Favorite Card: My first card, lol. I don't duel.

Do you play the game in real life: Hell no.

How you were referred to the club: Oh I just found this club, while surfing through the Clubs & Organizations forum and found this. I'm pretty new, so I decided to join this club. I've been told my first card is a very good card for a first.

So it starts like these 2 young brothers entered a conntest to have there own cards made. So the 2 brothers decide on making cards based on there fantasy or games they played and things they liked hence Phantasy in the card name. (so I want the images to look similaiar to games like mario, metroid, zelda and so on.) So once they enetered they waited about 6 monsths and they finnalyy annouced that they one. Since both brotheres worked so hard on the cards they both shared the deck, they used it when each other needed it. They always supported each othe always. So one day they both decide to be pro duelists but since his older brother would probbaly become pro before his younger brother they decided on letting the old brother have it. So one day when the older brother wash rushing to get to a duel thaat could determine he was a pro or not he was hit by a bus. whe people ivestgated he body was no where to be found, there was abousulety trial. The only thing left was his deck. So his youinger brother thought that he may still be alive and promished to find him. Now the younger brother uses the Phantasy heros. So when he finds his brother he has to duel this dude who took him captive who was corrupted by some evil spirit. So during the duel when one of his mosters attacks he implants a corruped seed inside the younger brother heart so after he wins the duel the seed goes stronger. He then looked for his brother but his brother was gone agian, the anger made the seed grow stronger. So each time he grew upset, angry or won a duel the seed grew to the point were it reached the cards which creates Corrupted heroes. Then he finds his brother and he duels someone and aftter he wins his borther is gone once again. Then when the seed grew to its peak the younger brother duled almost everbody he saw and crushed the spirtit along with there duel disk/duel runners/ and cards. The his brother shows up and duels him uing Skybourns monsters. His brother wins and the younger brother disappeaers. He disearpperead to a desolent island where he master the evil and fused his corrupted heroes with his phatasy heroes the create Fantasia Heros. But when he returns to the his home he is overwhelmed with guilt and never duels again. Until he gains his confidence back later on.

Later on I'm going to fix this, this is just a rough draft thats not even close to complete, for some many reason you can figure out but if you can't feel free to ask.

Eh, I think it was taking up too much time for him, and the change to this format is what pushed to leave for real.

This format does look kind of weird. I have no idea with the old format looked like, I'm too new. But I'm guessing Max must of been a fantastic member, so he has my respect.

It's a shame "Reverse of Arcadia" is almost a complete copy of "Stardust Accelerator", only with an updated ban-list. Did the Zero Reverse create huge amounts of amnesia in Neo Domino? And every time, you (the player) are a mindless pawn in someone's evil plans. 'Who needs independence when you've got trading cards?' Maybe WC11 will finally be original.

As for the anime, Aki, Rua and Ruka might as well not exist, for they now have no purpose. For all intents, "Stardust Dragon", "Red Dragon Archfiend" and "Black-Winged Dragon" were the only ones at the Nazca Battle. It's depressing really. If only they'd switched the Infinity and Dark Signer arcs around. If you think about it, it makes much more sense, since all the previous YGO series had the ancient arc at the end; "Dawn of the Duel" in YGO and the primal chaos surrounding Darkness in GX. With 5Ds, they've got the arcs the wrong way round and it's become a joke.

And you can see that it would have worked as well! If you look at the last episode of the first season, at the end of the Dark Signer arc, it all wraps up incredibly nicely: the Dark Signers are defeated, the King of the Underworld is vanquished and the power of the Crimson Dragon was unleashed. It also involved all the major characters. Now, Yusei and Jack need only exist and the show would go on perfectly. Konami; can't make cards, can't make shows.

The next episode will herald the arrival of the DIVINE Synchros (hiss)... And to add insult to an already dismal season (which is about to end, so they're dragging it out even more), the members of Team Ragnarok (rivals of the day) are carbon-copies of Yusei, Jack and Crow. I mean, exact copies! No differences. Great. We had the opposite-personality-fight when Team Unicorn fought 5Ds, and we have the same-personality-fight now. It's almost as if Konami is reading from "The Big Book of Anime Cliches" and taking choice entries:

"The mysterious girl/boy with strange powers", "The friend introduced in Season 2 with powers on par with the main character", "Villain is main character's old friend with a grudge", "Villain is friend who met an unfortunate end", "Big boss is actually final villain", "When ultimate evil is destroyed, everyone affected is returned to normal" etc.

[/Rant]

Anyway, how is everyone? As I said above, I'm playing "Reverse of Arcadia" and am suspicious of the AI's duelling. My opponents' draws seem to be a little too good... And I don't like the two-on-one duels and the special rules, like starting with no hand or half LP.

And Lex, my Counter Fairy Deck has gone through some changes, so I'll upload the modified Deck List soon. It's changed into a search-beatdown strategy, compared to it's original heal-draw set-up. And of course, it's lost "Monster Reborn".

Er...have I left? I didn't think I had...

In seriousness though, what Striker is referring to is the fact I am not on very often, so I have offloaded duties to more active members while I'm not around.

I preferred the old one, but the New Page Glitch doesn't occur on this one, so I don't care.

The NPG made it impossible to see the last posts in a thread in case you didn't know.

RoA is a joke, I gave up on it. I'm playing Shadows of Almia and Eternal Sonata.

I'm also doing random writing.

@ Dark: How is the newer "Pokemon Ranger" game(s)? I only ever got the first one. It was alright, but my wrist thought otherwise...

@ Chrid: It's a little cliched. The whole two-friends/brothers/siblings-and-one-goes-evil is very overused (think Kalin in 5Ds). But I do like the searching, which I think should be the focal point. And the "Skybourne" monsters seem to be tacked on at the end, while the "Phantasy Heroes" have their own tale of descent and redemption.

66 and 67 are the last episodes of the Dark Signer arc aren't they? When you reach the end of 67, you too will think 'This would have been much better if used at the end of the show'.

The new one is much, much better. Instead of the counter being done all at on ce, or you don't capture it, it has a bar that fills up, and slowly empties. I can say I easily prefer it to the first one.

No 64 is the last episode. And I forgot about the entire Kalin thing but the younger brother didn't turn evil the way Kalin did. When I improve it I'm going to post it to see what other people thing. But I'm still missing many crucial parts. Ay ides guys? Oh and 1 crucial part is the card images. I though of drawing it myself but I'm not that good maybe I can find someone to draw for me.

You know what I've noticed, that in our generation things seem over used. And by our generation I mean people who were born from '90 to '99

I don't know why but the internet really tires out creativity. And when you think about it these concepts aren't really that bad, its just thatthe mind somewhat sucks the emotion out of them and doesn;t put the respect and power in them that they deserve...I mean if someone made YOU into a fictional epic would it be original...maybe some parts and other's would be common like drama occuring in high school...

Somethins are just complex...we need more abnormal lives...lives that make people different, like spies or really cool doctors..

it also raisies an ethical issue of if we should do these things for our children...

Chrid I like your story I dea...it's is like that in Naruto 's with some key differences.

Also I will say that before I read Naruto, and even now, I still see very few brother cliches...and I wouldn't evenn consider it a cliche but then again, I seem to be losing knowledge of things I've seen everyday

ugh life is confusing to me...also I have this to say on life, I apologize in advance for language and thank YCM in advance censors:

I wana curse out something thats intangible right now: Life Why is it that Life aint fair? B/c people can f**** take it. WHY THE **** DO THEY HAVE TO TAKE IT? THE ONLY REASON THEY ARE WHO THEY ARE IS CAUSE THE EVENTS N THEIR LIVES FORCED THEM TO BE. f*** YOU LIFE. GO N A RANCID, ROTTEN, DECREPIT DITCH CUT YOURSELF WIT A SALT COVERED BLADE UNTIL U FEEL THE PAIN U'VE CAUSED PPL. & NO U CANT BLEED OUT AND DIE THAT NOT A ****ING OPTION FOR U

the way we live is...very im at a loss for the correct words, but I'll say big,possibility-filled, change-able, and so much more and enough people don't see it...I feel like a philosopher sometimes<-----I have the potential to go mad sometimes...

The main reason (from my view) is that in our generation, Japanese and Western culture and television have opened up to each other. For example, in the 80s, "Urusei Yatsura" was probably the only well-known Japanese anime avaliable in the west, and then only subbed. During the early nineties, everything opened up and we became aware of Japanese productions like "Pokemon", "Yugioh" and other now-famous shows and series.

And with that mixing came all the old Japanese cliches, ie. 'Villain-is-actually-hero's-brother' and the other ones we now see as overused. Japanese production has a long history of anti-heroes, while the west enjoy a true hero. So, when they first came, they were seen as ground-breaking and so were used a lot. And that is why they are now overdone.

It's nothing to do with the internet; it's simply because human creativity and suspension of disbelief have limits. And for the moment, we've reached quite close to those limits. You see it in a lot of western programmes and literature. "CSI" repeats itself a lot of times and a lot of new books out follow the basic pattern of an obsessive serial killer with bizarre or unknown motives.

The challenge is to take those cliches and make them original; give them a real edge that the audience wasn't expecting. So something overused can become somewhat original, look at "Tenga Toppa Gurren Lagann" for an example. An un-original premise that ends unfolds into a rather original concept.

I agree with what you said on creativity b/c we do have our limits. I feeel that making a good enough story or refoming our ulture around story telling would be pretty good...

I mean if I took Necro or Sweet Lightning and from their persona, based off what I know, and made a story I'd ave 2 totally different concepts...

Necro would be like Sweeney Todd, except that he's never arrested b/c he's cool with teh cops and other killers...He'd also be killing trolls and beating the crap out of people who need sense

A Sweet would be an electric superman/god who dies but can be resurrected and in his legacy he left the Dragon Goddess Clair...

I mean its not that hard people...

I mean people tell me that I'm dreadfully creative but wih the clash of ideas I even wonder that now.

But I do have good concepts, like this one idea I had for a story that needs development

In the ages coming up I can sense more stories about how badasses become so BA, which would include childhood. It'd be their back story is their story

But Things may get cliched...
