Max Darkness
Maybe they can be Beasts? They don't have that much support. Or maybe even Sea-Serpents or Rocks. Beasts have colossal support. Sea Serpent and Rock pictures are hard to come by, so I might have to make a couple of sub-Archetypes, given what I have. She'll probebly be a one-shot character to give Yuma his final Heart piece though. Hmm...it seems she has a back-story though. Methinks she's going to become a main character sooner or later. Anyone else remember a rather aggressive character who happened to have known the main character a while ago, was introduced shortly into the series run, had a flying form of transport, and had a stupid Deck who was introduced in 5Ds...? Max Darkness
Perhaps that's the best way to go. I might have enough pictures to make a Thunder-Type-based set, so they might end up pushing the boundaries of what people would call 'Thunder' monsters. But hey, if 'D.D. Destroyer' can be a Warrior, who cares what Type we make our monsters?! Erm, Bruno/Antinomy? Tbh, the flying form of transport loses me. Crow and his Amazing Flying Motorcycle. (His bike seems to lose that rather incredible ability as the series went on, just as Jack and Aki lost their character development...) And it's not as if Crow ever stole the show from Yusei... But hey, if 'D.D. Destroyer' can be a Warrior, who cares what Type we make our monsters?! Actually, war·ri·or [wawr-ee-er, wawr-yer, wor-ee-er, wor-yer]noun1.a person engaged or experienced in warfare; soldier.2.a person who shows or has shown great vigor, courage, or aggressiveness, as in politics or athletics. And the D.D. definition of a 'person' might be a tad different of ours. Heck, if non-humans like Elfs can have Warriors, why can't 'D.D. Destroyer' be one? Crow and his Amazing Flying Motorcycle. (His bike seems to lose that rather incredible ability as the series went on, just as Jack and Aki lost their character development...) And it's not as if Crow ever stole the show from Yusei... I've decided to make it Beast-Warrior-Type to play against the low amount of support, and my huge amount of kitsune pictures. (Same reason for making a lot of my Geminis FIRE and Pyro) I thought it could only glide. Yeah... It's a motorcycle with wings. Why?

Wings should make a difference. Why it has wings... It's Konami we're talking about.
Max Darkness
Sounds fair enough. I'm going with a major archetype of Beast-Warriors, and a smaller archetype of Fairies. Effect: If you control no Equip Cards: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Once per turn: During your Main Phase; You can equip this card to a Fairy-Type monster you control as an Equip Card, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in Attack Position. Each turn: The first time the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle; It is not. When the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle: Your opponent loses Life Points equal to half the destroyed monster's ATK. (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed: Destroy this card instead.) Effect: Target 1 monster you control: This turn, it can be equipped with up to 2 Union Monsters. During the End Phase: Send 1 Union Monster equipped to the monster to the Graveyard. Why it has wings... It's Konami we're talking about. Oh yeah... For some reason noone ever realised that with a simple effect, you can get around the 1 Union p mon rule.

Hence why I gave it a name which sounds like it should have come from a very old set. I went to the Photon Shockwave Sneak Peak today. Due to a shipping mix-up, neither the promo ('Alexandrite Dragon'), nor the prize mats had arrived... Highlights include 'Daybreaker', 'Murmur of the Forest', 'Deep Dark Trap Hole', 'Wattcobra', 'Infernity Knight', 'Copy Knight', 'No.83' and 'Shard of Greed'. Max Darkness
Seems fitting though. I hope so. Also, I'm might try making it so in my Union archetype, they themselves can equip more than one of themselves to one monster, if done in a certain way. *sigh* You're quite lucky to have those Sneak Peaks, we don't have those where I live. £18 for no promo or mats make it seem like less of a thrill. I once tried to make an Union archetype aswell. Though for some reason I never continued with the plan. After I finish the sets/archtypes I have been working on, I might restart it. I think it's because you start to get the idea in your head that Unions all need to be low-Leveled support monsters, compared to Effect, Gemini and Spirit Monsters, all of which can be bosses in their own right. I know that I keep thinking a Level 5 Union just seems odd. Still better then having none at all, at least imo. I suppose, but don't beat yourself up. You're just missing out on a promo card that's already in the set at a lower rarity, so it's not as if the card is completely unobtainable. Max Darkness
Actually I have made quite some high lvled Unions. So it can't be that. Then I don't know. For me, there is something odd about a Level 7/8 Union. Probably because Konami seems paranoid about making one. Same reason why there are only two high-Level Spirits ('Fenghuang' being a Level 6, but still FIRE oddly), and one (also FIRE) Level 8 Gemini. You're right, I guess. The only thing left to do is to await the arrival of 'PHSW' then. And the best cards avaliable are in the set anyway, so you'll be getting the same boosters we opened. I didn't get any Super, Ultra or Ultimate Rares today, so they're out there somewhere...
Lexadin
Well Metallizing Parasite - Lantite is a Level 7. Speaking of getting rare cards, for some reason I only got 1 card higher then 'rare' from GENF.
Max Darkness
Well Metallizing Parasite - Lantite is a Level 7. Yeah, but they gave it 1500 or something ATK, so it's not a boss Union, just a harder-to-Summon 'Rare Metalmorph'. That's it! It's because Unions lack a boss monster of their own kind. Spirits have 'Hino-whatever', Geminis have 'Phoenix Gearfried', while the most powerful Union is 'Kiryu', and that's just a bulked-up 'Pitch-Dark Dragon'. Someone on YCM has to make the first big Union. Speaking of getting rare cards, for some reason I only got 1 card higher then 'rare' from GENF. GENF has been quite kind to me. It was EXVC where I got one Super Rare from the sneak peak, and then nothing but Commons and Rares until a month ago, when I got a 'T.G. Buster Blaster' out of the 'No.17' tin. Lexadin
I'll be waiting then. I'll probebly have some ready by near Tuesday/Wednesday. Shows the world is run by fate. Which ussually isn't on my side.
Max Darkness
I'll probebly have some ready by near Tuesday/Wednesday. Excellent. In the meantime, I'm working on the other end of the scale, with a little support for my FIRE Geminis. (IRL, this would be coming out a few sets after the original burst, so would be seen as optional tech) Effect: When a FIRE Gemini Monster you control gains its effect: You can equip this card (from your hand) to that monster. This card is also treated as a Gemini Monster. Once per turn: During your Main Phase; You can equip this card to a FIRE Gemini Monster you control as an Equip Card, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in Attack Position. (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would leave the field: You can destroy this card OR apply this card for that effect instead.)
