ArtemisFowl
Jecht watched as Selene and Luke hurried out of the class. He still had his potion to do. He had read over the instructions several times, still confused. Thanks to his father he had gotten the right ingredients but he wasn't entirely sure which was which. "Okay, still for two minutes." Jecht muttered as he added something into his couldren. It was turning a sickly green color. Jecht glanced at what the others were doing, his looked nothing like their's. He just continued stirring hoping nothing too bad would happen.
DarkAngel787
Slughorn took pity on the boy and walked towards him. "M'boy, just a dash more of lovage and it'll turn lilac. There we go. Yes. See? Easy if you try." he said with a wink and walked away to take a look at others'."No, Adams, stir twice COUNTERCLOCKWISE. Not Clockwise. And no, Cheyenne, let it sit for two minutes, not thirty seconds. That's not NEARLY long enough. There we go. Mm, passable..." he moved from one student to the next. Selene continued to walk with Luke. "Are we really going to Pomfrey's? Are you alright?" ((gtg for a bit))
The Final Messenger
Virgil was bored of class so he cast a spell to make him puke. He puked right on his partner's side of the table and was excused to go to Madame Pomfery. in the halls he saw Luke and Selene. He waved at them and joined them, and said, "What are you out for? I cast a spell on myself to get out of class." He looked at Luke and saw he was faltering in his steps, "Did he recite one of his 'prophecies'?" Compass
Luke sighed. "Yeah, that was fake, but I'm fine. I was actually thinking...Call this a hunch, but I think my profecy has something to do with this school. Didn't the headmistress say something about a girl's bathroom being out of order? That sounds a little fishy to me.". He waved a bit to the raven claw who walked up beside them. "Yeah, but I only have one. The same one every time...". He sighed. The Final Messenger
Virgil walked to Luke and said, "say that poem again and let me write it down, I'm going to the Library on my free time and try to decipher it. On a lighter note "I think tonight is the night for one of my frequent 'walks' around Hogwarts, but to the girl's bathroom." He walked to a painting and lifted it and found a secret passage, he then and said to Luke and Selene, "Are you coming or what?" and proceeded to walk to through the passage. The True Ace Attorney
(Just when I thought it'd be okay to step out and do a bit of gaming, this thing explodes. Curses.) Entering the class room and taking a seat at the same table as Selene, Elena pulled out her obscenely heavy, magically massive-on-the-inside, ingredients box. As she did so Slughorn began to speak. "Welcome, welcome! Today, we will start out simple... though, not TOO simple, of course! Fifth years, Confusement and Befuddlement droughts. The instructions of which are on the right side of the board! Sixth years! Sorry to have to group the two years together...but... oh well, that aside. Sixth years! Draught of Living Death, please, the instructions of which are on the LEFT side of the board. Begin! Begin!" As the other students began to gather any missing ingredients, as well as make as much of a din as possible, Elena made her way over to Slughorn, "Erm, Professor?" she yelled slightly, to catch his attention. "Hmm?" answered Slughorn, hearing though not noticing where it came from. After spotting Elena he broke into a grin, "Ah, Miss Noisét! What can I do for you?" he said, jovially. "I was wondering if... If I could create the Draught of Living Death rather than a Beffudlement Draught." "Well of course you can, my dear girl! I haven't had such a superb potion maker in my class since Mr. Potter! And his mother was the one who preceded him!" he gave Elena a amused look, "But with you, we've broken that small family chain haven't we?" Then adding with a laugh, "Unless you're related yourself!" "I'm afraid not Professor, and thank you for giving permission." She said meagrely. "Not at all! Not at all! Now go mix up a potion that'll have us all needing several flasks of Wiggenweld Potion to help us back on our feet!" "Of course Professor." She said, blushing slightly. No teacher ever complemented her as much as Slughorn, but she wasn't exactly remarkable in other subjects. Sitting back down at the table, she began to work on her potion. As she got around to stirring her cauldron of lilac liquid, Slughorn had come over to the table to check on the progress. As he peered into both Selene and Luke's potions he said, "Ah, Selene. Good, good. And you, Luke...hmm...not what I expected! I didn't expect you to be doing sixth year work. But it's alright, though a bit more of bean juice wouldn't do much harm. Top marks for both of you!" he said, nodding emphatically. "You'll still be doing the homework the other fifth years are doing, though, m'boy Luke. You can begin; we still have some class time. Look up the effects of Sneezewort and write a six inch essay on other potions its used for. That's all!". As he headed onto Elena's work he observed as she stirred the cauldron religiously, with seven stirs counter-clockwise then a single clockwise. "Why, that's a rather interesting method you're performing there Miss Noisét." "Thank you?" She said tentatively, "I've been practising a lot of potions during the holidays and I've found that heading off of the beaten track can sometimes lead to better results." "Well I must say, it does seem to be clearing much faster than come others." Slughorn said, astounded. "Anyway, you'll still need to do the set homework. And that's a-" "A six-inch essay on Sneezewort. I heard you tell the others but sir, I could tell you what Sneezewort does right now, as well as potions it's an ingredient" Elena interrupted, still religiously stirring the cauldron of highly transparent liquid. "Sneezewort is a herb that grows from the refuse of tree matter and will cause violent sneezing if inhaled, hence it's name and is poisonous to sheep as well as other livestock. Aside from the Beffudlement Draught it is also used in many common itching potions as well as-" She broke off as she saw Luke run out of the room. Slughorn turned around as Selene quickly gave Luke an excuse for his actions. After he had excused the two and allowed Selene to take Luke to the Hospital Wing he returned to Elena. "Should I continue sir?" Elena asked casually. "What?" Slughorn said, surprised, "Oh. No, no don't worry Miss Noisét. You're excused from the homework. You already seem to be able to tell me about any ingredient I'd want to know about." Relieved by his response and withdrawal of homework, Elena set to work on a Wiggenweld Potion, after all, what's the point of making a poison if you can't make the antidote, unless you're reckless or spiteful. Collecting the ingredients from her container, she managed to brew a Wiggenweld Potion before the lesson was over and, after presenting her finished potions to Slughorn and receiving his praise, she collected her bags, as well as Selene and Luke's and headed up to the Hospital Wing. Entering the room where the two were, she handed them their bags and said, "You left these in Potions so I brought them up. Can't stop to chat though I've got Herbology now. Talk to you during break." And rusking out of the Hospital Wing, she tore down to the grounds and proceeded towards the greenhouses where Herbology usually took place. (Look! An essay!) ArtemisFowl
Jecht smiled innocently at Slughorn as he starting added things to his cloudren and returned to glaring at him once he was gone. "Well, maybe if these frikin things had labels on them." Jecht muttered looking at the "lilac" colored liquid in the pot infront of him. He was wondering to what extent would it work. So Jecht picked up a spoonful of the potion and inhale it. He immediatly felt a wave of dizziness and wobbled on his legs. Luckily he recovered and didn't fall over. DarkAngel787
Selene nodded, deep in thought. "If you say its fishy, maybe since we've been excused from class, we sholud take a look... hey, Virgil!" she said, waving to the Ravenclaw. She walked withthe group and looked around. "I believe its on the...fourth floor?" she said. She walked to the moving staircases that were nearby. "Let's see. I hope these don't move around on us." she said with a weak smile. She looked around and found a staircase that seemed to lead to the fourth floor. The Final Messenger
Virgil walked out of the passage and followed Selene to the stairs, but they shfted and Virgil fell down two flights before landing on the 4th floor stairs. He stood, brushed is pants off called for Selene and Luke and snuck into the library and sat at the table near the back of the library so nobody would see him, took out a piece of paper and a quill with ink, and waited for the others to come. DarkAngel787
Selene quickly followed with Luke. She sat down next to Virgil."What?" she asked. She looked around at the library, making sure Madam Pince was nowhere in sight. She almost laughed; She looked around and found that Madam Pince was talking to the caretaker, Argus Filch, near the restricted section. It was a rumor that Filch had been her love interest for a while. She looked around and was surprisd to find her cat, Ginger, wandering round the library. She knew that her cat loved to wander around; but she was surprised to find him here.
Compass
Luke followed the two without a second thought. "So...what are we doing in the library?". He asked, not bothering to hide his skepticism. "I thought the girl's bathroom would be a more logical place to look.". He face-Palmer himself, realizing how perverted he had sounded. "Sorry about that. but what are we doing in the library?". Luke absentmindedly took out a chocolate frog at let it hop around on his hands. The Final Messenger
"We went here because the Girl's Bathroom is off limits so i'm looking there tonight, if you want to you can come, but we'll have to risk a very long detention," Virgil said to Luke, "I also came hear to hear your poem and to write it down and see what it could mean." He took out the parchment and inkbottle and dipped his quill as he said, "Now, what was that poem of yours again?"
DarkAngel787
Selene nodded, agreeing with Virgil's logic. "yeah, that would make more sense," she said. "you know, I wonder it's the same bathroom with the chamber of secrets.... though I think that's the out of order one on the second floor. You've heard the stories, right?"She looked at Luke. "And... maybe the poem... hmm... you probably ARE a seer. It could have something to do with the near future." she added. "I'll make sure Madam Pince doesn't see us."She leaned her back casually against the table, watching madam Pince. She was at the desk wher eyou went to check things out, and she looked like she was reading."Good thing. She hardly ever stirs when she reads!" Naimo
"I thought I'd find you here," Tasmin suddenly interjected, appearing literally out of nowhere, her schoolbag swung casually over one shoulder. From first appearances, it looked as if Tasmin was carrying all her homework in there. "You probably didn't realise I was in Potions today, apparently the N.E.W.T people have to be seated at the back." She noticed they appeared to be in the middle of something, though it took several seconds for her to say, "Oh, are you doing something right now? I, er, couldn't help but hear what you said; you probably didn't notice me again, hehe. What is it about the girls bathroom you were saying?" The Final Messenger
"Ok I have a somewhat good memory and from the train I could remember this; But see, above the mimic rout, So mimic means copy and rout might be route which means pathA crawling shape intrude. Crawling shape, like bugs or something, but where would they intrude?A blood- red thing that writhes from out. Blood red thing, that could only mean blood, that comes from out, probably a bodyThe scenic solitude. the scenic peace of bering alone", Virgil said, not really realizing Tasmin was there, as he wrote that much down, "So basically this is what the parts of the poem I remembered mean together, "Above the copy's path a crawling shape, will barge in somewhere and might make someone bleed when they're alone. That's what I translated from that part of the poem it's ready for what might happen suggestions"
DarkAngel787
Selene looked at Tasmin. "Wer'e going to take a look at the out of order one; we're curious to why it's out of order," she explained. "And also... Luke had... well..." she said, looking to Luke for help. "He had... uhhh...."She had no idea how to explain his seer-ness to Tasmin. She slumped against the table, deep in thought. "He had...a...vision...again..." she said softly, wondering what Tasmin's reaction would be."But are you okay? You iddn't look so goo dlast night," she said, changing the subject. The Final Messenger
Virgil looked up and was surprised to see Tasmin, "You didn't hear what I said earlier did you?" Virgil asked writing down more important notes about that part of the poem he had written, he gave it to Tasmin, "Since you already know our plan, you can read the agenda of the poem and give us suggestions to what it could mean," he said with a malevolent smile on his face. He left to find a book on Divination.
Naimo
Tasmin just sleepily looked at them, and a silence hung for several seconds as she slowly took in what they were saying. "Oh. Visions aren't that uncommon, you know, my aunt claimed she saw loads of visions in her lifetime, but we don't think she's a Seer, she got a T in her Divination O.W.L.s. She was probably a bit insane really, but a wizard neighbour we knew was a real Seer, even though he never boasted about it, so I'm not too freaked about all this Seer stuff. What sort of vision did he see? And as for last night, people always say I walk like a ghost, I like to think I drift more." She spoke all this with such casual heartiness, it was clear nothing unusual bothered her that much. Tasmin turned to Virgil. "Unfortunately I did, but I don't know what the poem means - not like this anyway. I could look over it for you, but you'll have to wait, I don't often decipher these sort of things quite quickly. I like to take my time over them."
The Final Messenger
"Yeah, i thought you'd say that," Virgil said flipping through a book, "Anyways it probably won't make sense until we have the entire poem." He shut the book and put it back. "But this part tells me someone has to carry a copy of something and home or house be infiltrated by a crawling organism, as well as be alone," Virgil said staring at the others, "So this means if everyone sticks together nothing bad should happen." DarkAngel787
Selene nodded. "That's reassuring," she said quietly. "But what about the rest of the poem...?"Just then the bell rang. it was time for their next class."Are we going to skip? Or should we go?" she asked."Well, I have care of magical creatures next...with the hufflepuffs...so...hmm..." she was deep in thought, deciding whethr or not to skip or go. The Final Messenger
"Selene and Tasmin you can go, me and Luke are the ones who said we needed to go to Madame Pomfrey's so you have no real reason to be absent," he said ushering them to the door. He turned to Luke and said, "You've been unusually silent for a while, so will you tell me now what the rest of the poem was?" Virgil sat down by Luke and dipped his pen again and put the words "Poem part 2 on other side" in small letters on the parchment
Compass
Luke had sat daydreaming for awhile, but then snapped himself out of it. "Sorry. I think it's something like:". Luke recited the rest of the poem in. A normal voice, more as a question then as a poem. "Okay...so what do you think it means? Is it circuminstantial or...". Luke lapsed back into silence, thinking about his chicken dream and mixed feelings he felt about being in a girl's bathroom.
The Final Messenger
"Ok so Luke I got a few definitions for some and hear they are," Virgil said writig down exactly what he said, It writhes- it writhes- with mortal pangs, so that could mean writhing in pain with mortal pangs so that means the thing or person that would be doing/or done to the things in the first part is mortal, which is good or bad to hearThe mimes become it's food... mimes equal speechless people or it could men actors, so speechless people/actors that are eatenAnd serephs sob at vermin fangs... angels cry at the things fangs"In human gore imbued, in human blood written or put." Virgil wrote this and examined his notes, "so in all the poem might mean this: Above the copy's path a crawling shape, will barge in somewhere and might make someone bleed when they're alone, the person writhes in pain with mortal pangs, the speechless become its food, and the angels will cry at the vermin who is doing all of this's fangs. ArtemisFowl
Jecht was extremely glad when the class ended, thanks to Proffesor Slughorn Jecht didn't do too bad. He didn't know how he would do the homework. That meant another night copying some book. He was curious to find out where Selene and the other boy, Luke had gone. The boy didn't look sick. He just shrugged and exited the room, in the doungens, like everyone else. He broke apart from the group of Gryffindors and bega his search for Selene and Luke. DarkAngel787
Selene was walking in the hallways, planning to go to the grounds, and then she saw Jecht. "Jecht!" She said, walking over to him. "Luke and Virgil have gone to the hospital wing. I'm going down to Care of magical Creatures, you coming?" she asked. She made sure she had her belongings and she began to walk with jecht down the marble staircase towards the main door, so they could go down to where Care of Magical Creatures was going to be held. "I've heard that Dashwood is actually a decent teacher," she said conversationally.
