I would be mean and make it so they can't use any of there overlaying units, that's just me.

Hmm....I wonder about an Anti-Exceed club...you and I keep could be co-owners if you want.....

Reason I made the exceed was to see if I could do it, and I made it for anti-exceed. Fire against Fire.

@Alexis: They are Exceed monsters.

Exceed monster require 2 or 3 monsters of equal level to get out.

They don't have to be tuners, they don't have to be Special.

All you need is 2 Level 4 or whatever level they claim come out.

Once summoned, its an exceed summon. They are not targeted by level cards b/c they have ranks. So if there rank is four, they will have 4 stars, black and yellow, which is called an rank.

They two monsters used must equal the exceed monster's rank.

When summoned, the exceed monsters I assumed are just played underneath. If not, I'm not sure on that part. Then they can remove Exceed material for their effect.

That's how I understood it.

I read half and it got confising.

Not liking them tbh.

Basically, a number of monsters of equal Level are underlaid (literally put under the summoned monster) under an Exceed Monster (not sent to the Graveyard), whose Rank is the same as their Level. When the Exceed Monster is destroyed, or removed from the field, the Exceed Materials are sent to the Graveyard. When an Exceed Monster 'removes' an Exceed Material Monster, it is sent to the Graveyard (confusingly).

They are annoyingly easy to get out because of their lack of reliance on Tuners. (So "Marauding Captain" becomes the key to an Exceed Deck)

@Alexis: What Max said.

@Max: So they are allowed to go under, so are they treated as an monster, spell, trap, or what? That's what gets me.

According to a website, gravity bind and other cards don't work on them b/c they have ranks which are not classified as levels? Is that true?

They are not monsters. However, it is unknown yet whether card effects will be able to target them.

And yes, since they have 'Ranks' instead of Levels, they are unaffected, and cannot be targeted by any Level-based card.
