In an attempt to make his daughter a world famous duelist, he constantly trained her from the moment she could understand the game, though his efforts failed. Chiyoko was also emotionally unstable as a child, and still is, having a subconscious that seems completely void of emotion, though she had consciously suppressed the personality in an effort to retain a sense of normality.
