Reina saw a light and followed it. She could hear voices and knew who's they were. She opened her eyes and looked around. The doctor was almost done. It still hurt but she didn't care. She looked at Ghost who had her hand. "What happened?" Reina asked. She looked around trying to ajust to the light. She realized she hadn't moved. She was still in the same room as before. Reina wasn't as pale as before.

"Better..." She told him. Reina didn't mind him holding her hand. She really didn't want him to leave. It was nice having someone else from Desria with them. She smiled at him. "Don't worry about me okay? I will be fine. I have survived through alot. I can survive through this." She kept smiling. She layed back and stared at the ceiling. She kept smiling for some reason. She didn't know why though. She just was.

Riohs smiled as he saw Reina was okay. "Hehe, glad you're okay Reina. My heart stopped for a minute there. Hopefully I don't get that kind of fright again." Riohs said. Riohs then looked at Ghost. "Ghost.... You don't have to leave. No matter what happens, you'll have us sticking by your side. Your brother won't stand a chance trust me. You can't just fight alone, we all need a little help sometimes. We can fight together. We'll win. Afterall, like I said right, the good guys don't die, hehe." Riohs said with a confident smile. "And you don't need to thank me for my kindness. You've already repaid it with your own kindness, but if you leave, you're kinda like taking that away aren't you? So stay, you've got friends here." Riohs said hoping to convince him.

"So how's Reina Doc?" Riohs asked. "She'll be fine, the extraction was a success. It's quite fortunate that you found me when you did, a few more minutes later and it maight have been even more difficult. She'll need to rest though for ahile, but she'll be fine in no time." the doctor replied. "That's good to hear." Riohs responded as he stretched his arms.

Ghost took a deep, heavy, long sight.

"Riohs... the good guys do die.

The good guy in my brother died a long time ago.

Now it's my job to kill the bad one," he said, "Should our paths cross again, I'll have killed my brother already."

Ghost turned and his hand slowly left Reina's.

He paused for a moment, then took his first step out the door.

"Wait Ghost!" Riohs said as he turned around looking at Ghost. "We don't want you to leave.... I'm no exception.... I say the more the marrier.... but I also know sometimes it may be for the best. Sometimes there are just some things you have to do on your own. I may be the kind who seeks to be with others, but when sometimes there are also things I have to take care of by myself to prove something. I don't want you to leave, but I understand the reason for it. If you have to, take care of what's needed then come back to find us. Afterall, I'm always right here." Riohs said with a confident smile while holding his fist up. "Well.... Metaphorically speaking of course, through this." Riohs said as he reached into his pocket and took out a charm and then threw it over to Ghost. "It's a charm that represents our trust in you Ghost. You better not die alright, cause I want it back later." Riohs said with a smile.

Ghost sighed once more.

"Riohs... thank you...

Remember when I told you that Ghost wasn't me real name?

That's because my real name is Sraul."

Ghost shuddered at the mention of his real name... he hadn't seen called that since he ran away...

Ghost turned once more, "I still prefer Ghost."

He steeped outside of the room and started to make his way down the hall.

"Sraul huh?...." Riohs uttered with a smile on his face as he watched Ghost walked off. ".... Not a bad name at all.... But maybe I also prefer Ghost...." Riohs said as he turned back to face the others. "Ghost is off to settle his past for good.... After which, he'll come back to see us. For now, let's live in the here and now and look towards the future." Riohs said. "So, do we have a mission from the king, or are we free for a little while?" Riohs asked Selene.

As Ghost found his way to the streets, he noticed a cloaked figure down the street.

"Sir, Sir!" he yelled.

The figure turned to reveal Kraive.

Kraive unsheathed his sword.

"Well, well, little brother," Kraive said, smiling, "looks like you have some friends. Obviously the first."

Ghost suddenly felt angry. He wanted nothing more then to take Kraive by the throat and kill him, but he resisted.

Ghost left his weapon sheathed.

"Kraive, go ahead, kill me. See what it will do for you," Ghost said, sitting down.

Selene watched him go and sighed heavily. "I guess its for the best..." she muttered, turning back to Reina. Kraive had been a welcome diversion for the serious task they had ahead of them...she would love to get her hands on him.

She knew that Ghost...or, Sraul...would want himself to be the one that finished him off, but still.

~~

((you know if Sraul is killed then there'll be no point for Kraive to go to the Avith meeting?))

((Who ever said he'd die? ; D))

Kraive approached Ghost.

"What trick have you this time, little brother?" Kraive said suspiciously.

"Nothing," Ghost said, taking out the key.

Kraive shuddered and took a step back.

Ghost stood up and slowly backed away. Kraive chased him.

As Ghost got back inside of the infirmary, he drew his sword.

Kraive swung, and the sound of two swords clashing echoed through the entire building.

Selene literally JUMPED about two feet out of her chair. "What the--?!" she ran outside into the hallway, her sword drawn, and saw Kraive and Ghost.

"Jeezus. He's back? See, what did I tell you?" she asked sarcastically, leaning against the wall. "Okay, tell me when he's dead..." she was slightly worried inside, though, so she reisgned herself to just watching.

Ghost clenched the handle of his sword as tightly as physically possible. You could see the veins popping out of his wrists.

Ghost charged at Kraive letting out a deep yell as he struck.

Kraive fell to the ground, a small gash left in his chest. Kraive stood up and slowly backed away, afraid for his life.

Ghost was prepared to chase him, but slowly calmed down.

Ghost screamed with rage, "I DIDN'T KILL HIM!!!"

Ghost threw his sword against the wall as powerfully as possible. It hit the ground with a loud bang. Ghost dropped to his knees, tears dripping from his eyes.

Selene glared the stormiest glare she could at Kraive.

"Get the h3ll out of here, and be glad he DIDN'T kill you." she growled.

She walked over to Ghost and put a hand on his shoulder. "are you sad about that? Or glad?" she said quietly. She really, really sucked at interacting with people, so she wondered if she was asking the right questions.

"I screwed up again!" Ghost yelled at her. He had no control over his emotions. It was like there was a demon inside of him, trying to get out, "Every time I have an opportunity to beat him, I lose!"

Ghost stood up.

"I knew it was a bad idea to tag along with you all! I should have just stayed in hiding!"

Ghost sat down once more, unaware of what to do.

"Of course not!" she practically screamed. "Killing your brother would lower you to his position? Yes, yes, our jobs are killing, but he's not even getting PAID! He's coming at you at his own free will, your'e his brother for crying out loud! And he wants you dead! If you kill him then you'll just sink even lower to his level of killing!"

She lowered her voice. "d'you honestly want that?"

A thought now occurred to Ketodama as he remembered something he had been told. The other Wetboys had been told to report to the king of Sythgren upon their arrival in the city. He changed his course and began making his way towards the palace with all speed possible. It wasn't that he felt any sense of urgency, he just plain wanted to get this out of the way so he could go back to being left alone. He was in no real mood to make friends with anyone as he leapt from rooftop to rooftop. For some reason he drew his bow from his quiver, getting the feeling that he would need it as he strung it while on the run. He reached into his quiver and knocked an arrow with a simply bladed tip onto the string. He was going to be entering the palace with his weapon out, but it was worth the risk if he really was going to need it.

Reina sat there with her head lowered. Ghost had left and now something was going on. Reina's tears started to fall again. She thought she had found a friend and he left just like that. "I should of just died...." Reina said to herself. She felt so lost inside. What was she suppose to do? Part of her wanted to go home. Thats what she was going to do. Reina was going to go home. She wasn't needed. She wasn't wanted. Reina felt like she wasn't wanted anywhere.

Selene decided to go back and visit REina while she could. "Yeah, how're you doing?" she echoed Ghost's question, at a loss for what to say.

She was still confused about how you repay a debt of one's life. Other than saving the other person back, what can you possibly do?

She remained quiet, and cursed herself for her social inabilities.

The man walked down the street, turned into the room, and said "I need to see Morduus."

The maid nodded and scampered away, leading the man deep into the labyrinth of servant passageways.

She looked at them. Reina thought he had left. She must of thought wrong and scolded herself in her mind for assuming. "Better." She told them. "Don't worry about me. I've gone through much more pain than this." Reina faked a smile. She hoped no one saw through her like Riohs did. Some how he always managed to tell if she had a real smile on or not. She had apologized to him earlier and now she was in her room resting. The doctor gone and she was glad he was. Her body still ached from him taking the poison out. She could of taken the poison inside her but something went wrong and she didn't know why. Why had the poison not start to break down within her like she was told? What had gone wrong? What caused it? Reina wanted to know. She needed to know in case it happened again.
