Lexadin
@ Pokemon players: I decided against Gen 5 Pokemon after 1. I learnt who the villains are and 2. That you don't get the legendary on the box! What's wrong with Team Plasma? Honestly despite all thier grunts being Ginger Knights, they are the most original Team since Team Rocket. I mean they use propoganda instead of genrally stealing PKmn. They have a king who can speak to Pkmn and is brought up to believe that people abuse Pkmn and therefor things that all Pkmn should be free from humans. Thier top sage has a battle song in which you actually hear his name being said. They try to obtain a Yin/Yang Pkmn and there's also a Pkmn which enbodies the absence of both Yin and Yang. I understand the Box confusion thing, but that and that 1/3 of the Pkmn look rediculous, its an awesome game.

I understand the Box confusion thing, but that and that 1/3 of the Pkmn look rediculous, its an awesome game. I have no problem with their actions, since they are as mad as the other three teams. It's their philosophy and what they represent that annoys me. The four villianous teams in Pokemon can be equated like this:Team Rocket : A Crime SyndicateTeam Aqua/Magma : Environmental TerroristsTeam Galactic : Megalomaniac-led OrganisationTeam Plasma : Animal Rights Activists. Now, of those four, the first three have appeared in "James Bond" films, thus proving they are genuine threats to peace. Sean Connery never bothered with animal rights, neither did Daniel Craig. Hence they are not real opposition. And as for their viewpoint, it is also the most suspect of the four. Giovanni simply wants to make money, Maxie/Archie want to change the world so that their utopian society can rise, and Cyrus wants to create a conflict-free world, and believes he knows the way to it. Plasma's head on the other hand, wants to split Pokemon and humans, yet somehow didn't pick up from all his conversations that being trained (be it a benevolent or malicious trainer) by a human makes a Pokemon stronger. They pick up TM moves, EVs and can evolve: things they cannot do in the wild. And happiness-based evolutions are impossible without humans! In addition, if it wasn't for humans, Pokemon wouldn't have such wide movesets. Breeding opens up a large number of options for Pokemon with otherwise lackluster movesets, or allows more useful Pokemon a real edge (Pikachu learning Flame Wheel, and Ninetales Energy Ball). Talking in-universe, of course some trainers will abuse their Pokemon, but when the vast majority work hard to make their Pokemon stronger than they ever could have been on their own; it makes no sense to claim that Pokemon would be better off without humans when you look at the influence humans have on Pokemon! Lexadin
Actually as seen in the Mystery Dungeons, Pkmn can evolve through I.Q. instead of Happyness when wild. Now about their philosophy, I never said I liked it. I kinda agree in it being somewhat stupid. From everthing in Team Plasma I mostly like N (and Gethis' Battle Theme). How they gave him character development, an orgin, motivations, emotions, ect. THAT is the reason why I have Team Plasma on 2nd place in my Pkmn Evil Teams list, just below Team Rocket. Actually it's quite amazing how 1 character (and 1 theme) can lift up a Team's rank that much.

Well, they sort of gave all that to Cyrus as well (and Silver in HG/SS), they've obviously just gone all out this time round. I just don't like their motivation/beliefs, that's my problem with Plasma.
Lexadin
O.O Does that mean that Diglet having legs is also not cannon? Eh, I gues everyone has thier preferences.
Max Darkness
O.O Does that mean that Diglet having legs is also not cannon? Yes. As far as the 'true' games are concerned, we still don't know if Diglett has legs or not.
Lexadin
But it learns Slash. Honestly imo Diglet & Dugtrio are the most mysterious Pkmn out there.
Max Darkness
But it learns Slash. Honestly imo Diglet & Dugtrio are the most mysterious Pkmn out there. And Ground moves are Super-Effective against Beedrill and Venomoth, despite both clearly being airborne. There are some quite strange anomalies for some Pokemon. Lexadin
Actually it's neutral to both seeing as Ground is not very effective on Bug. But I do get your point. And I presume that Beedril remained on the ground for attack being (for some strange reason).

On another note for White, what are the gym leader team types?
Lexadin
Team types, do you mean the types they use? Well in order. Your starters weakness (Grass, Fire or Water). Normal. Bug. Electric. Ground. Flying. Ice. And Dragon.

Lexadin
Meh, the Gym Leaders aren't that special (exept that most of them have mentioned jobs beside being Gym Leaders). That I agree. But the E-4 are something else. Not in typing (really not), but more that you can choose which one you can battle first and that they aren't more powerfull then each other, but equal in strength. So basically, as long as you have something that can do super-effective damage, and is strong enough, you're golden.
Lexadin
But isn't that the same in every game?
Max Darkness
But isn't that the same in every game? Isn't it more so in this game, since unlike R/B/Y, you don't start on Lv.55 and work up to Lv.65? That's quite a few levels to work through before you're confident of victory. If they're all ~Lv.60, then you should be fine with a couple of Lv.62s.
Lexadin
That is true, but don't forget you also need to battle N and Gethsis. Who's Pkmn are quite a lot higher then the E-4 members. While N has the Legend from the box, Gethsis has his Hydreigon which has incredible SP.Atk and amazing type coverance, making them though opponents. Making training a tad longer recommendable. Does make you wonder why the Elite 4 are so elite, when they're weaker than quite a few of the other story characters, and of course the trainers you face post-Pokemon League... Lexadin
Actually Post Pkmn leage they actually got stronger aswell and are now higher as any non-champion CPU. Seeing as Alder and Cynthia are still higher lvled... Though I'm not shure if Cheren and/or Bianca are higher lvled then them.
Master White
@Lex and Max: So, in the Newer games, the elite four is a lot easier then the R/B/ and yellow....Well, thats nice to know..... @Lex: You said these were some types? Team types, do you mean the types they use? Well in order. Your starters weakness (Grass, Fire or Water). Normal. Bug. Electric. Ground. Flying. Ice. And Dragon. Isn't there more, b/c I was playing a silver emulator on my computer and saw steelix, the first "Steel" type pokemon.... So, is there more and do you know where I can find all of them? Master White
@Lex: Ah, thank you.....I'm wondering, would plasma be good for a new "type". I'm trying to hack a pokemon game and I'm going to need 1 new "Type" and plenty of new pokemon.....If I can get this all to work, as its already turning out to be a Donkey's D***......ugh... Lexadin
Plasma is a combination between Fire and Electricity. So I'd say both Fire and Electric typed Pkmn should fit that bill.
