Mario's enemy: A giant turtle who kidnaps a princess EVERY SINGLE GAME/that one guy from the Mario&Luigi series....Sonic's enemy: Eggman/Dr.Robotnik/Knuckles/Shadow/Metal Sonic

Uh huh

Just wondering, are you arguing whether the franchises are better, or the individual characters?

Cause I'm comparing the latter

Meaning your argument is irrelevant in my case

I'm comparing EVERYthing.

@El - I actually agree.

Also, compare the Mario Bros Super Show vs. Sonic Underground

Yeah.....

Plus, Sonic is cool, and speaks coherently.

All Mario can say is "Mama Mia" and "Potato potahto"

In a fight without power-ups, than Sonic wouldn't be able to go Super Sonic (Chaos Emeralds would be power-ups here)

In a fight with power-ups, Mario has a plethora of things to use, Ice Flower, Invincibility Star, Metal Cap, etc.

Basically with power-ups, Mario has variety vs Sonic's power, so it'd depend on their usage of each

Without power-ups, it's down to dodging the spin dashes and close combat, which I believe Mario would triumph in

Back in an hour, tutor's here

KK.

But still, in a fight, Sonic would win.

Without power-ups, Sonic has the advantage of speed.

in a fight with power-ups, Sonic has the lightning bubble, the water bubble, and the fire bubble.

Not to mention super sonic.

Which is faster, and stronger.

Mario has a HUGE disadvantage in speed, and his metal form would be the only one capable of doing anything.

Meanwhile, Sonic also has an invincibility power-up.

Super Sonic is a complete rip-off of Super Saiyan >.> just saying

As for fighting, true that Sonic's speed is an advantage, but I think Mario's more experienced in close combat and power

For Sonic to utilize his speed in combat, his main strategy should be trying to confuse Mario on where he'll strike, then aim for a blindspot with a punch or hit as he zooms by

So Mario being the expert and experienced fighter that he is, should be able to read this attack pattern and then when Sonic's hit and run strategy doesn't work, he'll have to go in for close combat

Which Mario is great in, and he has good grappling moves

So it depends on how Mario would react to Sonic's fighting style and whether he can force him into a close combat situation or not

And like I said, Invincibility Star would be immune to Super Sonic and on even terms with Sonic's Invincibility Boost

Sonic looking cooler and having better games is your opinion

Fusion, have you ever heard of Sonic Battle?

Or Sonic and the Black Knight?

Or the fact that Darkspines Sonic uses HAND TO HAND COMBAT DESTRUCTIVELY!?

Yeah, all of them are hand-to-hand combat.

Sonic is more experienced than Mario.

And the Homing Attack is still destructive in close combat.

And the Fire Summersault and Bounce Attack with Light Speed Dash and Ancient Light will also be destructive in Close Combat.

Not to mention I beat your Mario as Sonic in Final Destination.

EDIT: But the thing is, they both wear gloves O_O

No thanks to looking at the pics? What a tragedy.

They're vocaloids in Karaoke....

Now can someone tell em how to post pics in this goddamn forum?

image tags don't work.

@Fusion - Mario is a plumber, he don't have combat experience. Sonic is experienced in fighting Robotnik, and Eggman.

Fusion, have you ever heard of Sonic Battle? Never played it

Or Sonic and the Black Knight? Never played it, heard it sucked :/

Or the fact that Darkspines Sonic uses HAND TO HAND COMBAT DESTRUCTIVELY!? Again, fights with power-ups have varied factors to it

Yeah, all of them are hand-to-hand combat. I can see that..

Sonic is more experienced than Mario. Mario appeared in 1985, Sonic in 1991, other way around

And the Homing Attack is still destructive in close combat. So is jumping (he can squash goombas and other enemies COMPLETELY :P)

And the Fire Summersault and Bounce Attack with Light Speed Dash and Ancient Light will also be destructive in Close Combat. A bunch of fancy moves sounds nice, but if tons of attacks are key to winning a fight, then you could say Naruto will never defeat Sasuke (which would be a lie)

Not to mention I beat your Mario as Sonic in Final Destination. Shut up, that was your skill > my skill, not Sonic > Mario

EDIT: But the thing is, they both wear gloves O_O Uh yeah...I guess
