John watched the conversation between enemies listening to everything being said while prepared to activate the device. He clicked the weapons button and opened the cordolaine field. It would cause metallic copper to expand; when the copper is in the jacket of a bullet, it becomes jammed in the gun's barrel, rendering it useless. That way Nick would be safe, until the summoner brought something to the fight. Luckily Seth wouldn't notice until he tried to shoot him. John hooked up his joystick to the computer. He slowly moved the ball towards Nicks foot. He tapped lightly enough for him to notice, but not anyone else.

Leonard rolled his car up to Seth's home, and burst through the door. Following the sound of familiar voices, he entered the room to find his target, along with the mind-reading girl - had those two been on a date - and, unexpectedly, a guy holding a gun at them.

"Thanks for the briefing, it was real hel...what on earth is going on here?" he demanded, eyeing the scene.

 

Nina watched the surveillance footage and listened to the comments of the others apparently without interest, although it would be more accurate to say she didn't show interest. Inside, her mind was buzzing about, connecting up all the people, both on screen and there with her, but her face betrayed nothing, giving the impression that her brain was empty, rather than full.

Nick felt something tap on his foot and directed his eyes towards it, but Seth caught the look, grabbed the ball, fiddled with it so it permanately only gave sound feed, cocked his gun and attempted to shoot, "Godd*mmit, its jammed!" so he smacked Nick across the face with the gun, and summoned another one and loaded it, and shot the cieling, and smacked Nick in the forehead which knocked him unconscious and made a loud bang and thump on the ground. "Dispose of the body," Seth said acting as if he had actually killed Nick.

Alyx nodded, knowing it was up to her, then turned around and saw the other person walk in.

"Oh nothing. Just a hold up. Your'e a little late, you know. Maybe you shouldn't've gone out there." she said nonchalantly, knowing where Leonard had been.

She grabbed Nick's body, hoisted it onto her shoulders and made for a window. "You don't mind if I throw him out the window?" she asked.

 

Selene watched in horror. "She's going to throw him out the WINDOW?! How far up are they? Two stories? Three stories?"

"Wait, we're in a basement, lets go to the roof and throw him off!" Seth said happily, almost like a child. "Wait, gotta make sure he's dead," Seth said as he shot the ceiling again, "What about that ball?" he said as he shot it with his gun. "Oh, happy day!" Seth sang[spelling] like he was the Joker or something. "After that let's go meet his 'friends'," Seth told them, with bloodlust in his eyes. "I feel like laughing, oh screw it, hahahahaha!"

"Damn" said John. The summoner cut the live video feed. At least he still had sound. "Dispose of the body" he heard. He was worried that he was dead, but remembered his cordolaine field was active. John breathed a sigh of relief. He could still find out where they were as long as the Gps system was online. Yes! It worked! It wasn't too far away from there. The Chosen would go save Nick! Suddenly he heard a loud bang, and the signal cut off. No! He thought. He could at least guesstimate where they were. He looked at the map carefully, andpointed out where they might be.

Nick started floating to consciousness and when he did, he realized he was being carried, Sh*t, sh*t, SH*T! he thought before he ripped himself out of Alyx's grip and rolled on the floor and jumped up and backed into a corner, before he said, "I think I got knocked out there, lemme guess what happened, that guy," he said pointing to Leonard, "Seth, and whoever you are," he directed at Alyx, "just knocked me unconscious and, by the looks of it, are attempting to throw me off the roof story." He then made a portal, but was stopped by Seth, who had grabbed a tranquilizer from the viewing case behind him and hit Nick with it, "don't worry those aren't poisonous, it'll just knock you out for, i'd say a day or afew hours."

Alyx gazed at Seth and nodded, impressed by his ability. "Still to the roof?" she offered, heaving Nick up and began to carry him again. She grinned. This was excellent.

She loved it here.

 

"Can you still see where they might be?" selene asked anxiously as she leaned closer to John's screen.

Leonard had ignored the girl's comments, figuring she was likely still at an age where she thought she knew everything. Good times, but they ended. He was also impressed at the ruthlessness of these kids. They were quite happy to throw another one off the roof. Leonard wasn't so sure on the idea of killing them, but if they were going to be a problem, then he supposed needs must. Leonard watched the girl heaving the unconscious boy, and had a brief moment considering whether it was wiser to offer to carry him or not. On reflection, he figured that not would give more room to work around it should he be wrong.

 

Nina watched the screen go out with a passive face, but inside she was feeling nervous. Although Nick could move through portals, if he wasn't concious they might kill him first. She wasn't overly worried about him being thrown from a window, since unless he snapped his neck or cut an artery he might well survive at least long enough to regain conciousness and move to a hospital, but rather that they might stab or shoot him.

John pinpointed what might be their location. He was worried that they might already lose someone to the Titans. They needed to save him. "Well" John said, "I'm off to save Nick. Anyone who wants to help get in my car, and we'll be off!" those that wanted to come got in the car. They could only fit a few, so John told the rest to stay at hq and guide them. John started the car. He pressed a button that would remotely open a large hatch. They left, moving towards where Nick last was.

Leo stood in a corner and watched the entire thing unfold. He was really tired and not really excited.

"Wooow........yeaaaaaa.........."

He looked at the confusing mass of chaos happening through the screen.

He went up closer to look at a little more detail than he had been looking.

"I need a drink....quick."

Selene jumped in and followed without a second thought; anything that would save Nick from these horrible people would be worth the effort and time.

She anxiously wrung her hands, hating herself for the fact that she couldn't do anything.

A realization struck her.

If she coul dget there before they threw Nick off the roof, she would be able to fly and save him from the long fall. She quickly said this to John. "...so I could catch him." she finished. "What do you think?"

 

Alyx cackled a bit as she heaved Nick onto the roof. "oh yes. This will be excellent."

"Well sitting here isn't helping." Leo got in the car.

"Yeah its time for me to take some action. I was bored.'

Leo put his feet up and relaxed.

"Tell me when we get there, k Johnny?"

Leo put his hood over his head and relaxed. Stressing before going into a battle was not going to to anybody any good.

Jason jumped up and got in the car before it sped off

"This isn't going to be easy, they might be expecting us."

Jason thought to himself for a moment

"I could take us under the ground and take us up when we get there, but it will take all I have left."

Jason knew that this would take him out of the fight but he didn't care as long as it gave them an edge

Seth grabbed Nick and was about to throw him off of the roof, but then said, "wait, where are my manners? Ladies first, but remember, save some for the rest of us!" He walked backwards and handed the almost lifeless body of Nick to Alyx and said, "and the last of Seth's Rules of Throwing Children of Roofs; have fun!" He stepped back and nodded his head signaling the 'OK'.

Alyx smiled broadly and stepped forward. She raised her arms most unceremoniously and threw Nick off the roof with an elaborate and decorated toss.

She wiped her hands. "Mission accomplished."

 

Selene saw the building in front of them; she saw Nick's body fall off the roof. She swore angrily and blasted out of the car, already in the air. She flew as fast as she could and hit Nick midair, but caught him. He was heavy, but she could make it safely onto the ground.

 

"What!? Son of a-- well, no, DAUGHTER of a b--!" Alyx swore.

Jason lept out of the car and made a stone spear and threw it at the group on the roof

"You mess with one of us and you mess with all of us."

Jason shouted as he sent the spear straight for Seth

"You wont get away this time!!"

Jason shouted again making more spears sending them flying to the roof

John stayed in the car. He closed his eyes, and saw gears turning, metal grinding and parts of all kinds moving around. John's car began changing, unfolding into something awe inspiring. The car parts moved around John, and became a battlesuit. He had prepared for a situation like this. He moved the arm towards the wall and smashed a hole. A wheel on the arm began spinning at great speeds. It tore the wall apart, while he moved along the wall, hoping to topple the edge of the roof over. The roof began to crumble beneath the feet of the Titans. He was about to catch one of the titans, when something caught his eye. A few person were lying on the street in pain. They looked sick. It was the first evil that came from the box. Plague. They had to stop it before everyone in the world was infected, but how?

Alyx cursed herself for not having a aggressive combatant skill, and backtracked, out of range of the spears.

"Is that the best you can do?" she mocked, tossing an idea into the air and into the other boy's thoughts. She knew that she wasn't adept at mind control; thebest she could do was plant ideas.

 

The idea she planted?

 

Come up and battle Seth himself.

 

For she knew that Seth was far superior.

 

 

Selene carried Nick down to the car. "John, he's unconscious, we need somewhere to put him." she said, a little desperate.

Leonard almost felt relieved when Selene made her appearance. Not that he especially cared for the kid, but somehow he felt that his colleagues were a little...off in the head. Besides, if they'd just shot him to begin with the rescue mission would be too late to have done anything useful, and now their desire for finding unusual ways to kill the boy might have just saved his life. As he felt the roof starting to crumble he, the closest to the stairwell, grabbed the two younger titans and pulled them back, away from the collapsing edge of the roof and the approaching robot thing.

 

Nina had slipped into the car in what space was left on the back seat, and climbed out again when she realised it was about to change shape. She lit the flame in her palm and generated a fireball whilst assessing the situation. The group seemed to have enough attack power, although the titans hadn't responded yet. She kept an eye on Selene and Nick - they would likely be the primary target, so she moved closer and got ready to intercept an attack.

John was distracted by the sick and dying when he heard Selene. She was right? They needed somewhere for him to rest. John brought the car back to it's original state. He picked up Nick and carried him to the car. He had an idea for later. John ran into the house. He needed to find the jar. He snatched up a microwave just in case. He had to search quickly, before he was noticed to be missing. He searched the main floor, but found nothing. John ran downstairs. He searched for a vase of jar or pot of anykind, when there it was. Smashed to pieces. That was a downer. John ran up stairs to get back to the fight.

Alyx stared at him, with a gun in her hand. "Ooh, one of the heroes finally makes an appearance." she said coolly, cocking the gun and pointing it at him.

"So where's your flying friend? I'd really like to repay her." she said, keeping her tone cool. "Should I shoot?"

 

Selene erupted into the house, having heard the last of what Alyx had planted in her mind and didn't know any better than to ignore it.

"John!" she shouted.

Jason raised the earth under him so he was now on the roof

"SHOOT I F***IN DARE YOU!!"

Jason shouted as he landed

Jason was trying to get her to shoot, he was already focusing on the bullet in the chamber and was ready to change its path when she shot it

"Okay," Alyx said, giggling a bit, and shot straight at Jason's chest. She danced maddeningly out o fthe way and into the next room, where Seth was still standing.

 

Selene roared with rage and saw Leonard, and assumed that he was on the other side, so she flew straight toawrds him.

 

Alyx reloaded the gun and readied it to shoot.
