Well, not sure about episodes, since I only follow the manga... but in the manga, we just
Had a Hanzo vs. Samurai guy fight, which was epic, and the beginning of Asuma vs. Team Asuma
And tell me, for I ask everyone I can this question, do you prefer Naruto before or after Shippuden began?

But of course. Another good thing about Shippuden is everyone's new skills.
Sage Mode, Mangekyo Sharingan, expanded usage of established jutsus like Shadow Possession and Gentle Fist are cool to see.
I'm still waiting to see what "that jutsu" is for Naruto. I don't think it's the new Rasengan he's making, it'd be revealed differently if it was.

I believe that in the anime, we've just seen Hidan and what's-his-face attack the Fire Temple.
Also...
I prefer Shippuden. Naruto is a lot less obnoxious, and we see actual plot development. Not just "Go out on a mission, kill someone, go out on another mission, find a cat. Blah blah blah, take a test, walk through a forest, then fight in a tournament."
Don't get me wrong, I loved Pre-Shippuden. The setup was awesome, and had a lot of cool moments, but... Shippuden has more epic fights, more plot development, and such like that

Either Friday or Wednesday, all depends on various circumstances.
Bout time they released it early for once.
Lotta development for Choji, nothing really happened though :/
Liked the ending though, and it figures there was a whole reason behind Ino-Shika-Cho.
olook, kurenai had teh baby, adurrable :3
I like both for different reasons. The way life was in Part 1 was more fun than in Part 2. But most of the fights in Part 2 were better than in Part 1.
And each had its moments, so I'd say they're even to me.
I'll add your info Party.

Never speak again.
I have lost all respect for you.

Seriously, are you blind? The fights back then were THE SHIZ

And the techniques back then were wicked.

64 Palms, 5 Gates, Rasengan, Chidori, Water Vortez Jutsu, Crystal Ice Mirrors

Dun know watchu talkin bout, boi.

People being stronger does not amount to anything in terms of epicness.

In terms of how big it is, yes

But I muuuch prefered Naruto vs. Neji than Naruto vs. Pain.

Stuff like that, I mean, it may be nostalgia speaking, but I doubt it..

NOW

They are gods.

Before, they were ninjas

Now the fights are just a rip-off of DBZ, before they were more...enjoyable. Because people could actualy use hand-to-hand and GET somewhere (and not be Maito Gai)

Also, new KS.

Naruto vs Sasuke Round 2 will top it...I think.
Naruto vs Sasuke Round 1 kinda did that too though, didn't it .-.

Funny thing about Rock Lee vs Gaara, I was at my friend's house one day in 5th grade.
I had 7 or 8 novels of Naruto, since that was all that was out in America at the time. Then when my friend googles AMV on his laptop, I see something from Naruto, a TV show that just started on Cartoon Network.
I see ROCK LEE fighting GAARA. I'm like 0>>>0
Then when Rock Lee turned red and pounded him in the air, I jizzed my pants.
Then, I looked up Naruto AMVs, constantly being amazed at all this stuff happening.
N-Naruto f-fights S-Sasuke?!
WTF, is that SASUKE? WITH F*CKING WINGS?!
"FUSION, WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY HARD WOOD FLOOR?!"
But mom, I can't help myself..

Back then, Naruto was beyond epic to me.

Orochimaru vs. 4-tailed Naruto didn't even stick into my brain beyond "huge blast of chakra".

Neji vs. Naruto stuck in my brain extremely, because I mean...Naruto had all his chakra points cut off, and STILL managed to win. And the fact Nejiw as proven to NOT be a total dick was also amazing.

@Fusion - 1 didn't. 2 might, though I doubt it.

See, to me, Sasuke vs. Naruto was cool, but...

Dude

It was basically just
"COME BACK SASUKE, SO I CAN GET INTO SAKURA'S PANT- I MEAN GOOD SIDE"
"f*ck you, loser"

That fight showed a heart-wrenching struggle showcasing Naruto, realizing that he regarded Sasuke like a brother, did his best in a desperate situation to recover one of the precious bonds he only just recently managed to acquire.
His rival, his best friend, one of the first bonds he ever acquired after 12 years of scorning solitude was suddenly taken away from him. He saw an evil, ruthless man, one that tried to kill him before, corrupt his friend and taint his heart with darkness. Throughout that fight, he did nothing but try to convince Sasuke what he was doing was wrong and would only consume him until there was no turning back.
Sasuke was manipulated, believing Itachi to be his main priority over everything. He weighed everything in his life, his friends, his village, his own self-worth, all against a path that seemed like it would bring him closer to his one true purpose in life. And as he took that path, he forced himself to sever all ties, rejecting Sakura and trying to kill Naruto, only realizing afterward he was a fool, deluding himself further that Itachi WANTED him to kill one of his friends and decided to forge his own path to Itachi, no matter the obstacle.

Saying that fight had little meaning behind it is BS.

EDIT: Accepted bro.
