My likings have varied vastly in the past year, rock/metal barely my main likings anymore.

 

I no longer have no favorite bands, but my last favorites were:

Slayer, Tsjuder, Digitalis Purpurea, and Marilyn Manson.

Music from RPGs usually catches my interest. I liked a lot of songs from the pokemon games and Yu-Gi-Oh: The Falsebound Kingdom. How is it that music from RPGs is usually so epic. lol

I hate rap, and some of todays rock. People just don't understand what rock is anymore. When was the last time a rock cd went double platinum these days? In the old days, that happened way more. And rap just sucks. Sorry, but that is the only way that I know how to say it. So, I love just about anything except rap. Wait, that's not true. I saw a rapping granny once. She was "hip". But she wasn't so bad, although between the rap, and the fact that she was older, I couldn't understand half of the words she said. Still, it was nice, it was, different.

 

Non-scream Metal, Rock(all kinds), and jazz. I hate the kind of metal that just screams random gibberish into the mic.

I know what you mean. I once listened to a heavy metal song, and when I heard it, it sounded like he was yelling something about mashed potatoes. When I looked up the lyrics, it was actually a song about school assemblies. People just don't get music these days.

Alternative rock mostly, then Heavy metal (and other kinds of metal, I don't know where the borders are tbh), post-hardcore and post-punk. Gogol Bordello, Raconteurs and Villagers also get a mention. (can someone tell me what villagers are?? They're like a creepy Noah and the Whale...)

 

Black Metal, Death Metal, Folk Metal. Pretty much every sub-genre of those you could think of too.

 

 

Jazz Metal??

As far as my tastes go:

 

Hip-hop / Rap

R&B

Alternative Rock

Classical

 

I'm not a big fan of metal, but I've found a handful of songs that I can understand AND relate to.

I like just about every genre of metal that isn't crunkcore. Or Avant-garde, tbh.

I also like just about anything from NG Audio Portal, industrial, industrial dance, hardcore dance, industrial rock, drum & bass, soundtrack music, DECENT pop (that's, liek, less than 5% of pop today), and also a selective amount of rap (mainly stuff from Psychopathic).

 

Dun be hatin' on rap, fools. o.o

I like Jazz. (Like Jason Mraz)

I like country. (Like Taylor Swift)

I like Classical. (Beethoven FTW!)

I like aucustic. (Just aucustic guitars, no singing)

I like Nature Sounds. (Like streams and drums and wind)

 

I like relaxing music most of the time. But then I also like louder music too, sometimes, like when I'm in a bad mood. :D

Favorite: Christian Rock.

Others: Rock, Pop, Contemp. Christian, some rap, some hip hop.

Don't let anyone flame you because it's your opinion and everyone here goes mad about metal and will unleash their REAG to people liking rock, pop etc.
