lol Yusei would be f***ed.

Dont know how to set out the effect tbqh, should I make a field spell saying something like your opponent cannot use their graveyard or something?

Examples:

'Monsters this card destroys are sent to the Graveyard face-down.'

'...Select and destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field and send it to the Graveyard face-down.'

'Select ... cards in your opponent's Graveyard. Flip them face-down.'

'Activate only when your opponent activates a card effect in the Graveyard. Flip the activated card face-down.'

'Activate only when your opponent Summons a monster(s). Select any number of the monster(s) in your opponent's Graveyard used to Summon those monster(s), and flip them face-down.'

Thanks.

Does the bolded mean the same as something like when a spell card targets a card in your opponents graveyard?

No, that would be: 'Activate only when an opponent's card effect targets a card(s) in your opponent's Graveyard. Flip the targeted card(s) face-down.'

Remember though, that cards that flip cards in the Graveyard face-down must have an effect that flips the cards affected by it face-up again under certain conditions or they are broken.

So something like when its destoyed?

( The spells/traps would be continious I guess )

Destroyed, Sent to the Graveyard, Leaves the field (depending on the strength of the monster [weaker monster, more generic leaving conditions]).

Also, the Spells and Traps don't need to be Continuous, if you add effects like: 'While this card is in your Graveyard, and a "" monster you control is destroyed by a card effect, flip the card(s) in your opponent's Graveyard flipped face-down by this card's effect face-up.' or 'When this card leaves the Graveyard, flip the card(s)...'

Well, I wish I could bring my old cards up again, I called them Graveyard Runners, b/c they relied on face-down cards in the graveyard, and as some of your cards put cards face-down in the Graveyard, it would be kind of aiding and negating my idea, so yea, I think they would run when they saw them....Well, my set is coming along, and I'm starting to use other types of images other then sea warrior's....

Well, any idea for a 4 star or lower monster with a Phase manipulation of somesort? It'd be plentiful to the set....for my set that is...Its Phase Manipulation as you've probably already guessed. Its suppose to lock down the opponent so they can only use 1 phase but their will be a steep cost until you can get the trump card out....

@Daemon: I'd use your idea until I get my computer fixed, could you make this image appear, but only as one, and not 3 for the background, I'd appreciate it.

Made this on the spot and I dont think I totally get the idea so I might have to think of a simpilar idea.

Level 4

ATK/1800 DEF/200

Monsters this card destroyes are sent to the Graveyard face down, when this card attacks your opponent directly your opponent chooses one card from their graveyard and places it in the face up position.

'Monsters this card destroys by battle are sent to the Graveyard face-down. If this card attacks directly, your opponent can select 1 face-down card in their Graveyard, and flip it face-up. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, select 2 face-down cards in your opponent's Graveyard sent by this card, and flip them face-up.'

Italics is there for optional balancing, if you think it might need it as the set expands.

Max, the idea of facedown graveyard effects seems pretty awesome, but doesn't it change the whole aspect of the game

Oh yes.

It expands an already-used mechanic to render Graveyard-control Decks absolutely useless. However, since a lot of those are meta, I'm fine with it.

@Max: Just got theStarter Deck Dawn of Xyz's, and what are they calling starter deck, it reaks of weakness beyond hell....It only likes Utopia for starter's, second, maybe I wanted to expand to other XYZ's, not just level 4's.....Uhm, I'm sure you hate it, but do you know how I can update it in TCG Advanced Fromat, I'd appreciate it.

Would my 2nd effect not make it balanced?

Or all cards this card destroyes are returned to face up after this card is destoyed?

@Lex: Ah, so you understand the pain and stuff, its not even worth having a fake fight with it, I'd rather smoosh it all together and destroy the stupid cards.....But I bet ya I could beef it up if I had the time, but really, I don't with work and stuff and maybe getting a GF, it just depends......

Remember, a Starter Deck is not supposed to be competitive; that's Structure Deck territory. It's supposed to introduce beginners to the game. But if you want 'Structure Deck: Dawn of the Exceeds'... (using only TCG cards)

Monsters (19):

Feedback Warrior x 2

Freed the Brave Wanderer

Giant Rat

Junk Defender

Marauding Captain x 3

Mataza the Zapper x 2

Mecha Bunny x 3

Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke

Shine Knight

Warrior Lady of the Wasteland

X-Saber Anu Piranha x 3

Spells (11):

Double Summon x 2

Faustian Bargain

Mage Power

Mystical Space Typhoon

Reinforcement of the Army

Shrink

The Warrior Returning Alive x 2

United We Stand x 2

Traps (10):

Defense Draw

Destruction Jammer

Kunai with Chain

Limit Reverse

Metalmorph

Mirror Force

Seven Tools of the Bandit x 2

Soul Rope

Xyz Effect

Extra Deck: (7)

Grenosaurus x 2

Number 17: Leviathan Dragon x 2

Number 39: Utopia x 2

'The Rank 2 Rock-Type one'

It's balanced at the moment; but you might find that as your set expands and the overall archetype becomes stronger, the card might need additional balancing (as it will be more supported, easier to summon, and more potent as an effect).

@White: I think that a Spam Deck will be usefull. But as I'm unfamiliar with those types of Decks I cannot help you to change it (though I think you'll probebly have to remove like halfe of the cards in it to make it work properly).

The problem I found when making that Deck was that

1. There is barely any support in the TGC; I would have used a lot more from 'Photon Shockwave' if I was able. and

2. From what I've seen, the Exceeds are not as powerful, nor as wanted as their Synchro counterparts. For example, if I used "Marauding Captain", I would probably Summon a Warrior-Type Tuner instead of a non-Tuner Level 3, because I would rather get a Lv.4 - 7 Synchro out than a Rank 3 Exceed; the Synchro would have more power.

Deck is missing Staples. Monster Reborn? Solemn Judgment? Solemn Warning?

@Max: Thank you, and how did you come up with that so fast? Oh well, and yea, Synchro's are still more popular, but I like the looks of the exceed monsters. except I wish they were a little more shiny on the background, cheap yugioh company.....

It was a simple modification of a Warrior Synchro Deck I'd designed.
