Nina's momentary nausea passed, but had been noticed by the boy who had bitten the corpse. Her composure - or what she had lost - back, she listened to his words, which told the girl that this boy was quite likely to be dangerous. Well, she technically would be dangerous, but this boy had the mindset of someone who would use whatever powers he might have indiscriminately, and besides, he was an admitted cannibal.

"I am fine," she replied, staring into his eyes. "You are...rare," she added, as an explanation for her apparent illness before.

"Heh, is that your way of calling me weird? Eh, I don't care. A lot of people think I'm weird. Well, still, if you think I'd do anything to purposely harm you, you're mistaken. I'm not evil or anything. However, if you die, and I'm particularly hungry, I might eat you. But I'm not going to kill you, and I don't eat anyone I've ever killed...Then again, that's only because I don't remember it..."

That's right, you don't know what to think of me. You can't just try to kill me, but you can't trust me because of my cannibalism...All's going according to plan...Wait, what plan? I thought I was just hungry...

Alyx was completely lost. "What do we do now?" she asked Seth, holding the gun awkwardly, looking for any more assailants. The fight seemed tobe calming down, btu she saw Jason standing up.

"Alright." she fired three successive shots then reloaded, not caring whether they missed or hit.

Selene was still fighting Leonard, weaving in and out of punches.

Jason heard the shots coming and turned and was hit by all three the armor took much of the impact, but in his condition Jason fell to his knees

"Dam I've pushed my limits I have nothing left."

The armor that covered Jason fell off leaving him exposed and weak

Jason knew this might be it, this might be the day he died

"I never thought I woul....."

Jason fell to the ground unconscious

Leonard was now getting annoyed. The girl had adopted a strategy of dodging when he tried to hit her. He took a couple of paces back, opening up room for a moment, took a deep breath, and grabbed for her wrist, intending to keep a tight grip on it, and perhaps get some sort of understanding of exactly who it was he was fighting. A nameless foe might be all well and good, but since this was presumably a major character for the enemy, he felt it might be more fitting to have a name for the face.

Nina continued to stare at the boy, and listened to his self-defence, her mind rapidly turning over many different possibilities, both for who the boy was, and for what she was supposed to do about it. She eventually reached a conclusion, or at least decided what to do next.

"My name is Nina," she told the boy, "Who are you?"

"...Ahahahaha--Eh? My name? Oh, Grey. Um, well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Nina. Say, did I scare you or anything? I probably freaked out with...That. Well, if you hadn't eaten for 27 days, you'd probably have to eat something, wouldn't you? And if dead people and stale bread are the only things left around to eat, what do you make? That's right, make baby sandwiches. ((DISCLAIMER: I do not condone eating babies in any way, shape or form.))"

Grey then took a close look at the girl who called herself Nina. "Hmm...Nina...It's a very nice name. If I had a daughter, I'd probably name her that. Or Sadie. I like the name Sadie. Sounds pretty weird I'm talking about children after I said I eat baby sandwiches, doesn't it?"

John had left the building only mintutes ago. The group seemed to have separated. He didn't know where everyone was, but it didn't matter at the moment. He needed parts for his car. He was going to travel somewhere. It didn't matter where. John took a rest in the back seat and told the car to drive anywhere it wanted. He had a long day. When he got to wherever he was heading he would think of a way to stop the plague. Until then he drifted off under the midday sky.

Nick interjected in Grey's romance attempt by saying, "hey, guys, food, remember? The thing that sustains us, the thing that keeps us alive?" Nick then walked over to the nearest shop, opened a portal to get in, and grabbed a phonebook off of the counter. He then opened another portal and jumped back to his group and said, "McDonalds, 194 2nd Ave South!" He made another portal jumped through and landed in McDonalds. "So, annyone want some eats?" He the made a portal and unlocked the door and walked out, all while eating a single chicken nugget.

"Eh? Oh, right, are there enough makings for a McChicken in there? And some Sprite still left in the fountain?" Grey's eyes never left Nina. Something definitely felt familiar about her. Like he had known her before he lost his memories (If he even had them in the first place), but couldn't figure out where she belonged. He then walked close to nick and whispered in his ear "Hey, is she, uh, y'know, single?"

Grey blushed just asking this question. He wasn't normally like this, then again, he was normally psychotic...

Nick laughed abit and whispered, "I think she is, I've only known her for about 1 day and a half," he grabbed another nugget and ate it, and repeated the process until it was out of nuggets, so he drank more water and said, "Have you ever thought of phase 2? You know apocalypse phase 2? Well the next phase will be war becuase it follows the apocalypse cycle; pestilence conquest war famine and death."

"Then, there's famine...However, that means me and maybe some others will be left alive, though, because of cannibalism...Anyway, thanks, I thought you'd know more...Guess you're just as expandable as anyone else. Well, I'm hungry, so I'll just grab some fries and pies...And a Sprite/Powerade combo...You want some of that? Best thing you'll ever effing taste. Guarantee it."

Grey walked in and grabbed armfuls of crap and placed a box of pancakes in front of Nina. He began eating some fries and offered a drink to Nick.

An extremely beautiful woman idly walked down the streets a wide satisfied smirk on her face as she looked at the pretty much empty town. Her hips swaying in a melodic rthym that replayed itself over in her head. She looked to be in her early 20's but she was actually 29 years old and one of the Titans. So long has she been the one looked over and ignored. Now it was time for it to be the other way around. Oh, how she enjoied the suffering of others. Expecially of strong willed people. To see first hand how you can break their spirit, and see that fear of death slowly creeping into their eyes. It is such an extatic feeling and a marvelous thing to witness. And when she is the cause of it....Even better. "I'm getting happy just thinking about it....Now where are these brats that we're supposed to be getting rid of?"

Not too far away from the Mcdonalds the other three kids were, a young girl who's name was Sayori, was crouched down in front of an empty flower bed. The soil was dried out and a lifeless stem was the only reminants of the once beautiful flower that once once full of life. A sad look passed over her purple iris' and her silver hair fell down over her left shoulder. "It's ok....I'll help you..." Sayori whispered softly as if she was speaking to a child. Tenderly, she placed her hand over the flower and closed her eyes. Slowly the flower was revitalized and bright red petels was not on the erected stem. "If only I could do that to this entire town...." She sighed sadly, standing back up. "What do I do now?..." With onle last glance at the flower, her hands laced together behind her back and she began walking slowly coming closer to the other Chosen.

Without a work, Nina had headed though the portal and come back through with a large box of fries and a drink, which for her was a satisfactory, if a little plain, meal. As she began to eat, she was caught unaware by Grey suddenly putting some pancakes in front of her. Putting down her own food, she picked up the box and began to examine it, almost as if it was some artefact from an ancient civilisation. Seemingly satisfied, she picked up her drink and took a sip, before she opened the pancakes, picked out a pancake, and tore it in two. She turned towards the boy who had brought it.

"Thankyou," she said, before she bit into one of the pieces.

Grey looked at her quizzically. "Grah? Oh, right, the pancakes. Whatever, you just seemed a bit scrawny to me. Didn't want you to die. Not if it could be prevented easily."

Grey didn't know how he felt about Nina. Part of Grey thought she was perfect, part of him thought she was suspicious. But she definitely was interesting. He needed to know more about her.

"So...Where are you from? And why is it that you keep staring at me?"

"I observe," she replied, turning back to Grey. "You can be observed, so I observe you." She went back to her food, and took another bite from the pancake, chewing it thoroughly as she considered how to respond to his other question, if she did so at all. She still wasn't certain of him, although it did seem that, for the moment at least, he wasn't a major threat. Still, she wasn't sure about how much she should tell him about herself. In the end, she opted to go for a truth that wouldn't be much use in tracking her down.

"England," she eventually said. It was true, she was born there, but hadn't been there in years. It was also a large enough area that tracking down people who knew where she went would be near impossible, but many people thought it was specific enough that they didn't press further.

Sayori walked slowly down the sidewalk thinking back to happier times in her life. She wondered how her parents were doing, or if they were even still alive. "Hn, most likely. I have faith that they are still alive....I just wish that I was with them. I wonder if they're thinking about me as well..." She sighed sadly. Continuing her stroll she came across a Mcdonalds and suddenly her stomach growled. Sayori blushed a bit scratcing the back of her head in embarressment. "I guess I should get me something to eat." Sayori walked over to the McDonalds and upon closer inspection she saw that there were other people in there. Her head tilted to the side. "There are other people still alive...." Her stomach growled again forcing her to push her earlier thought behind her. "I just hope they'll let me in." She muttered and gently knocked on the door.

Nick looked outside the McDonald's and saw a silver haired person approaching the restaurant, 'another immune?!' Nick thought before running to Grey and Nina and saying, "Guy's there's another immune here, over there, do you see?" Nick then stood opened the door and walked towards the person, and on closer inspection, was a girl. "Hello," he said to the approaching person, "you can come in or whatever we're probably gonna leave soon, anyway."

"Jolly Old England, you say? What part? Or...Would that be too personal? Yeah, it probably is...Sorry..."

Grey's warped psyche had never been so confusing to himself as it was now. He looked outside and saw the other girl that Nick had addressed. "Oh, hey. You want something to eat? 'Cause there's everything 'cept Thousand Island here, so no Big Macs. Sorry 'bout that, but that's the way it is."

Grey returned his attention to Nina. He wanted to know more, but he also felt there was part of her that didn't trust him...Probably the fact he gave her pancakes for no reason...

Sayori nodded towards the boy who opened the door and walked in. "Thank you. For letting me in, and yes I actually am very hungry." She said turning to the other boy in the room who was sitting with another person but it was a female. "I don't really care what it is as long as it's eatible. If you can tell me where it is I'll get it myself." She said her voice getting smaller and smaller. "By the way...You guys wouldn't happen to know what is going on around here." Sayori was actually tempted to ask if they had strange powers like her, but was afraid that they would kick her out or something. These were the first people she had seen who were still alive and well.
