My Exodia Deck

Hippocampus

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. This is my first post on this forum, and I decided to post one of my Decks here so that everyone can see it, rate and give feedback. I don't have many new cards at home, so a lot of the ones in this deck might be banned or outdated, but oh well.

Total Cards: 40

Monsters (20):

Exodia the Forbidden One

Left Arm of the Forbidden One

Left Leg of the Forbidden One

Right Arm of the Forbidden One

Right Leg of the Forbidden One

Sangan

Witch of the Black Forest

Magician of Faith

Mystic Tomato

Skelengel

Dark Mimic LV1

Giant Rat x3

Nimble Momonga x3

Penguin Soldier

Millenium Shield

Vortex Trooper

Spells (13):

Pot of Greed

Monster Reborn

Dark Hole

Graceful Charity

Painful Choice

Upstart Goblin x2

Premature Burial

Giant Trunade

Magical Mallet

Last Will

Card of Safe Return

The Shallow Grave

Traps (7):

Call of the Haunted

Defense Draw

Time Machine

The Transmigration Prophecy

Thanks everyone! Oh, and if anyone has any suggestions for cards I can add/take out, that would be very appreciated!

Sorry to say, but this isn't gonna work real well.

Exodia Decks should be First Turn Kill decks. There are a few of ways to do it. First is Citadel Exodia, which uses Royal Magical Library and Magical Citadel of Endymion to provide a draw engine.

Dragon Exodia uses Dragon monsters with Trade-In and Cards of Consonance, as well as Super Rejuvenation for lots of draw. Royal Magical Library can also be included as another draw engine.

Finally, there's an infinite loop with Butterfly Daggar - Elma + Gearfried the Iron Knight + Royal Magical Library for infinite draw. Although the Elma loop is for Traditional only.

I could give you a deck list for any of these if you'd like.

Could you please? I've heard of the Butterfly Dagger combo, but the first two you mentioned are unfamiliar to me.

Add 3 Emissary of the Afterlife.

Add 2 Gold Sarcophagus

Maybe get rid of Time Machine

I can see that your trying to use cards that will increase your draw.

Whatever you do keep Vortex Trooper

I also see that your trying to thin out your deck.

Just try adding cards that increase your draw, search your deck, and thin out your deck. <---

But your deck must remain at 40 cards. So you need to get rid of all the cards that do not let you do the above things.

But you should add some defensive cards. Try adding traps that negate and/or destroy your opponent's monsters.

Thank you! Just for clarification: what packs does Gold Sarcophagus come in?

This is Dragonic Exodia. It's a fairly new deck type, but it can be effective.

20

5x Exodia Pieces

3x Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon

3x Blue-Eyes White Dragon

3x The White Stone of Legend

3x Debris Dragon

3x Cyber Valley

20

3x Toon Table of Contents

3x Cards of Consonance

3x Trade-In

3x Upstart Goblin

3x Hand Destruction

3x Super Rejuvenation

1x Pot of Greed

1x Graceful Charity

The main goal here is to discard Dragon monsters, play Rejuvenation, then Draw a massive amount of cards at the End Phase with Rejuv's effect. If you don't draw into Exodia on the first turn, Cyber Valley can negate your opponent's attacks and end the Battle Phase, buying you a turn or two. Toon Table searches out Toon Dragon, which can be used with Trade-In along with BEWD. White Stone and Debris Dragon are the targets for Cards of Consonance. I didn't include Traps, as Traps generally slow down and interfere with the FTK.

I assume you want to stick with Traditional Format, so I included Pot of Greed and Graceful. To make it legal for Advanced, just take those out and add a pair of Dark World Dealings.
