It had been many years since the end of Duel Academy and the demolition of it. Since then, a new company has taken that roll, DME Inc. have opened universitys all over the globe. They have been sucessful but they thrive to make the biggest and greatest university ever, on the island in which Duel Academy was built. One of the DME's lead directors, Professor Weyland has objected to biulding on that island on the grounds that there was too much strange activity on that island.

 

In reply to Prof. Weyland's request, DME sent in a team of highly trained graduates from each of the universies to check the island and to make sure it is safe. Unknown to them, the Duel Academy still exists, in a dimension parallel to our own and the Shadow Realm. This dimension is the Twilight Dimension and there are certain points that our world llinks to theit world, Duel Academy for one. It will be only a matter of time before the duelists sent to the island will be transported to the Twilight Dimension, which is filled with dark forces.

 

They will have to embark on a great journey in the Twilight Dimension in an attempt to return to their home world. You are one of these duelists, boarding the one way trip to Duel Academy Island.

Personality:Alex is calm and relaxed. He does not rush into things and tries to look at the options before him. He can be quick thinking and confident when the time comes but not usually.

 

Bio: Alex Cane was born into a rich family that sent him off to one of the most prestigious universities, owned by DME Inc. . Alex liked his life in the academy and was skilled at duel monsters, so skilled he caught Prof. Weyland's attention when he was looking for the duelists to explore the island. The Professor met with him personally to ask him and he agreed. He needed some exitement in his life, but would he have accepted if he knew what was going to happen?

The First Post

 

All the graduates were expected to be at the DME Main building at 10:00 am sharp as they would first need briefing on their mission. Professor Weyland stood near the plane, his short blonde hair shaking in the wind. He wore a blue suit with a red tie and stood tall and proud.

Alex Cane hurried through the town. "Damn! I'm late!" he exclaimed looking at his watch while runnning through the town. He pushed past people and rushed through the sub way which led him out near the DME Main Building. He ran to the doors, standing still for a moment, making himself presentable. He walked through the doors and the receptionist looked up from her note book. "And you are?" she said, ignorantly looking back at her computer. "I'm here for the Duel Island expedition, my name is Alex Cane," he said in a harsh voice to get her attention. "Go through the doors and turn left. Second door on your right," she replied checking his name off of what appeared to be the expedition participant list. He went down to door a want straight out, into a large open landing pad with a small plane on it. There were several other students there, but he recognised none of them and went and stood with them, not atracting any attention.

Kazu sat by the doors leading to the landing pad of the main DME building. Watching a few of the other students, Kazu had been mentally recording each of their faces. After all, if they had also been requested to partake in this expedition, then they can't be too bad at dueling. At least that seemed logical anyway. Why send a bunch of duellists to inspect an abandoned island wwhere reported "strange activity" has been occuring, if the "strange activity" was not Duel Monsters related, unless this turned out to be a plot by some millionaire with an irrational hatred of duellists who wanted to kill them all off with an incredibly over-comlpicated and expensive plot. Chuckilng to himself, Kazu stood up, though still not leaving the wall. As he stood up another student ran through. As the new student proceded to "blend in" with the others, Kazu cleared his throat loudly and said clearly to the new arrival, "You're late, though I doubt you'll be the only one.".

Alex turned, regaining his usual cool. "So what? There will be more to come," he replied before sitting on the metal railing leading down to the plane. He had been eager to try out his ace card Goldust Dragon since he had obtained it and hoped this expidition included something about duel monsters. It had been very suspicious that only very skilled duelists were invited, as if DME were expecting some duels to happen and for them to be important. Alex couldn't escape the feeling that something bad was going to happen and that it was only a matter of time before it did. He glanced at Weyland who was chacking his watch, the time was 10:05 am and duelists were still absent.

Daylien wandered through the streets towards the DME Inc. building at a mellow pace. He was supposed to be meeting on the lift off site at 10:00am sharp but the Professor had called and specifically requested Daylien's presence so what difference would five or ten minutes make. As he entered the lobby and strode past reception without even glancing at the woman behind the counter, she struggled to chase after him. "Excuse me!" she squeaked, clearly terrified, "Excuse me, name please!"

"Daylien," he replied shortly and in a manner that ended the conversation instantly. He knew his way around this building anyway so there was no need for some under-qualified receptionist to point him in the right direction. As he marched into the lobby, Professor Weyland wore an expression of mild anxiety. "Typical reaction to a psychic..." Daylien snorted internally. He surveyed his companions for the coming trip and found them all to possess incredible duelling spirit. In fact the two strongest were already engaged in a verbal jousting match. Sitting down, he sighed and thought "This is going to be a long trip..."

Ignoring the glibness of the new guy, Kazu slumped to the floor and started to pull his hood over his face when another person entered. This guy towered above Kazu and had an ugly look on his face. "Hey you," called Kazu, "the bald one." This guy was interesting. He seemed older than most who were here and his face didn't exactly seem like he was nervous, anxious or even excited about the coming expedition. Kazu had to know this man.

Daylien needed around a full two minutes to alert himself to the fact that someone had called his name. To be honest he had no interest in a friendship with anyone here but how that differed from any other day was a mystery. "Best just be civil so that everything on this ludicrous island moves a lot more smoothly and cleanly," he thought to himself, "Isolating yourself from the group is definitely not going to help whatsoever." Daylien looked up to the source of the voice and found himself staring at a head full of jet black hair that he could only dream of. He was shorter than Daylien but only by several inches, a lot less than most. "Yeah..." Daylien drawled, "What can I do for you?"

Kazu loked up to the man that now stood before him. Felling quite awkward now, despite this originally being his idea, he started to speak. "Hello. My name is Kazu and, as I'm sure you know, I'm a duelist. Firstly, let me just say that that is an amazing birthmark you have on your face there. Secondly, I'd like to ask you something. You seem older than most of us. Are you a student, or were you simply requested?" Kazu extanded a hand to the man after finishing, hoping to high heavens that the opposing man did not feel any animosity towards him.

"Amazing huh..?" thought Daylien, a little taken aback, "That's the first positive adjective ever used to describe my panther mark." This Kazu was certainly courteous enough, and in Daylien's mind he should reply in the same fashion. "The name's Daylien. I'm younger than you think, I just graduated early. My Professional-Amateur tour schedule was booked up solid for the next six months but Professor Weyland... Well, let's just say I owe him more than a favour or two." Despite losing some of his emotions, Weyland's help in keeping his powers in check was something that Daylien would not take for granted or forget in the near future. "Now what about you? What did you excel in at University? We may need some tag strategies if this island is as dangerous as Weyland's mood makes it seem."

Kazu immediately felt much better from his remark.This guy was not as frightful as Kazu had made him out to be and considering his politeness, Kazu believed that this conversation could, at least, lead to a mutual acquaintancy. "Me? I'm nothing special really but I do have some decen and, as far as I know, unique cards. Most are monsters that focus on using cards in the same column as them to gain an advantage. Either that or they just have quite high attack. As far as tag strategies go though, my deck doesn't seem to be exactly supportive for anything other than decks that use FIRE monsters. Though my deck does have some interesting cards that aren't limited to my monsters." Kazu took a short breather and contemplated what Daylien had said about the islands dangers. "I must say Daylien, that I also thought that this expedition sounded odd. Why send duelists to an uninhabited and dangerous island to do a search on it? It seems rather suspicious if you ask me. But still," Kazu waved a hand carelessly, "we can't really unfold anything at the moment." Kazu yawned. "Anyway, it's been a pleasure speaking to you and I hope we get better acquainted during our little expedition. If you'll excuse me though, I haven't had much sleep so I'm going to try and get a few minutes of shut-eye before Weyland says what he has to say."

Jayson was running as fast as he could and eventually made it to the DME receptionists desk he leaned over and panted trying to catch his breath until he could speak to the receptionist behind the desk. "Hi my name is Jayson Prince and I'm here for the Duel Academy Expedition." Jayson waited for a reply while the receptionist checked the list of duelists. "Name please?" She asked Jayson who had already told his name. "Uh I already told you my name its Jayson Prince." Jayson seemed to have ticked off the receptionist because she stared at him angrily. "Don't you dare be a smartass with me boy, now name please I couldn't hear clearly because you were panting." Jayson paused for a brief second then clearly spoke "My name is Jayson Prince, and I am here for the Duel Academy Expedition." He waited for yet another reply this time a little more fearful after what just transpired. "Okay, you're on the list head on through the doors and turn left, then head on to the second door on your right." She stared back at the computer and checked of Jayson's name, Jayson looked back at her and had a sad look on his face "I'm sorry for disrespecting you like that truely I am." She looked back up at him but by the time she did Jayson already had walked past the doors.

 

Jayson reached the room with other students in there and already wanted to meet them so he shouted "Hey everyone what's up?" A few people looked at him others just ignored him Jayson now felt slightly awkward "Okay... This is slightly awkward." He whispered to himself and sat on a chair moving both his arms behind his head and began leaning backwards on the chair which he began moving forward and backwards as he sat.

Zodia calmly entered the new Academy building. Immediately catching his eye was another student who seemed to be rushing. He was not late. Not in the slightest. I am curious on why he rushed like that. Ignoring him, he walked up to the receptionist's desk.

"Good morning." he said. The lady behind the desk slowly looked up at him with a cold look.

"Name, please," she said dryly.

"My name is Zodia Sayuki. I am here to participate in the Duel Academy Expedition." The lady looked at her computer, and looked back.

"Third door on your right. Have a nice day." Zodia continued through the door.

"Hey! You!" Zodia looked back to see who it was.

"Hello! Me llamo Avelino Lozan Fierro. Yo acabo de llegar. ¿Y tú? Estoy seguro de que usted acaba de conseguir, también. Todo el mundo acaba de llegar. La escuela en realidad no ha siquiera abierto aún." (I'm Avelino Lozano Fierro. I just got here. What about you? I'm sure you just got here, too. Everybody just got here. The school hasn't really even opened yet.)

"Avelino? Shut up."

"Okay..."

"My name is Zodia Sayuki."

"Sentémonos juntos. ¡Creo que vamos a ser grandes amigos!" (Let's sit together. I think we'll be great friends.)

"You are lucky I can understand you. Me sentaré con ustedes, siempre y cuando usted me duelo después de esto." (I will sit with you, as long as you duel me after this.)

"Fine by me! Let's just hope that Weyland isn't long-winded!"
