Nidhogg works like slifer who's sub type is dragon, the name comes from a Norse dragon.

at least that's how it is in the games.

when a single card cant be targeted by card effectes is on the field with a card or cards that can and your opponent uses cards that target more than just one moster all your monster (Including the one that can't be targeted) are affected. I know this because i made the same mistake in the video game and got my obelisk destroyed by the effect of mirror force even though it couldn't be targeted by spell cards, trap cards, or monster effects.

I realized that My bad, I didn't realize it was a field spell.

and in the games Slifer counts as a dragon and the same thing is with mine so he's still attacking.

Mirror force does not target. Cards that affect an unspecified number (i.e. Lightning Vortex, Heavy Storm, etc) do not target. The Official Rulebook states:

 

"Effects that require you to select 1 or more specific cards when activated 'target' the selected cards. Players can then decide if they want to respond once they know the target of the effect. A card that affects all cards or all of one kind of card does not target. An effect that requires players to make a selection when the effect is resolving also does not target."
