[Clair] The Legendary Longbowman

[spoiler=For those who like reading.]

"Oh, man!" shouted the Celtic Guardian as the Summoned Skull crumbled to dust before him, victim of another vicious White Lightning attack.

"What do we do now?" shouted the Guardian, staring up at the Dark Magician, his eyes bulging out of their sockets. The spellcaster simply put his head in his hands. That elf should really lay off the caffeine.

Suddenly, a bright light flashed from their owner's Duel Disk, and a Warrior emerged, holding a colossal bow and arrow that stood almost as tall as he was.

"I am the Legendary Longbowman. Do not worry," the archer declared confidently. However, he quickly ducked behind the Dark Magician for safety, setting up his huge bow in the process.

"What the hell?" shouted the Guardian, clearly miffed at the warrior's cowardice. "Get out here and fight like the rest of us!" The Dark Magician simply looked over his shoulder nervously.

The Longbowman readied his aim as the "click" of a card being sent to the Graveyard was heard from the Duel Disk above him.

"What the-" muttered the Guardian as he watched the bowman procure a large, orange-tipped arrow. With a war cry, the "legend" let loose the projectile, which struck the other duelist for massive direct damage. The Dark Magician watched the opponent's Life Points drop with an amused expression on his face, and guarded the bowman a little more carefully.

"I can help you win, I promise that," muttered the bowman, a little irritated at the Guardian's coarse behavior.

I'm not real sure about this card, so any feedback on improving it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks~

Effect: If you control a monster(s) with higher ATK, this card cannot be selected as an attack target. Once per turn, you can send 1 card from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard. Based on the card's type, apply the proper effect: ● Monster: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent. ● Spell: Place 1 Arrowhead Counter on a monster your opponent controls. (A monster with an Arrowhead Counter cannot change its Battle Position or declare an attack, as long as this card remains face-up on the field.) ● Trap: This card loses 200 ATK.

bolded: higher than what? i assume its this card's atk, but you might wanna specify it.

maybe a tad op, really too powerful for a mere 4 star. maybe raise its level and add "destroy this card when its atk reaches 0" to the trap effect

If you control a monster(s) with higher ATK then this card, this card cannot be selected as an attack target. Once per turn, you can send 1 card from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard. Based on the cards type, apply one of the following effects:

● Monster: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent's Life Points.

● Spell: Place 1 Arrowhead Counter on a monster your opponent controls. (A monster with an Arrowhead Counter cannot change its Battle Position or declare an attack, as long as this card remains face-up on the field.)

● Trap: This card loses 200 ATK.

I think I fixed the effect.

Now, this card is fairly overpowered. Firstly, there is quite a few cards that have a higher attack, which don't need a tribute. If this was a real card, and you ran Cyber Dragon's in your deck, then you could get this out on the second turn, and keep it on the field for a while.

The effect is 2:1. And, in most decks, the type they run the least of is Traps. So, you basically have a 75-80% chance of getting a good effect.

- It can stay on the field for a while.

- 80% chance of good effect.

- Quite high attack.

As you can see, it's overpowered.

However, this card is fairly realistic, except for a few things. First, what kind of circulation is: IC: JAZIN KAY?

And, the picture, being quite appealing, isn't something I'd expect to see on a YGO card.

The originality, however, is quite low. I'd like to see something other then an overpowered card with a non-creative effect.

All-in-all, I'd say this card only slightly bests average. 6/10.

"maybe a tad op, really too powerful for a mere 4 star." not entirely

And to .Firefox, lol you have a 100% chance of getting a good effect. By sending a trap it makes this card much harder to destroy in battle because of it's Attack being lowered therefore keeping it's ATK lower than other monsters you control.

With 1800 ATK its fine, Effect wise also fine.

You activate its effect by sending a card of any type then based on the type, you gain an effect. First off, for sending a monster to the grave you inflict 800 quite balanced no matter how you look at it.

For sending a Spell card, you can place a Spellbinding Circle effect on a monster. Not exactly Level 5 material. Its balanced enough since it ends when this card leaves the field which can be achieved by a Divine Wrath when it next activates an effect.

For sending a Trap this card becomes harder to destroy by battle because it lower's its attack (smart move i like)

Seems fine. If you do decide to raise the level I recomment doing the attack too. It's safety lies in how low the attack is and if its too low you'll have plenty of monsters with higher attacks which means its harder to destroy. So if it has a decent attack it'll have a better chance of being a little easier to destroy.

(Of course you know that no doubt :3 since you gave it 1800 as a lvl 4)

Aww, I thought I was being creative with this effect. D':

I'll try harder next time. And I always put my image credit where the circulation is supposed to go, since nobody really has cared up until now. How is the pic unrealistic, though? O_o

Where did you get 80%? xD

Anyways, thanks~

@CC - I'll think about upping the level, but I might just leave it the way it is. ^^

Thanks for the comment. ;D

Thank you everybody for the rates~

It's good to see that RC has some detailed reviewers!
