Newb Defense League III [locked because remake]

Recommended Posts

@Max: Ah, okay, I see now, but I thought that any cards in the Extra Deck could be face-up or down because the rules didn't specificly state how to place them there.....Sure, it'd be logical to be placed down, but I know a lot of friends who play with them face-up.....

So, I may be wrong, but in the mean time, if its true, it would be fair for me, but not to the ones who play with them face-up as they are already face-up.....

You're supposed to play with your Extra Deck face-down, in the same way that you play with your Main Deck face-down. If that part of the game is not public knowledge, it should be face-down or otherwise hidden.

So, your card is iffy imo, but oh well.....I do a lot of iffy things, so I really don't care.....Besides, your card is not as bad as konami's usual op'd cards; so its good....

I'm just trying out some new effects.

Max: Ah, sorry, I looked, I always thought it didn't matter if it was face-up or down for the Extra Deck, now it is, got it [i knew the main deck supposed to be facedown though].....So, your card is better now, sorry....I always thought that the Extra Deck whether it was or was not public knowledge did not matter, just up to whoever wants them face-up could, I guess not....Its alright...My fualt.......Anyhow, its great card, and it works wonderfully.....So, good card....

Anyhow....Yea, i know your testing new effects, I just had to see for myself if the effect would work the way you wanted it to or not......

Meantime, I was doing research and I could build my own true working realistic hanglider with faa approved stuff from an how to book and etc; for around 600 (452.3388) dollars and yet it costs 3000 (2261.694 EUR) to 8000(6031.184 EUR) just to buy one....Geez's........Why does it cost them so much just to build it when you can average 600 - 800 dollars (452.3388 EUR to 603.1184 EUR) just to build it yourself.....

They must want money for building it...and know they can get away with it.....

Bleh, random Spirit support.

Kaguyahime's Impossible Requests

Normal Spell Card

Discard 1 Spirit monster; Pick up the top 2 cards of your deck, and Normal Summon 1 Spirit Monster picked up by this effect. (This Normal Summon does not fill the turn quota for Normal Summons. You must Tribute an appropriate number of monsters from your side of the field or hand for Level 5 or higher monsters). If there are no cards applicable for this effect: Banish both cards. You can only activate 1 "Kaguyahime's Impossible Requests" per turn.

Severely in need of OCG fix and opinion.

OCG Fix: Discard 1 Spirit Monster, and pick up the top 2 cards of your Deck: Normal Summon 1 Spirit Monster from among those cards, if any and return any other cards to your Deck (You must Tribute monsters for Level 5 or higher monsters); If you cannot, banish both cards. You can only activate 1 "Kaguyahime's Impossible Request" per turn.

Opinion: Overall, not great. Throwing Spirits is only useful if you're able to use them as fodder or to fuel other effects. As this has half a chance of banishing either your support cards (of which there is no way of retrieving such cards), or a Spirit you don't have enough Tributes for, it's a high cost for a not brilliant, and downright risky effect. Revealing only a pair of cards doesn't go very far into your Deck, meaning it's more than likely that unless you have a full field, you're not going to be able to Summon a monster you draw, or you'll whisk away a couple of support cards. I'd change the downside. Consider that "Pot of Duality" has no real disadvantage, and would be better than this in Spirits.

Would changing the number of cards picked up be a terrible idea?

Maybe I should just get rid of that restriction altogether... (The banishing part)

I would make it three cards, compared to two. And you don't need to remove the banishing part if you're able to make it work through other support.

[spoiler=For example]

Effect: Cannot be Special Summoned. During the End Phase of the turn this card was Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Return this card to the hand. If this card is banished while you control a Spirit Monster (except from your field or Graveyard): You can place it on the field; It cannot be used for a Summon this turn. Once per turn: You can banish 1 Spirit Monster from your hand; Banish 1 card your opponent controls, until their End Phase.

537osh.png

Effect: You can activate this card's effect by discarding this card from your hand. When a Spirit Monster you control is destroyed by an opponent's card: Normal Summon that monster from your Graveyard or Banished Zone. While this card is banished: You can send 1 Spirit Monster from your Deck to the Graveyard; Add this card to your hand.

Actually, while we're on the subject of Spirit Support, this is my most recent attempt to make a truly realistic card. Not one that obeys the rules and is balanced, but one that can be used easily.

You can banish 1 Spirit Monster from your hand: Place this card on the field (from your hand). Okay, here is the form:

Username: Piscez

Why you want to join: I just joined YCM and do not really know how to make Yugioh cards that much. I'm hoping to make cards that will be appreciated and complemented.

Favorite Card: I don't think i have one have one. Also, i don't understand whether you mean a real card or a made up one.

Do you play the game in real life: No, the reason for this is that i don't have anyone to play with. How unlucky i am.

How you were referred to the club: I found "Card Maker Academy" while searching through "Clubs and Organizations" in the forum. It was said to be "Dead" and i was told to go here.

I made this card recently and i tried to use the grammar frequently used in normal Yugioh cards. Sorry if its not entirely good. Well, i'm here to get better anyway. ^^

Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card can only be special summoned by tributing 2 water monsters level 4 or higher with either an ATK or DEF of 1200 or higher. While this card is face-up on the field, spell and trap card's effects cannot be activated and are useless on both sides of the field.

I hope you like it! Thanks for reading.

Hey Max, I try to be tolerant towards new members, but do I still have to be tolerant, like in the case of WWECENA? I'm fed up with him. Besides him(?), I think I'm okay with constructively criticizing. What say you Max?

WWECENA is a four-star member. He is not a New Member. And he does seem to be a bit slow.

Go nuts.

Yay, flux of new members!

It is good, isn't it!

Now, our job to help them. =333 I like seeing members getting better and then becoming really good with help. Idiots make me want to have an IP banhammer though. :/

Remember, we help Newbs, not Noobs. So don't worry.

Two "Gishki" Support Cards

1fxymp.png

Effect: You can banish this card in your Graveyard: Declare a Level (2 or 4); Reveal the top card of your Deck; If that card is a non-Ritual "Gishki" monster with the declared Level, add it to your hand. If that card is a "Gishki" Ritual Monster, return it to the bottom of your Deck. Otherwise, banish it.

novc4i.png

Effect: Once per duel, while this card is face-up or in your Graveyard: You can return 1 "Gishki" Ritual Spell Card from your hand to your Deck; Add 1 different "Gishki" Ritual Spell Card to your hand (from your Deck).

@ Dragon Sage: If I can, I would like to use you as a basis for a character. Since you expressed an interest in Bani-Psychics, I'll design a Deck using that as a strategy, most likely with this as its trump:

5lsx6x.png

Effect: 2 Level 9 Monsters

Monsters this card destroys by battle are banished instead and you can banish any detached Xyz Material from monsters you control. When this card destroys a monster by battle: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Banish any cards used to Summon that monster from your opponent's Graveyard.

Sounds really good.

Well, this is the first couple of turns for that duel, so see if you like the Deck so far.

[spoiler=Sample]

“Duel!”

Turn 1

“I shall begin!” Declared Sage. “I will start with the Continuous Spell ‘Extra Bounty’. When either of us Summons a monster from our Extra Deck using three or more cards, we can draw a number of cards equal to the number of cards used minus one. However, if we draw any cards with this effect, they cannot be used during that turn.”

“Seems like that could be a double-edged sword…” Lex murmured.

“Some risks are worth taking in the long run.” Sage returned, somehow hearing Lex’s comment. “I’ll continue by activating ‘Foolish Burial’, which sends ‘Esper Girl’ from my Deck to the Graveyard. Following that, I’ll use ‘Emergency Teleport’ to Special Summon ‘Hushed Psychic Cleric’ from my Deck.” The new monster appeared in a flash of light, bathed in ethereal energy.

“I activate ‘Hushed Psychic Cleric’s’ effect. Once per turn, by sending a card from my hand to the Graveyard, I can banish a Psychic-Type monster in my Graveyard. I send an ‘Esper Girl’ from my hand to banish the ‘Esper Girl’ I just sent. Next, from my hand, I’ll Normal Summon ‘Silent Psychic Wizard’ whose effect triggers. It too banishes a Psychic-Type monster from my Graveyard, and I will use it to banish my remaining ‘Esper Girl’. Now I activate a second ‘Emergency Teleport’, Special Summoning a third ‘Esper Girl’, this time from my Deck. I tune my three monsters together!”

From beyond the dimension gate comes the vile path! Synchro Summon! Awaken, Overmind Archfiend!

The tuning rings exploded in green light, revealing the Summoned monster.

“’Extra Bounty’ now allows me to draw two cards.” Sage continued. “Also, ‘Hushed Psychic Cleric’s’ and ‘Silent Psychic Wizard’s’ effects both activate, Special Summoning the monsters they banished.” The pair of ‘Esper Girls’ appeared on the field, before their staffs glowed. “When a banished ‘Esper Girl’ is Special Summoned, it banishes the top card of my Deck face-down. Through their effects, the top two cards of my Deck are banished. “I then activate ‘Overmind Archfiend’s’ effect, which banishes ‘Hushed Psychic Cleric’ from my Graveyard. I will end my turn with a card Set face-down.”

“I draw!” Started Lex “Looking over his opponent’s field, he resolved to remove the potential material monsters before the Synchro Monster. “I activate ‘Gem-Knight Fusion’, fusing ‘Gem-Knights Tourmaline’ and ‘Sanyx’ together!”

From Gaia’s bounty comes her most prized warrior! Scythe through to victory! Fusion Summon! Terran lightning, Gem-Knight Topaz!

“Your own ‘Extra Bounty’ allows me to draw two cards through my use of three cards! Oh, and ’Gem-Knight Topaz’ can attack twice during each Battle Phase, so your ‘Esper Girl’s are finished! Go!” The warrior tore through both its targets, bolts of lightning surging out of both battles towards Sage. (Sage LP: 4000 -> 3500 -> 3000) “When ‘Topaz’ destroys a monster by battle, you take damage equal to that monster’s ATK.” Lex explained.

“An interesting way to counter my strategy. However, you managed to activate my monsters’ effects, returning the cards they banished to my hand.”

“In that case, I’ll Set two cards from my hand, and end my turn.”
