Shadow Zero
This whole thing is stupid anyway. Everyone knows that Pokemon only died in the Pokemon Adventures manga, which is better then the anime anyway.
Mr. Pipinpapancopalopolas
No, Blues ratticate died in the game
Blake
That's only theorized. I say he released it 'cause it sucked. Also, his name is GREEN although commonly mistaked as Blue. *Raises Flame Shield and points to the Pokemon Special Manga*
Mr. Pipinpapancopalopolas
Oooh... I just always thought he was blue, but I guess it would make sense to listen to sombody who's read the manga. so who is blue?
Blake
... Someone did not flame me for saying his name is Green?! *Hears angel music* XD Anyways, Blue is the Girl in FireRed and LeafGreen, although she originally looked different. OnSlaUghT
Who the hell names their child after a colour!
Shadow Zero
In japan, you do not name kids after colors, colors name your kids.
Sploda
The name of our rival changes depending on the region you live in and what game you own. If you played Blue Version then his name was red, if you played FireRed it was Green, HOWEVER in Silver, Gold, Crystal, HeartGold, and SoulSilver when you face him as a Gym leader his name is BLUE. Blake
That was due to an Error in translation in the original GSC, where they called him Blue to make it more familiar to the non-Japanese audience, as Green was never out of JApan! They kept it in HG/SS! Serebii said that!
Shadow Zero
They should have stuck with the original! D:<
Sploda
Well in the HG/SS games in my house his name is Blue.
Dark
That's only theorized. I say he released it 'cause it sucked. Also, his name is GREEN although commonly mistaked as Blue. *Raises Flame Shield and points to the Pokemon Special Manga* Manga =/= Game And it honestly depends which game you are talking about. More often than not, for FRLG, he's referred to as "Gary", rather than Blue or Green. In HGSS, he is called Blue when referring to the Gym Leader. Blake
In Japan, the Gym Leader of Viridian is GREEN.
Sploda
But You and I aren't in Japan so his name is BLUE [/argument]
Blake
But, Japan is where he is from, and what his name is in Manga, so his name is Green.
Sploda
Manga =/= Canon, the games are. Furthermore Blue Version is Green Version with a different color and his name changed. Argument invalidated. Also he is from Pallet Town in the Kanto Region, not Japan.
Blake
The series is made in Japan. In Japan, his name is Green.
Sploda
Again we aren't in Japan so that doesn't matter. Japan seems to be the basis of your argument, however as Americans we only care about the versions sold here IN AMERICA so Green Version =/= Canon IN AMERICA. Blake
There is one true canon. The one true canon is his name is GREEN. I don't care about your hair in America! He was made Green, and only became Blue because no International Green version was released.
Sploda
There is one true canon. The one true canon is his name is GREEN. I don't care about your hair in America! He was made Green, and only became Blue because no International Green version was released. Then what do you call LeafGreen? In all Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold, and SoulSilver games he is BLUe not GREEN. Further more Red Version has him named Blue. Your basing it off of a Manga and an old game, I am basing mine off of current generation games.
Blake
In FR and LG he is named Green, in Japan! In HG/SS he is named Green, in Japan! I am basing it off modern games!
