I can understand why Harunami would be hard for people to pronounce, but I don't think Stella would be that difficult imo. In fact, Sveta seems harder to pronounce.

 

I just hope they don't change the game too much, though I'm quite fascinated by the new look of Weyard, or at least the Angara part anyways.

Ok so its 29 november and i downloaded the GS:DD rom and started playing it on no$gba, aside from some graphifcal gliches (just environmental outside of battle) everything works great , even the speed is like 55 FPS, great game, and it takes me back to the days i've played them on the gba.

I can't wait to grab my copy tomorrow. I'll be playing it for hours xD

 

I would have gotten it today, but it doesn't arrive until tomorrow..Oh well. One more day won't hurt.

If somebody can tell me the fundamental difference between Starburst and Flare Wall, I'd appreciate it.

 

According to a couple sites I've looked up, "Starburst" is merely a name change for the Psynergy move Blast (Nova series).

And comparing the Flare and Starburst (Nova) series, Starburst is more powerful and targets more enemies, but costs more PP to use.

The characters are largely forgettable, and the game as a whole is too easy, but battles and the Djinn system are still awesome.

 

Well I wouldn't say the characters are forgettable, but I do agree that the game is too easy. I was expecting a bit more of this game due to the seven year wait, but oh well. It's still an amazing game imo.

 

they changed some of the summons like Boreas

 

Mostly in appearance though. The only other Summon I noticed that got an appearance change was Megaera, but that's because I'm not really far into the game yet.

Apparently there are multiple points of no return in the game, I guess I'll be starting over now to get those Djinn I missed. :[

 

I've noticed. All I can say is, what were Nintendo and Camelot thinking? - -'

It's idiotic, yes, but I don't think it's game-breaking, though this combined with world map djinn is horrible.

 

At least we have a djinn encyclopedia to help out, and three save slots as well. Not counting the collective power of the internets, of course.

 

I'm liking the fact that, from what I've read, the second set of characters have different base classes than the first set. Some of them even have different mixed classes, too...! No item classes, though =/

 

It's easy, but I found the GBA games to be easy too, outside of the superbosses, and a certain boss in TLA.

 

...I wonder if we'll be drop hunting towards the end...

I agree. Nintendo & Camelot must have not thought this through, or thought it would be more challenging to place the Djinn in the no return areas, which if it's the latter, then they made a stupid decision.

True, but it can get pretty annoying to save every 5 mins or so unless you know exactly where each Djinn is.

Yeah I like that as well. The lack of Item Classes is disappointing, but it doesn't make much of an impact on me.

All 3 GS games were pretty easy overall imo, except for the superbosses like you mentioned, and a few boss battles for me.

Well most of my characters are near their 30's now, with Eoleo in my party and a few more Djinn.

 

The first Blados and Chalis fight was a bit disappointing for me though. Would have liked it if they had more HP and maybe given 2 actions per turn.

 

It was still epic regardless, mainly because of the music xD

Blasted through the rest of the game, and am currently running through the bonus bosses right now.

 

The three you can go to before clearing the game are all unique battles, though Sveta's beast mode trivializes most of them. Djinn storm still is as painful as ever, of course. And the battle theme of the bonus bosses brought a smile to my face, though I kinda wish each of them had their own theme like in Lost Age (yeah, I know they were recycled from the first game, but they were unique in the Lost Age).

 

Ah well, let's see if I can finish off the last without dying horribly averaging around level 50...
