DARKPLANT RISING
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eragon I seem to like critisizing overrated books. HP was my last victim; this is next. Phantom Roxas
I know someone who has outright dismissed Percy Jackson as "gay", and yet he and a few others are outright devoted to the Inheritance Cycle, Twilight, and Maximum Ride. I haven't read any of the books and only saw the movie, but reading some stuff online about the books has convinced me it's an extremely derivative series that only got published in the first place because Paolini's parents apparently own a publishing company. I'm supposed to be convinced that he's an awesome writer for writing it when he was fifteen and getting it published later?
Ω Link Ω
Forget you two his parents don't own a publishing company, the movie does suck but the books are awesome -_- don't criticize a book unless you have read them all.

DARKPLANT RISING
don't criticize a book unless you have read them all. Since I'm the more turtle type of men, I'm trying to read all of them and make a lolling list of the reasons why it fails. Though the fact that I can hardly achive it tells us all a message strong enough. Be ready, YCM!

Crystal Alien
I've never read the Eragon book sereies, but the movies look good. My brothers read the whole series, and I s*** you not at least. 20 Times. I believe hes read the first book at least 10 times. I enjoyed the movie, and I don't think it's over rated. Although.. my brother said they made up alot of stuff in the movie.

The books are realy good (In my opinion) but the movie is an abomination that should be erased from existense. *stops there to prevent angry movie rant* However, I do not blame you for enjoying it. The first time I saw the movie, I had yet to read the books, and I enjoyed it, and It´s finally proven I´m not the only one that did.
Mr.WHAM
Yeah the movie was an abomination in my opiniion. I'm not going to lie though Eragon is a classic mythical stor. It is just done well. There are debated on who would win Eragon and Harry Potte for instanc. The first book was a good set up plot wise in my honest opinion. The second book had a lot almost too much preapration in it. The third book Brisingr is beast. Solved a lot of issues and made Eragon in his comopltet current badass self . Wat I don't get is why the author downplays his charcter's own strength...And his parents published it b/c they might actually like what there kid wrote... Bahamut - Envoy of the End
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eragon I seem to like critisizing overrated books. HP was my last victim; this is next. Seriously. Why did this go to such a high place? Discuss. I like the Inheirtance books. They are not the most brilliantly written in places and some stuff does seem to be unoriginal, but it is still a good read. You probably need an active imagination and love for fantasy stuff to fully enjoy this sort of book. Did get a nagging feeling reading Brisingr that it was needlessly dragged out in places - to produce a money spinning fourth. Paranoid maybe. Certainly wouldn't say the series is overrated or a poor book.
Guest Random Dude
The third book was the best, does anybody have any predictions as to who the next rider will be?
Mr.WHAM
The next Rider will either Be Roran or Arya. Probably Arya. The dragon will be green. Also id Nasuada doesn't Roran will become the King of Alagaesia...i have a inkling feeling
Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Don't get me wrong the third book was good, just some of it seemed long for what it added, such as the whole Dwarf thing and Arya killing the new Shade at the end, seriously why create a new baddie and kill him off after 30 seconds? Dunno if the third rider will come out until right at the end because I can't see how they are gonna get the egg. Therefore cover dragon likely to be Shuriken. Anyone know when Book 4 is out? Guest Random Dude
Dunno if the third rider will come out until right at the end because I can't see how they are gonna get the egg. Therefore cover dragon likely to be Shuriken. Anyone know when Book 4 is out? Shruikan is black, not green. The cover of the book will have a green dragon. And as for Roran being the next rider, he would not do it since he puts Katrina and his duties before anything else, it would be Arya, or possiby Elva. The egg can be teleported using the technique Eragon learned to warp objects from one place to another, which is how Saphira's egg was moved from Galbatorix's castle. Shalltear Bloodfallen
Arya killing why create a new baddie and kill him off after 30 seconds? That was Paolinis way of explaining another way to create a Shade and what it would take to use that way instead of the other.
EliminateHRN
I laughed when I saw the title. Eragon is by far not overrated. The only people that I know that know about it is my family. Everyone else is like, "Huh?". I like the Inheritance Cycle. It used to be my favorite book series, but after re-reading Harry Potter and reading Percy Jackson, it slid down my list of favorite book series. It's probably tied with the Twilight Saga as my third favorite series. I liked the movie if I don't compare it with the book. It fails if you compare them. Mr.WHAM
tHE SHADE battle was just supopsed to be a brief epic moment....and it almost was...thye shuuda whopped more ass though And The next dragon is going to be Green. I thought it would MAKE sense to have a black dragon and yellow cover, ya know the opposite of Brisingr but paolini doesmn't think rationally. The Dwarf moment felt like an allusion and dedication to Phoenix Wright IMO, but thats just MO. And im positive that Galbatorix has wards to prevent that from happening...if he didn't tehere would be no point to th story. They'd just gather the elves in du wardenvarden, get the ish they needed from the king and the destroy him. They will not give the last dragon to Elva. Nasuada & Angela won't allow it. There is a set up for the Arya to get to eragon and it is that Saphira will fall for the Green Dragon. And feelings will mix and each couple willl fal in love...bbut that's a strectch Also Roranwould become a Dragon Rider to protect Katrina. He'd not leave her alone. I also have a suspicion that she can use magic... Which would make it easier.Anyhows IF Roran doesn't get a dragon, he's probabaly going to be come king of Alagaesia
Mugen Kagemaru (Main)
I found the series rather interesting. The concept of the Ancient Language was also cool. I wonder what will become of Elva now? Reason I was hoping for a second movie was so I could see what they were going to do with Elva.

Mugen Kagemaru (Main)
Yeah, how they would've portrayed Elva was my only reason for looking forward to a second movie. The first one failed.
