20th Century?

19th was easily Das Kapital, followed by The Communist manifesto, The Poverty of Philosophy, and Thoreau's Walden. Oh, and stuff by this guy, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georg_Wilhelm_Friedrich_Hegel

Worst of the 21'st (That I have seen so far) is "No Logo" by Naomi Klein.

20th though. Hmm. It is "Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism" by Vladimir Lenin

yes were were forced to read though it during history

the reason why its so important is becouse it gave reasons for Hitlers racsism and what he planned on doing about it im talking about history here folks

also this book is very racey so dont read it if you dont have to

actually its more about hitler's struggle to become a politician, his violent and treasonous rise to power, and his actions as Chancellor and Dictator.

if any teacher assigned students to read Mein Kampf, they would have to be out of their mind. its 720 pages, 2 inches thick, and typed in 10 pt font. it took me three months to read the whole book. even i had trouble reading it, as the vocabulary and intensity of the metaphorical language and logic are astoundingly difficult. Having quite possibly the widest vocabulary and best grammatical skills in the sophomore class, even i found it very difficult to read, and much of it was so complex i had to read through it many times and analyze the phrases to get a clearer meaning from the writing.

one thing is for sure though, this book convinced me Hitler was a brilliant man, possibly one of the greatest and most hypnotizing public speakers, and one of history's most powerful rulers.

yes he was and we read a condesed version i still think its one on the most historically inportant books in the 20th century

Despite having not read the book I do not believe their is such a dramatically condenced version in existance, and as far as I know there would be little point as to read such a version, as I know for a fact there is little in their that isn't "extremely important" or reliant on the rest of the book to fully put it into context.

Of course, I haven't read it, this is merely educated theorum.

How am I right if you still claim there to be a condenced version? I said there was none, you claim I am right, and then, in the same sentance (possibly due to punctuation errors), claim that you still read one.
