Dad
If I recall correctly, Kenpachi puts the bells in his hair on purpose in order to let the opponent know he's coming. He doesn't like sneak attacks and would prefer to face an opponent head-on. It also supposedly takes Kenny several hours to put the last bell on the highest hair on his head because it's just outta reach - and he doesn't allow Yachiru or Ikkaku to do it for him as it would feel wierd for him to have someone else style his hair. That's about right. But what makes him badass is not is his strength, combat abilities, or overall prowess. What it is, is this: How many mofos do you know that can pull off Christmas bells in their hair and make it look good?

That makes a lot of sense since he wants to strike his opponent first. And besides, he has Yachiru on his side. It makes him have a little more cuter side. It made me like the whole Squad 11. Death Metal
Kenpachi. I didn't really like Balthier that much in FFXII.
