Lexadin
Well the start of the plot does look simulair with season 1's plot. Only... Erm lesser.Either way the main character, Yuma, is not very likable.

Max Darkness
I am glad that this club is still going (albeit slowly dying while it does). I should explain that I've been away since I've got a full-time job which is quite physical, so usually return home exhausted with little interest in anything except lying down. However, with my work-load set to decrease in the near future, I should be able to get back onto here. In other news, I've been trying a "Horus" Deck in WC10 (for fanfiction possibilities), and found out two things. 1) The "Horus Decree" lock deck is quite fun to play, although a little slow and unreliable (you can get a hand full of "Horus LV6s" and "LV8s"). 2) There are about four Deck-types your opponents have: "Umi", "Mausoleum", Dragon and Zombie. You'd think that with about 100 archetypes and another 100 non-archetype deck-types, you'd have enough for a game's worth of opponents. I've also encountered "Flamvell Guard" and "Charcoal Inpachi" more times than you'd think you would, and due to my deck using "Molten Destruction" to power up "Horus LV4", have ploughed through them most times. @ All: I've developed a theory on the recent releases. After watching a first-turn "Wind-Up" loop, I came to the conclusion that the modern cards suffer from a lack of play-testing, and as such, have become broken. No-one at Konami tried to find their potential. And Konami believes the only way to allow the older archetypes to catch up is to break them as well, not reign in the newer sets. (Hence the new 'Structure Deck') @ Lex: I tried watching Zexal again, but stopped after the monsters and duelists became really rather awful. I've just looked at "Number 9: Dyson Sphere", and realised what Konami's doing. For those of you not in the know, it's a 3200 ATK Rank 9 that can negate a battle by detaching one of its materials, and if it has no materials, can attach two monsters from your Graveyard to it as materials. Now, that's all well and good...until "Offerings to the Doomed" is activated. Or any of the other destructive/banishing effects. "Number 9" has no defense against such things. It's the same with "Number C32": It's effect is all based on ATK manipulation. Nothing destructive. By the end of TDGS, we had "Red Dragon Archfiend" as our effect-based destroyer, and "Thought Ruler Archfiend" as a monster that can defend against targeting effects. But we've had nothing so far from the Xyzs. It's very basic effect design is what it is.
Lexadin
Welcome back Max! It's been a while since I've played WC10, so I have to believe you on your word on that one. But yes, Horus Decree is quite fun to use. That's probebly the case, unfortunatly. True, their decks do seem kinda basic. Unfortunatly. Which once again makes me think they should try to hire someone from this site, as most of uss know what we're doing. However, the plot is somewhat darkening. Max Darkness
Welcome back Max! Yes, it's been a while, but I should be able to actually contribute to this club now.  It's been a while since I've played WC10, so I have to believe you on your word on that one. But yes, Horus Decree is quite fun to use. One of the more common first moves is: Activate "Foolish Burial": Send "Plaguespreader". Special Summon "Plaguespreader". Normal Summon any Level 4. Synchro Summon "Brionac". Activate effect. (Either that or: Activate "Future Fusion", sending 3 "White Stone of Legend" cards. Use their effects to get 3 "Blue-Eyes". Activate "Dragon's Mirror" to Fusion Summon "F.G.D.")  True, their decks do seem kinda basic. Unfortunatly. Which once again makes me think they should try to hire someone from this site, as most of uss know what we're doing. However, the plot is somewhat darkening. The problem is that a good plot can be ruined by bad characters and bad writing. I mean, "Number 88: Gimmick Puppet Destiny Leo" is the crown of that. An instant win Xyz that is nothing like any of the previous Instant Win cards (even the Match Winning Xyzs); and is so easy to activate. (Send it to the Graveyard and revive with "Monster Reborn" = No Materials and Instant Win)
Northern Sage
Destiny Leo needs to have it's effect weakened severely. If Konami doesn't, I will lose the little faith I have in them.Oh, and on the topic of deck simplicity in the video games, it's hard to beat The Sacred Cards. Every other move done by most NPCs will consist of them setting a weak vanilla monster.

If Konami doesn't, I will lose the little faith I have in them. Agreed. But given the state of the upcoming Xyzs, it's hard not to loose that faith anyway... Oh, and on the topic of deck simplicity in the video games, it's hard to beat The Sacred Cards. Every other move done by most NPCs will consist of them setting a weak vanilla monster. I can't remember which one it was, but one of the early YGO games made you choose between Activating/Setting a Spell/Trap or Summoning/Setting a monster. Also, all the monsters were effectless, and you didn't need to Tribute monsters for Summons nor did you have the 3-in-a-Deck rule, meaning your last opponent, Seto Kaiba, had a Deck of 40 "Blue-Eyes White Dragons"...  :/ I haven't even seen that card yet, but I really hope they nerv the heck out if it if they'll ever release it. It's effect as it currently stands is:"3 Level 8 monstersCannot be destroyed by battle, except by a "Number" monster. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card. When this card has no Xyz Material: You win the duel." "Oni-Gami Combo" says hi... Max Darkness
Just saw the duel between Shark and IV. Yeah, I'd like to see how Konami will make that card ballanced. My best guess would be: 'Cannot be Special Summoned except by Xyz Summon. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; You cannot Summon during the turn you activate this effect. When you have detached all 3 original Xyz Materials from this card by this card's effect: You win the duel.'  I'm also going to look back through my Scarlet Geminis tonight and see if they can be updated to better counter the modern meta. So perhaps that's something. And there's a lot of potential for messing with the meta by using Geminis from the Graveyard. Perhaps I'll move them to more of a 'phoenix' theme... Max Darkness
As they're FIRE Attributes, that should work quite well. I have come across a problem. Since they're all on my old laptop, I'm going to have to fire that up before doing anything. This may take a little longer than I thought... :/ EDIT: What've you been up to, card-making-wise? If that monster leaves the field: Destroy this card. If this card leaves the field: Destroy that monster. During your Main Phase: You can send 1 Reptile-Type "Worm" monster from your hand to the Graveyard; Treat that "Worm Zero" as being Fusion Summoned with 1 more Fusion Material Monster. When this card or that "Worm Zero" would leave the field by your opponent's card effect: You can treat that "Worm Zero" as being Fusion Summoned with 2 less Fusion Material Monsters instead. Most of them even belong to the same archetype. I dunno why I mentioned it, just seems odd imo.
