Virgil swung his head to look at Regulus with cold, unnerving eyes, and said, "Yes, I am positive that I shall find what I am looking for, and if that is true, we are in for a fight, a bloody fight, in which we cannot look our opponent in the eye." Then the statue's mouth started to open and, she came out; the second basilisk, the female one who gave birth to the ones they had to fight last week. "We are now royally screwed."

Regulus tilted his head a bit. "There are more?" he said in disbelief. He wasn't there when they had to fight them before. He thought there was only one and it was slain a long time ago. He was wondering why Virgil was acting so strange. Maybe this was just his personality. He never really go to know him even though they went to school together four years prior to this year. Then the mouth started to tremble and lower. "Uh-oh." He knew about basilisks. He read a book on them once. He knew it was death if he looked it in the eye. Regulus pointed his wand towards the statue before the basilisk emerged. "Avis!" He said loudly setting free from his wand a flock of birds. He then pointed to them and said "Oppugno!" The birds flying towards the basilisk as it emerged. Regulus turned no looking towards that direction. "Those birds will not hold up long. And unless you have any ideas I'm going to make it very hot in here." Regulus said. He was thinking of using a spell that he would have no control over. Fiendfyre. He never actually used the spell before but he knew about it and he knew how to used it. Just not how to control it. Regulus was great with spells they came naturally to him. But the more dangerous ones scared him and made him hesitate, because of this he had to practice those ones.

Jecht followed behind Hunter and Selene as she talked to Headmistress McGonagall. Maybe they should've alerted the teachers first. He looked around at the students who were in a panic and talking to each other with looks of surprise, fear, and confusion. He was wondering about who would be attacked next. Jecht was worried for those around him. What if the ghost went farther than just knocking someone out. He didn't know if he would be next. Because he was already attacked would that higher his chances or lower his chances of being attack?
