Newb Defense League III [locked because remake]

I know nothing about Zexal, but from what I hear here, the protagnist is an idiot. And Exceeds don't even seem to be worth it, I mean considering how ridicoulosu a rank 10 exceeds effect might be. I mean just think, what would happen if you Exceed a yubel, Redmd & Armed Dragon LV10...that effect better be AMAZING. And basically a gauranteed win if I gave up 3 powerful monsters like that. Whether or not Konami realizes it, these Exceed monsters are probably going to make Chaos Emporer Dragon loook pretty Nice...well maybe not him, but definatle something tolerable like card crush virus or heavy storm, maybe even Dark Striker Fighter...oooh I smell big overpowered changes coming.

 

And plot devices. The only reason that boy cannot duel is for plot. It'd be nice if he discovered a way to use the cards effectively with what they have.

I need an effect fix, just the OCG and I'll add the drawback if needed...

 

When this card is Normal Summoned, you can activate the following effect:

If your opponent Normal Summoned or Special Summoned 2 or more times in one turn, you can select 1 card they control and remove it from play. When this card is Special Summoned, you can activate the following effect:

Select 1 card in your opponent's Graveyard and add it to their hand. Then add 1 card from deck to your Hand. If this card is Normal Summoned and than Special Summoned in one turn, remove it from play at the End Phase.

 

If this card is Summoned 2 or more times during 1 turn, remove it from play during the End Phase.

* If this card is Normal Summoned, this card gains the following effect: Once, if your opponent Summons 2 or more monsters during their turn, you can remove 1 card they control from play.

* If this card is Special Summoned, this card gains the following effect: Once, you can select 1 card in your opponent's Graveyard and add it to their hand. Then, add 1 card from your Deck to your hand.

Consider the Level 10+ Synchros. There are less than ten (the "Aesirs", "Shooting Star", "Scar-Red Nova", "Trident Dragion", "Vylon Omega", "AoJ Decisive Arms"), they are specific in their requirements and most of them are central to the anime. The same will be with the Rank 8+ Exceeds. They will be featured in the anime, then a few more will be released as semi-splashable beatsticks. They will be powerful, but will not justify their summoning conditions. If you have to give up two or three Level 8s, then you will prefer to keep the field presence than overlay the lot.

"Chaos Emperor", "Crush Card", "Heavy Storm" and "Dark Strike Fighter" are all broken, hence why all of them are banned. Several Synchros have hit the banlist or have been Limited recently. Exceeds require at least two monsters on the field, they need to be the same Level, and the materials are not sent to the Graveyard, a key feature of modern meta Decks. Once you reach Rank 5 and above, they start to become underpowered.

It's to explain YGO mechanics, since YGO never had an intro episode/arc.

Yeah. The underpowering of these cards seems to be a big neg on them. And unless they change the conditions for the ranks, which I highly doubt, then when you hit a rank 10, even with its generic specificity, it produces problems for users. As for the 10R synchros, they do take work to use, but they are damn worth it. Once you have one on the field, its easy to win the game in 3 or less turns. As for brokenness, crush card is broken but with today's decks,it can be stopped as wirh heavy storm. But CED & DSF will never stop being broken. No matter how you look at it, hence why many duelists love them.

@Mr.Striker: Yea, and I try but I can't catch my own errors and stuff....I guess I have to get better or just stop....I am almost 21 and I should be hunting for a future, but my future lies within my brain until the improbable is probable.....

 

Also, why is it that someone else makes an new card and template for it call it a new summon in RC and gets awya with it. But if you do it, then they move it to Any Other Cards....? Little weird, right....I even got permission from Icy to post it there, yet it was moved....any idea?

Having now almost completed "Over the Nexus" (358 victories done), I've gone back to see what I can do with "Stardust Accelerator". Wow. All the Decks are as spammy as they could be back then. And there are only three types of opposing Decks. But it's not all bad. "Bestiari" is Unlimited(!)

@Mr.Striker: Yea, it's considered realistic in my view, but the name of it got me from upping you. But it also had a hard requirement which I like, but in a contest, I like to go with the easy understanding cards so then I don't have many people asking me why i chose it and everything. Also, your savage summon was unique, but IMO it didn't need it as you could state in the card without the new summon. If necessary, you could have said treat this as a Savage Summon, which I will do for my ulterior monsters....But its all my opinion, Max could probably gladly say otherwise on what I have said...

 

@Max: Is my effect overpowered even though you can only activate the effect once when it is Normal Summoned or activate the other effect only once when it is Special Summoned? Just wondering, I thought it was okay, but you know more about it.....

I couldn't tell. You haven't given us any other information about the monster. Until we know its Level, Attribute, Type and ATK/DEF; there's no way to judge.

My attempts to archive my card collection sometimes end oddly. While going through the "Hidden Arsenal" series and releasing my "Guardian of Order" was the Sneak Peek version, I had the idea of a "Sanctuary Fairy" vs. "Fabled" duel. I then worked it into my Gottliche Bediensteten duellists and turned it into a "Felgrand Fabled" Deck. The resulting duel seems to flow quite well; an aggressive start from each side, a slower section in the middle as one player struggles to stay in it, followed by a last pair of turns where 15 seperate monsters are summoned.
