the ground

"And to the victor goes the spoils."

Richard pulled hard on the ax getting it out of the ground he lifted the ax like it was nothing

"It's yours."

Richard said looking at Daelam

A sergeant came up to Sîon, with a worried look in his eye.

"Sir, we've just had word that Seak is under attack."

The new general pondered this for a moment, before coming to a decision.

"Seak is too far away. If there's battle there now, then it will most likely be over before we arrive, and if it isn't what men we have will not sway the battle in our favour. We must leave the city to it's fate, in order to be ready for when war comes to us. Still, have the recruiting squads tell the locals this. If they feel the threat is current, they're more likely to sign up."

Sîon watched the sergeant walk away again. Whilst it my prove a problem if Seak fell, it would be more devastating to have an unprepared army out of position or crushed because it tried to go and defend a distant part of the realm.
