Sploda
@DLIt's not epic. An Epic Duel is a win without Asspulls.
DL
It's still epic to me :3 Because while I DID get very lucky, it STILL involved a lot of skill.

DL
It is true, Creator. Because in dueling, luck only gets you so far, but if you're not skilled, luck will serve no purpose.

DL
Aww, sucks D: I know how that feels, happened to me too (I lost my Dark deck, which had a lotta rare cards, and my spellcaster deck )': )
Spirit of DMG
Only card I ever managed to lose was my Insect Queen... I won a few duels with that card...But, anyway...Luck and skill work in tandem, Creator. If you're not skilled, then luck serves no purpose. But, if you're not lucky enough to draw the right card at the right time, then it doesn't really matter how skilled you are, does it? DL
True But you can win on pure skill, but not pure luck :

Blake
Like my duel with DL ^^ I got SUPR lucky to get Ain Soph aur out that quickly ._. Also, luck is a big factor. I can make decks, use them, and fail, then hand them to Aneki, and he just obliterates with them ._.

Sploda
Master Roshi, who was the strongest man in the world at one point, said that.During DragonBall. Your going to quote an Anime? Fusion X. Denver
Your going to quote an Anime? I'm quoting real successful people here. Which has more Real Life application? Either. It depends on your perspective. Some people believe in luck, others don't.Some believe one's luck is a skill/strength, others don't.I'm not disagreeing with you, just pointing out that it's not black and white.Unless you see it that way in your perspective.Which basically means I see it as a gray area. DL
AKA, we each have our own opinions about luck and skill. And yes, anime HAS real life applications ._. Well...the sappy speeches and dramatic lines do, usually.

Fusion X. Denver
I agree.Tien was prepared to win against Goku, therefore he did.I agree with you DL, some of anime's speech stuff is applicable.Or maybe I should say, it SHOULD be applicable.Sometimes I feel mangakas use their characters to send a message to its audience about the proper attitude to take when facing life's challenges.I respect that.I'm gonna do that too, so that must mean it's an established formula. Sploda
@FusionAny sappy speech about something besides world control via my hands by Creator in DEF gets you a one-way ticket to a knuckle sandwich.
Fusion X. Denver
I know you and Creator very well bro, I won't do anything outside the norm. And I just finished reading Draco's return in General. Very interesting read considering I never knew of the whole drama. Now I must sleep v__vDefinitely going to make a one-shot over that drama. That and this one other idea I have in mind are the main 2 I want to write as soon as DEF ends.
