"Hmm, Right! MAGAO!!!" Ino yelled. She then stabbed her blade into the ground and 8 blades came around the enemy in a circular stance, creating almost a prison of swords. "This will insure you stay where you are!" Ino angrily said.

 

The ball of Demise angrily rushed towards the unknown man and the prison proved no escape. Finally it struck him. Struck him hard and cold. He fell to the ground as Ino lowered the height of the blades, so when he did fall, he would become impaled as he hits the floor. "He did not seem so hard. How does someone so week take down such powerful captains?" Ino asked. "Damn, this is so unusual. I'll take this to the 6th division for research and go talk to Toshiro about this nonsense."

 

Ino grabbed the body and went off towards Toshiro's barracks. She met up with him while he was talking to Nemu. He told both of them about what had just happened and as to how Kurotsuchi Mayuri and Byakuya Kuchiki are dead. Nemu couldn't have cared less over her fathers death, which made Ino kind of dislike her. Ino then left knowing that there was someone else out there, or that the enemy the fought was not as easy as he showed himself to be. "SoiFon, here I come." Ino said as she headed off to lady SoiFon. She entered the second division barracks and saw SoiFon training the Omnitsikudo. She then went into her barracks quietly, waiting patiently for SoiFon to come in.

 

SoiFon did, and she sat down across the table from her, and they both started talking. Ino explained as to how she could be in danger so there will be an elite squad guarding her. SoiFon was upset by this, for she thought she could handle the fight by herself. Ino did agree to the phrase, but she guard unknowingly anyway, making sure none came near SoiFon.

After seeing the mysterious man got killed by the attacks, Midorame shunpo'd to the reiryoku ball's location and caught it with his sword. The reiryoku ball then faded away and Midorame's zanpakuto turned back into its sealed state. "..... That was rather too easy of a battle..... I'm having serious doubts about that man just now...." Midorame said to himself as he watched Ino ran off with the body. "Something's not right.... It's rather eerie in fact...." Midorame walked over to the site where the man died. "I can feel slight traces of reiryoku in the air.... But this reiryoku seems rather familiar..... It's not from Ino, and it's not from me.... The man just now.... Why does his reiryoku feel so.... familiar.... Like I've sensed it somewhere before...." Midorame said to himself as he pondered on about the slight traces of reiryoku in the air. "I need to talk to Toshiro...." Midorame said as he shunpo'd off.

Satoshi wondered where everyone went. "Huh...Getting kinda late now...Hmm, where's Takeshi? Better go find him...Probably annoying the hell out of someone..."

He didn't know where to look first, so he just went to Toshiro. He might know where he is. Then he'd find Shigai and make her some dinner...

On the way to Division 10 HQ, he saw Midorame. "Hey, Mido. Where'd you go earlier? What happened? Did I miss my own party?" He chuckled a bit, but then he noticed the grave expression on his face. "Uh, what's wrong, Midorame? Did something happen to someone else? Was it Shigai?"

 

Takeshi was puzzled. "Hmmm...Muramasa...That was Koga's Zanpakuto...Kuchikis are nothing but trouble...Are you sure nothing else could have done this? What about one of your father's devices, Nemu-sama? Or a forbidden Kido, like Space-Time Manipulation?"

As Takeshi pondered, he looked out the window and saw Midorame and Satoshi. "Ah, Captain Midorame, Satoshi-sempai! Maybe you can help us!"

 

"Ah, what luck...Wait, sempai? HOW COME HE'S CAPTAIN AND I'M SEMPAI?!?!"

Satoshi heard Takeshi laughing uncontrollably.

[Final Fantasy Revolution]

As Shigai was enjoying her meeting with Yun-Wai a hell butterfly flew through the window and landed on her right shoulder. Her face immediately went serious and sorrowful, and she stood up and bowed to Yun-Wai. "Please, excuse me for a moment." Shigai walked out of the building and closed her eyes and breathed in and out a deep breath to calm her sadness and anger. She walked to the Kuchki Family Manor and checked on things there first before going to examine the body. "This struggle of soul society's..." Shigai said, throwing the medical sheet over Byakuya Kucki's corpse. "Has now become persona, Kuchki Family matter..." Shigai said and then started for the door.

"Ahhh, Midorame, Satoshi, welcome to my office. It is getting a tad bit crowded here. Nemu, I've heard enough information from you, get me another report soon. Thank you. As for you 2, I needed to talk to you 2 big time. Byakuya and Mayuri are dead, but your probably already know that. The real problem here is that I suspect Shigai behind all of this. And with Byakuya dead, this only proves it far more. SoiFon is being guarded by Ino, so no need to worry about her. And even if Ino fails, SoiFon is the strongest captain at the moment. She can, hopefully, handle whoever is doing this. Sotashi, watch Shigai, but discreetly. That is your duty! As for you Midorame, you have a mission with Ino tomorrow. Don't forget it. SoiFon will be going on the mission, so Ino will be able to guard her over there as well. As for me, everyone has to die sometime. I'll try to draw the enemy near so that I can collect as much as data as possible on him. If I die, there will be a soul reader planted in my mind. Cut it open, and you will be able to see all that I have seen. Now don't fail me you 2."

 

Toshiro then took a seat and got ready for what was about to happen. Soul Society was on the peak of destruction, and it had to be stopped.

 

~Meanwhile~

 

Yun-Wai understood about Shigai leaving. She cleaned up around the table and got her stuff ready for the mission they were going on tomorrow. Her curious question was, why 4 captains. Why 4 captains for such an easy mission to the the real world. Something was not right here. She had a feeling something was going to go very wrong tomorrow.

 

~Meanwhile~

 

Night had fallen in the Sertei, and Ino was sitting in front of SoiFon's barracks, watching as a guard. The moon was full and white, shining a mystical glow on Ino's face. It was the Seretei after all, a full moon does not come so often here as it does in the real world. It came twice every 6 months. Ino looked up at the moon with a face full of thoughts and worries. Suddenly, a few clouds covered the moon. It went pitch dark for a total of 7 seconds. For these 7 seconds of pitch black, the her Riryoku and Reatsu scanner started fluctuating in abnormal amounts. Then the moonlight hit again, and the scanner calmed down. Ino found this very suspicious and decided to go check on SoiFon. She entered the barracks, and saw SoiFon sleeping. Her back was flat and her arms were at her side. It looked like such an uncomfortable sleeping position.

 

Ino's concentration on the sleeping position SoiFon was in almost covered the smell of blood in the room. She went up to SoiFon and took off the sheet that was covering her and what she saw drove her with rage. SoiFon was dead. With a stab on her stomach and blood around. Oddly though, it looked dry, as if the blood had dried over the wound already. Like she had been stabbed a while back, and was kept that way so the blood could dry. Once it did, the murderer put the blanket over her again. That must have been those seven seconds of pitch darkness... this is what had happened. But how so quick, how does blood dry that fast? These questions ran through Ino's head, but she could think about them later, right now, she just had to get this message out.

 

Ino stepped outside and covered herself with certain markings. She then proceeded to chant "Black and white net. Twenty-two bridges, sixty-six crowns and belts. Footprints, distant thunder, sharp peak, engulfing land, hidden in the night, sea of clouds, blue line. Form a circle and fly though the heavens. Tenteikūra! Dear all captains and Vice Captains, SoiFon is dead. I repeat, SoiFon is dead. She was murdered, the same way as the others, except this time, a sword was not left." Ino had thought that this portrayed enough information, then went back in to get SoiFon's body to analyze. Only to her dismay though, it had gone missing. "DAMN IT! What the hell is going on here!"

[Ｄｈａｒｃ]

"Agh, not her Ladyship...I swear, if I have to do anything else with her besides our dinner tonight, I swear I'll just tell everyone that I--What, Soifon, dead? Well, I can't say I didn't see it coming..." Satoshi coughed and fidgeted so no one would notice his scabbard shifting from the change in weight or his faint smile. Looks like some things are looking up. Ino doesn't even suspect...

"Alright, well, I suppose that I'll need to go on this mission now as well? After all, you, Nemu, Kusajishi, Raizen, and I are the only ones left, and I have no idea what Raizen's doing...Plus, you can't leave, not now. And Nemu is doing research...Hmm, this means that Division 9 completely depends on Utsuru now...Takeshi, as much as I hate to say it, you're acting Vice-Captain of Division 9. However, your main duty is to do my duty of keeping watch on Kuchiki, so leave the paper to Utsuru. Also, you have to do you own paperwork now. Good luck, Shiny-Boy. And Shiro-chan, I've been meaning to ask you...How's that bed-wetter doing?"

Takeshi smiled when he mentioned Momo's nickname to Toshiro. It was good to have a nice conversation with friends...And even better when you're Satoshi Hinotake...

 

"Oh, yes, of course Captain Hinotake. I'll do my best. But, are you sure you should be going? I mean, you're not a big fan of the others...Well, Captain Midorame doesn't seem to be on bad terms with you...Still, I'll do my best. But, like you were saying, you might as well tel everyone you...?" Takeshi was curious. Satoshi seemed more talkative today than normal. Something seemed off about the way he smiled...

"But Captain Hitsuguy-" Midorame was interrupted when he heard Toshiro's last statement. Without another word, Midorame exited and shunpo'd back to his barracks. Along the way, a series of thoughts flashed through Midorame's mind. "(Who's going to die next? What will happen when all of the old captains die? How will we stop this?)" Midorame thought to himself grimly. During that night, after the announcements were made, Midorame stood up and walked outside. Midorame starred up at the moon. "How?.... How could all of this happened?...." Midorame completely loss himself for a second there. It appeared as if he would break any minute, but luckily, Midorame regained his composture and fell to the ground. Suddenly, Midorame's eyes opened widely, and then, he became unconscious.....

Toshiro noticed the shifting swords. he also noted Satoshi's Zanpaktou. He was there for his captain examination, he knew what that zanpaktou could do. "Sotashi... Before you leave here, I have a question. On the night of Momo's death, where were you exactly? I need to know for a captain filing report to get everything organized. Momo's case is still going, even after 3 years. I won't drop till I find and personally kill the murder. So yea, where were you?"

 

Toshiro knew he had to find her murderer. Somehow he knew that the current murderer and the new one were not connected somehow. These were 2 different cases. Mainly due to the fact of the way Momo was killed and the timing of the whole thing. Those things did not match up. But this was only his estimation.

[Ｄｈａｒｃ]

"Huh? When she died...Umm, that's a good question...Oh, right, I was sparring with Takeshi. He can vouch for me. Right?" He activated his zanpakuto silently through their powerful bond, placing the tip in Takeshi's back. He would vouch. Or else everything was going to get bloody.

 

Takeshi felt the point in his back. "Yeh, he was with me. He was trying to help me achieve Bankai at the time." Takeshi was worried. He didn't know what was gonig to happen next, but it was going to be huge.

"The reatsu pressure just changed in here. Something got heavier. A lot heavier... Takeshi... Stand up and walk this way... slowly." captain Toshiro ordered. "My question is, why would you activate your zanpaktou right now Takeshi? You seem like you know something. And you activated it so you could make a quick escape... What are you hiding?" Toshiro asked as he unsheathed his Hyorinmaru. Toshiro knew who's zanpaktou was active. He was just trying to get Satoshi more relaxed.

 

Right then and there, Toshiro uttered the word "freeze" and everything was encased in ice.

 

"Something you wan't to tell me Satoshi?" Toshiro asked.

[Ｄｈａｒｃ]

"Why yes, there is...Seek, Kagehashi!" He drew his sword, with only a faint image of it where the blade should be. Then, the position of the actual blade became known. Suddenly, there was a blade pinning Toshiro's sword arm to his side. Satoshi began to walk over "Now, I must also tell you one more thing..." He reached where Toshiro was standing. "Hado, number eleven! Tsuzuri Raiden!" Electricity began flowing through the blade, reaching Hitsugaya's body within a fraction of a second.

"Now, join your friends, Momo and Rangiku...Join them..."

Black, swirling energy appeared around his face as he grinned madly.

 

Takeshi was frozen to the wall, his Zanpakuto in hand, but not drawn.

Damn, if only I could get out here, I could teach him a lesson...

"GAAAAhhhh!" Toshiro screamed. He than luaghed and said "Sorry, i couldn't help myself. I had to. Seriously, simple stuff like that? What are you, a third seat?"

 

Toshiro then let the ice around him melt, leaving a puddle of water in his office. He flash stepped forward, bringing his sword in proper stance, allowing him to strike a pierce into Satoshi. The water around then started waving and whirling, as he was lunging forwards towards Satoshi, his water created an afterimage, so if satoshi managed to block or dodge, hi could turn up a second chance for a strike.

[Ｄｈａｒｃ]

"Heh, does that make you an academy student? Now, Bakudo, number 12, Fushibi!" An orange Kido net trapped Hitsugaya and the afterimage instantly, holding them in place. "Now...Tell me, what do you hope to accomplish by killing me? Avenge Momo's death? Please! I'd think the Boy Genius of Division 10 would be smarter than that..."

Satoshi walked over to the water-formed Hitsugaya and switched his Shikai. "You know, Shiro-chan, I never did show you my second Shikai...Now, Rend Sinews, Kagehashi!" Suddenly the blade reappeared in its original position. Then, he rammed the blade through the clone, causing it to dissipate completely.

"Alright, now...Hado, number 89, Hiryugekizokushintenraiho!" A giant electric blast of spiritual energy shot from his hand toward Toshiro, blasting a trail through the floor.

 

Takeshi saw the Destructive spell from behind, and it was still just as impressive. But, more importantly, it gave him an opportunity. He used Tsuzuri Raiden, channeling it through his own body, destroying the ice he was trapped within. Still, the Kido was loud enough to prevent him from being heard. He weent up be hind Satoshi and raised his blade, but then he saw the black energy swirling around Satoshi's face. It was slowly forming intowhat appeared to be a Hollow mask.

What...What if...What if I'm too late? I can feel his spiritual pressure forcing me down, getting stronger by the second...Now's my only chance...Takeshi raised Anrakkiniji up and held it against Satoshi's back, but couldn't build up enough strength to activate it at the moment. He was running out of time...

[六兆年と一夜物語]

"Tsk, tsk, a bit impatient, are we?" Utsuro appeared right beside the battle, feeling fresh and renewed after resting. His sword blocked the impact of the Demon Art, showing little to no effect on him or the sword. "You're the traitor, right? Let's see what happens next, since I have something interesting. The eye holes of his mask started to darken until it shown no sign of eyes. "Open, Fuuinkado!" The Jade Gate doors open, but instead of the usual black spirits, white ones came instead. When it fused with the sword, it shifted into a claymore. Though the sword is heavy, he shown no sign of exhaust and held it with one hand. He then moved with such speed that all that was left were a few images. He appeared behind Satoshi. He then laughed in a wild nature, with a sound no Shinigami should ever make. He attacked Satoshi.

[Ｄｈａｒｃ]

Satoshi may not have noticed Takeshi, but he did notice Utsuru. He grinned when he first saw the Hollow mask on his face, finally fitting perfectly. Then he brought down Kagehashi, attempting to bifurcate Utsuru vertically with his Zanpakuto. He was still semi-focusing on Toshiro, maintaining the Kido net at all times. He felt something forming on his face, but he couldn't tell what it was because it was being pieced together, much like a jigsaw puzzle. Hate jigsaw puzzles...

"Grrr...Limit of the thousands hands, respectful hands, unable to touch the darkness. Shooting hands unable to reflect the blue sky. The road that basks in light, the wind that ignited the embers, time that gathers when both are together, there is no need to be hesitant, obey my orders. Light bullets, eight bodies, nine items, book of heaven, diseased treasure, great wheel, grey fortress tower. Aim far away, scatter brightly and cleanly when fired...Hado, number Ninety-One, Seju Kouten Taihou!" Multiple spears of light appeared and fired toward his Vice-Captain at full speed, aching to pierce right through him.

Takeshi had to readjust himself so he wasn't seen by Satoshi when he turned. That...That's his Vice-Captain, Utsuru! Why is he attacking him? And that noise...It sounded like a Hollow! Wait, what is that...!!!

Takeshi was flabbergasted. There was no way that both of the senior officers of Division 9 were Hollowfying...No way...

The lightning Kido was heading Toshiro's way and he had to think quick. He used the water of his aftermaths, pulling it and raising it up, towards the lightning. water is a great conductor for lightning, so he used it to guide the kido in to different directions, making sure it weakened and did not hit anybody. The kido spell that had binded him had been getting on his nerves though. He pulled out a small little stem, it almost looked leaf with a few roots attached to it. He dropped it to the ground, and the Kido binding him dissipated. He then flash stepped a good 3 meters away from Satoshi.

 

"I have no intentions of killing you to avenge Momo. I'm here to put an end into homicidal and unstable maniacs like you Satoshi." Toshiro had noticed Utsuru's and how his mask fit almost utmost perfectly.

 

The stem that Toshiro let hit the ground started growing. It kept growing and growing until it became a full grown giants nest tree. "This tree absorbs Kido. It grows every single time someone tries to use it." Toshiro than pulled back his captains Hiori to uncover another zanpaktou lying there. It was Hinamori's. "Tobiume's pissed at you. And She's the one who told me to kill you. Kill you for killing her master. I'm here to follow her orders, not avenge Momo." Toshiro's eyes than crossed in anger. Before charging though, he let the water in the surrounding area freeze the tree. It was frozen solid, turning to a beautiful turquoise color, almost glistening in the moonlight. He then jumped upon it, and the ice on the tree liquefied and condensed into hundreds of showering needles. These needles charged straight for Sotashi.

[Ｄｈａｒｃ]

"Shine brightly, Anrakkiniji!" Takeshi's blade returned to full condition and he swung, creating a large, rainbow-colored arc, resembling Getsuga Tenshou. The arc traveled forward and annihilated the ice needles before smashing into the wall, cutting through it before dissipating. The roof of Division 10 HQ began to collapse.

"I'm sorry Toshiro, but I can't let you kill him...Even if Tobiume said so...Momo's death couldn't be avoided...The truth is...I made him do it...I used a Kido to communicate to him through his mind, saying that since he keeps killing Hollows from afar with his Zanapakuto, people would think he was killing people and he was the murderer, so I told him to kill Momo, and when he couldn't...I broke off a piece of Utsuru's mask in his sleep and placed it in his haori...It was to make him feel less guilty about killing his best friend's loved one...And now you can see the mask forming, except it's completely different from Utsuru's, so I'm guessing I shattered the barrier...Still, I created this monster and I'm going to get rid of it...But, to do it...I need you to back off, and destroy Tobiume...I think you know why..."

He wanted Tobiume destroyed because she was the unstable one. She wasn't just going to let Takeshi get rid of Satoshi. She was going to try, and if she couldn't, she'd kill Takeshi, or whoever kills him...

Toshiro stepped back. He knew that this fight belonged to Tekashi more than it did to him. "If you don't kill him, I'll massacre him." Toshiro said. He left Tobiume on the floor, knowing that he could not break the zanpaktou, leaving it to the battle field to do so. Toshiro then backed off and decided to watch the fight from a distance.

 

~Meanwhile~

 

Ino was rushing to the squad 6 barracks to tell shigai to analyze the death of SoiFon. On her way there, she saw Midorame on the floor unconscious. Damn.... his health is just like Ukitake's. He needs medical attention stat. She picked him up and decided to drop him off at the squad 4 healing center before talking to Shigai and that is what she did. "This night gets crazier and crazier as time flies. She could here the tension of reatsu, zanpaktou's clashing, but she knew she did not have time to see what was going on. She found Shigai and started to talk to her.

 

"Shigai! SoiFon, you can cross her off the list. She's gone as well. Whoever is playing this game with us is a master. Killing SoiFon is one of the hardest things to do, her speed and strength are quite unmatched, not to mention her deadly zanpaktou. And she is an omnitsikudo, so striking when she's asleep is no way to kill her. She would have heard it, and would have awoken. Do you have any idea as to what is going on here?" Ino asked Shigai. "We need to know, or else the very foundation of the Soul Society will be broken!"

Midorame awoke in what appeared to a field of flowers. "Ugh.... Where- Where am I?...." Midorame stood up from the ground and looked around him. "Flowers?.... What's happening?.... Since when did- Ugh....." Midorme was interrupted by a sudden pain in his head. Midorame fell to his knees and grabbed his head with his left hand. "Ugh.... What- What is this.... Pain?...." Midorame uttered as he fell to the ground and grabbed his head with his right hand as well. The flowers on the ground began to curve and hooked into his clothing. Up above in the sky, the sun faded and it became dark with a crescent moon. "How pitiful.... You want to protect others, but all you do is mope around.... How are you able to even wield a zanpakuto in your condition...." a feminine voice echoed through the field. "Humph.... Face it Midorame.... All you are.... is an empty shell....." a masculine voice followed. Midorame suddenly awoke to find himself in the division four barracks in the treatment room. "{Panting} What? Was that a dream?...." Midorame asked himself as he looked at his left palm.

"Ha, so you're the bastard that did it." His voice changed heavily after his inhuman laugh. He prevented himself from being split by blocking it with his claymore. He flash stepped towards Takeshi and destroyed the remaining ice. "You got what you wanted, now you'll pay the price." He rushed and attacked Takeshi's leg closest to him. "Good luck bastard." He then flashed stepped out and returned to the barracks. He calmed himself and dropped down to contact his inner world. When he entered, he felt his mask has gone. Finding a reflection, he finally saw his face for the first time in years. Despite not seeing light for a long time, it looked fine. He had forgotten that he had black eyes with a somewhat feminine face. Looking up, he saw the inner world entirely white. In the distance, he saw a bunch of white souls gather to form the Hollow he faced last time, only this time he was complete. "What's going on?" "Don't you see? I'm already part of you. You can gain unimaginable power either by thinking it or wanting it. I can also summon myself when you're in trouble. If I still wanted to take over your body, then I wouldn't be made out of souls." "Where's Fuuinkado?" "Regaining his sanity." He dismissed it and returned to reality. However, what he didn't realize was that the mask was finally removed, showing his face.

[Final Fantasy Revolution]

Shigai was lost in thought for a moment about Byakuya's death and almost didn't hear Ino as she approached and started speaking to her. "Hm? Oh yes, the killer must be most elusive to have gotten the jump on SoiFoin, and to have killed her with that same elusiveness." Shigai wasn't concentrating during her first speech so it didn't make total sense but she trusted Ino got the gist of what she meant. "I'm becoming to doubt the humanity of our culprit, that is to say that I don't think the murder is anything we've ever seen before. To be that elusive and powerful enough to kill so many of our top soldier...it can't be anything we've encountered before." Shigai said and then closed her eyes and took another deep breath. "I'll examine the body and see what I can come up with. You should start working on finding out who's next and then report back to me." Shigai said, giving Ino a direct order. She then took up the body and brought it into her barracks for examination.

[Ｄｈａｒｃ]

Takeshi jumped when Utsuru struck, dodging his attack. "Humph...Well, Satoshi, it's you and me now."

Satoshi turned to Takeshi, the mask now fully formed. It resembled a cross between a human and a reptile. Both were vicious. "So," Satoshi said, in a slightly warped, reverberating voice. "You finally came out and admitted it. Now, you want to kill me for your mistakes? Haha! How childish!" At the last moment, Satoshi redirected his previous Kido at Takeshi, resulting in an enormous explosion. Then, to make sure the kido wan't absorbed, he sliced the tree in half, killing it. He looked back and was surprised to see Takeshi unscathed, a circular rainbow-barrier in front of him.

"You forget, Satoshi, I have a Kido-type Zanpakuto."

Satoshi was furious. "Argh! Fine, I'll have to attack directly. Prepare to die!" Satoshi shunpoed to Takeshi and cut through the barrier, the spirit particles it was composed of going into an alternate dimension. He then raised his head and opened his mouth. There, a green circle began to form.

A cero! I have one shot at this...

"Hado, number one, Sho (Thrust)!" A weak Kido pushed Satoshi back, canceling the cero. "Now, let's end this!" Takeshi held out Anrakkiniji and a beam fired from the end of the katana. The beam raced at Satoshi at an incredible speed.

"Ha, you think that will--!" Falling rubble struck him in the leg, stunning him.

The beam reached Satoshi and pierced straight through, blasting a hole through his heart ((OOC: Ooh, whatcha' say...)). The Hollow mask shattered, and Satoshi's face could be seen. His eyes were wide open, skin paler than normal. He collapsed to the ground, blood quickly pooling around him.

"I-I did it...I killed him...I finally ended what I started..."

"I...I'm...I'm not dead yet..." Satoshi said, coughing up blood. "I...I need you...To give my haori..." He coughed up more blood, removing his blood-stained, tattered haori. "...My zanpakuto..." His Zanpakuto lay on the ground in numerous pieces. "...And my Sokyoku shard..." He pulled out a shard of metal from his hakama, placing it on the ground in front of him. "...To Shigai...And tell her...I-I-I {Coughs up more blood} love her...And that...I'm sorry I couldn't make it...To lunch..." Blood streamed out from both corners of his mouth.

"Yes, of course, Captain Hinotake..." Suddenly, Takeshi felt guilty. He killed him before he could tell Shigai he loved her. "Well, I could use a Kido just to keep you alive long enough for you to tell her..."

"...No...Oh, one more thing...Get...Closer..." Satoshi said. Takeshi leaned down. Satoshi whispered in his ear, and Takeshi nodded, and pulled away. Satoshi smiled, and he said his last words: "My only regret...Is that I...Have nothing left to say..." Then, he was gone.

Ino agreed and left the barracks. She then headed towards the squad 4 barracks to see how Midorame was doing. She entered and tried to find the room he was placed in. Alas, she did and he was awake too.

 

"How are you holding up? It seems your illness got the best of you. Before I came here though, I made a cup of tea." She goes over to the counter and takes the tea pot she brought with her. She poured some in cup and gave it to Midorame to drink.

 

"There's 4 cups worth in here. Feel free to drink up okay?" She then takes a seat on the floor in front of Midorame, patiently waiting for him to reply to her question.

Takeshi decided it was time for everyone to exit this building before it kills them. Come on, Toshiro. Before the roof crushes us..." He took the time to pick up Satoshi's body and move it outside. He watched the roof of Division 10 HQ collapse, crushing the ice and everything else left within.

"Why?...." Midorame quietly said to himself as he placed his hand over his face. Midorame then set his hand down and noticed Ino coming in. "Ino...." Midorame quietly uttered. Midorame took the cup of tea. He was about to take a drink but then hesistated and set it down on a small desk next to him. "So my illness took over again huh?....." Midorame gave a slight chuckle hinted with disbelief. "Ino.... Why treat someone like me so nicely?.... I'm hopeless.... If you're ever in trouble I probably couldn't do anything to help you.... Nobody..... I can't help anybody.... How did someone like me become a captain?..... Why!" Midorame had a small outburst as he punched the wall. "Ugh.... Sorry...." Midorame said as he turned to face the wall.
