It's about Integra Hellsing, leader of Hellsing and Alucard's master, exterminating evil vampires. Serace is turned into a vampire by Alucard by... unmentionable means in the first chapter. It's about her story, Alucard, Integra, and Nazis trying to take over the world in 2005-ish times.

DBZ is El's and my favorite animanga and revolutionized Shonen manga. Oda, Kishimoto, and other mangakas have praised Toriyama as a source of inspiration.

And Gurren Lagann is only 27 episodes, I could understand not watching DBZ for the number of episodes, but GL is really good for something so short.

It's called Bitter Virgin, and it's AMAZING. (truly. And it proves your violence theory wrong, not EVERY manga needs violence.)

 

Put it before Soul Eater, or at least right after, fr srs.

 

Put it even before Azumanga Daioh.

 

 

Speaking of, how's your progress on Soul Eater?

Violence.

Love Hina is about love and it has a ton of violence, Death Note has constant murders, Eyeshield 21 is about football, but the quarterback always fires his machine gun on people..

Even Bakuman which is a slice-of-life has its violent moments, though it's the least violent I've seen.

Violence makes the world of manga go round, I'm sorry >.>

Perhaps you missed the part in my post where I said it was only my opinion?

 

Also, it was an average manga in the beginning, and just got worse from there.

 

The only likeable character was the girl Alucard rescued in the beginning, whose name contained a V, I think, who also became a vampire.

 

Alucard is some unbeatable gunmaster who has this shadowy form that is probably supposed to look very cool.

 

Yes, supposed, I was more impressed with Kyubi.

 

And I was NOT impressed with Kyubi.

 

There are walls of dialogue and exposition that compete with Death Note.

 

The art itself (even leaving aside it was a bit too dark for my taste) left a lot to be desired.

 

Most of the character's would-be traits were just annoying, such as that werewolf person Alucard killed early on.

 

 

All in all, there was nothing that drew me in except for the fact that girl with a V was there.

 

And even then, that's not saying much.
