Lexadin
Lol, yeah that does good. Well Max, I presume you've already build a Steelswarm/Inverz Deck, how do they rank up against the other Decks?
Max Darkness
Lol, yeah that does good. Well Max, I presume you've already build a Steelswarm/Inverz Deck, how do they rank up against the other Decks? It's like a "Monarch" Deck, but less universal. It can get a lot of power out very quickly, but if your opponent doesn't Special Summon a huge amount their effects can be wasted, or self-destructive. Also, a few of their effects are very draining on your Life Points or require a destruction from your field to carry out. Hence why I've put some "Monarchs" in to give it some less tribute hunger. That's another thing. Their biggest monsters are two or three tributers. Now while they are powerful, you're -1 or -2 monsters and they are prey to the "Trap Holes". With "Monarchs" that's not so big a deal since you've simply given one monster up for another. But when you've put both a "Jester Confit" and "Fiend's Sanctuary" in the grave, only for the result to be "BTH"-ed, you've drained your hand and are left open. And like all Tribute Decks, you can open with a hand either full of fodder or of Tribute-needers. Currently working on a self-destruction "Sanctuary" Deck focussing on "Ancient Sacred Wyvern". Lexadin
Mhh, very interesting. Thanks, I was somewhat curious them. How so self destructing?
Max Darkness
Mhh, very interesting. Thanks, I was somewhat curious them. How so self destructing? I stopped using it about halfway through the game when it became too unreliable. Using "Mystic Wok" and "Destruct Potion" on my monsters to boost my Life Points enough to make "Ancient Sacred Wyvern's" ATK insanely high. Also, to allow Battle Phase splurges. Eg. Attack with "Ancient Sacred Wyvern" (8000/5900). Destroy it with "Destruct Potion" (12200/5900). Revive it with "Call of the Haunted" (ATK: 2100 -> 8400). Attack directly again. Lexadin
Mhh, sounds like an intersting strategy, though won't you eventually run out of mons? Nah, nevermind I'm shure you are able to use them strategicly. Unlike NPCs.
Max Darkness
Mhh, sounds like an intersting strategy, though won't you eventually run out of mons? Nah, nevermind I'm shure you are able to use them strategicly. Unlike NPCs. That's what "Pot of Avarice", "Monster Reborn", "Limit Reverse" and a host of revival cards are designed to prevent. But yes, it might get to that if the duel draws on. But then it might be the case of having a 300,000 ATK monster again...
Lexadin
Again? When did you ever have a 300 000 ATK monster?
Max Darkness
Again? When did you ever have a 300 000 ATK monster? In WC10, I experimented with a "Sanctuary"/Psychic Deck, using a trio of "Magical Androids" to bolster my Life Points by a colossal amount. There are two versions of it. A competitive version, using "Ancient Sacred Wyvern" reached 44,900 ATK at one point. The less competitive one using "Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin", reached 302,700 ATK (308,500 LP). Lexadin
Wow, I really don't want to battle 1 of those. Or do I? Do you have it on YN Max? If so, care to duel?
Max Darkness
Wow, I really don't want to battle 1 of those. Or do I? Do you have it on YN Max? If so, care to duel? They're really very weak Decks; literally based on keeping three "Magical Androids" on the field until I summon one of the title monsters. You'd defeat it in an instant. Currently using Breo as my Tag Partner in WC11. A beatdown/mill strategy is quite daunting. Although he can be as thick as the rest of them. Max Darkness
Update on stupidity. Aki shields my "Dark Bribe" from an opponent's "MST"...with my other "Dark Bribe". She also doesn't think "Blast Sphere's" effect (you know, the one that blows up your monster can can deal 1500+ damage) is worth negating with "Divine Wrath". Plus, none of the AI characters seem to understand "Waboku's" effect. Whenever "Mirror Force", "Sakuretsu Armor" or "Dimensional Prison" is activated, they chain "Waboku"; both wasting it and removing a possible defense for next turn. Also, I've found out that every single tag team is also considered a seperate duellist as if you can Ground or Turbo Duel a player, making 111 seperate duellists you need to defeat 3 times... One last thing. Guess which one of my monsters is the one the AI most commonly tributes or Synchs away? That's right! "Bestiari"! *sigh*
Lexadin
Wow, the tag partners look even dumber in WC11 then in '10. Which is quite the acomplishment. That's always so. Just like when I have a "Solar Flare"-combi on the fiel + a Lava Golem. My "partner" always needs to put them into ATK mode and either attack with them and then running into a "Mirror Force" or likewise, OR Release/Synch them into a completely useless monster that also runs into the above. God I hate NPC's as partner.
Nathanael D. Striker
Welcome to my world. Blister, in WC09, ruined a good strategy for me.
Lexadin
Yeah, and he's like the only 1 where you can team up with in '09, right?
Nathanael D. Striker
Yes, his deck doesn't go well with mine :(
Max Darkness
I like working with Breo and Dragan in WC11 because they both use Beasts and Beast-Warriors, so their support cards help my monsters. The problem is that they are both solely Turbo Duellists. Since I need both a Turbo and Ground Duellist, Aki is the strongest one I've unlocked. Lexadin
Yes, his deck doesn't go well with mine :( His does actually did do well with my horribly Synchro Deck I had in '09. Ah, I feel you pain.
Max Darkness
Ah, I feel you pain. Well, I've just managed to finish my quickest duel so far on this game. 4 turns.
Lexadin
I presume you either had a very good hand and/or your opp had a horribly hand. EDIT: Would this effect be ballanced in a Field Spell? Once per turn, select and activate 1 of the following effects: - Release 1 Insect-Type monster you control to Special Summon 2 "Swarm Tokens"(Insect-Type/DARK/Level 3/ATK 200/DEF 1600). A "Swarm Token" cannot be be used for a Synchro Summon or declare an attack.- Select 1 Level 5 or higher Insect-Type monster you control. Place the selected monster face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card with the following effect: "Once per turn, you can pay 300 Life Points to place 1 Egg Counter on this card (Max. 5). You can remove 1 Egg Counter from this card to destroy it. When this card is destroyed, Special Summon a number of "Chaos Swarm Tokens"(Insect-Type/DARK/Level 3/ATK 1400/DEF 1000) up to the number of Egg Counters on this card. A "Chaos Swarm Token" is also treated as a LIGHT monster and cannot be be used for a Synchro Summon.". If you control a non-Insect-Type monster, destroy this card. While you control no Level 4 or higher Insect-Type monsters, you can send all monsters you control and in your hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon this card; it is treated as a Normal Monster Card (Insect-Type/EARTH/Level 10/ATK 3000/DEF 3000). (This card is still treated as a Field Spell Card.)
Max Darkness
I presume you either had a very good hand and/or your opp had a horribly hand. Turn 1 Opponent:Normal Summons "X-Saber Airbellum" in Attack Position. Sets a card. Me:Activates "Mind Control", taking "Airbellum". Normal Summons "Gladiator Beast Equeste", and Synchro Summons "Lightning Warrior". Attacks directly. (Opponent LP: 8000 -> 5600) Sets "Mirror Force" and "Dimensional Prison". Turn 3 Opponent:Normal Summons "X-Saber Airbellum" in Attack Position and attacks "Lightning Warrior". I activate "Dimensional Prison", and he chains "Seven Tools of the Bandit". (Opponent LP: 5600 -> 4600) "Lightning Warrior" destroys "X-Saber Airbellum". (Opponent LP: 4600 -> 3800) "Lightning Warrior's" effect triggers, and he chains "Yellow Baboon's" effect, Special Summoning it. "Lightning Warrior's" effect resolves. (Opponent LP: 3800 -> 2900) Attacks "Lightning Warrior" with "Yellow Baboon". I activate "Mirror Force". Me:Normal Summons "E-Hero Prisma". Attacks directly with both. (Opponent LP: 2900 -> 0) On the Field Spell: It's too easy a swarmer; and sending one Insect-Type can give you a 3000/3000.
Lexadin
Lol, that was the worst moves I;ve ever seen in a Baboon Deck. Really, you let it get destroyed while in DEF mode then you Special Summon Baboon. *sigh* NPC's and thier stupidity. I thought so, I'll be working on it.
