Newb Defense League III [locked because remake]

Recommended Posts

That's a good shameless plug. Good images be there.

Anyway, now to try to end a duel I'm working on:

Current Situation:

Opponent:

(7200 LP; they started with 4000)

Has "Das Futurekind" with 4000 ATK on the field, along with the "Soul Absorption" Continuous Spell.

Main Character:

(2300 LP)

Has "Shinato, King of a Higher Plane", "Bountiful Artemis" equipped with "Cestus of Dagla" alongside "The Sanctuary in the Sky", "Trap Jammer" and "Destruction Jammer". Oh, and 10 cards left in his Deck.

Time to do some Wiki-ttacking to find the right cards.

:blink: How the! What does he have a Megamorph or something like that?

No, it's mostly burn damage.

"Block Attack" changes "Das Futurekind" (4000 ATK) to Defense Position. "Shinato, King of a Higher Plane" attacks "Das Futurekind". Since "Das Futurekind" is only indestructable while in Attack Position, it is destroyed and "Shinato's" effect activates, dealing 4000 points of damage. "Bountiful Artemis" (2100 ATK) then attacks directly.

@Max: Impresive, but who actually runs "Block Attack"?

I do, in the "Shinato"/Counter Fairy Deck I run based the main character's Deck on. It's in there because it can easily turn 800 points of Battle Damage into 2500 points of burn damage through "Shinato's" effect. Also, if I can't get "Shinato" out, it can make high-ATK, low-DEF Level 7s and 8s easy targets for "Artemis", "Meltiel" or "Harvest Angel".

@Max: Ah, but it can still give you some dead draws in tight spots.

That's why it's Sided most of the time alongside the "De-Spell" in that Deck. If I know I'm going up against a large number of say; high-ATK, 0-DEF monsters, I'll put it in. Otherwise I try to keep my Deck as lean as possible.

It's been a while since I've posted. Well, I've got another set started, since I can't focus on one at a time. This is what I have at the moment.

[spoiler=Main Card]

190904.jpg

Card Flavor Text:

Once a normal scarecrow, this 'Spellcrow', as it calls itself, was given life by an insane scientist. This Spellcrow, while weak in its own right, has a plethora of Magical Attacks that can destroy the toughest opponents. A Dark Spellcaster failed to take this Magician out when they came across each other.

[spoiler=Transformation of above card]

190904.jpg

Card Lore:

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "Spellcrow's Book of Magic." This card is also always treated as a Spellcaster-Type monster. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, increase the ATK of this card by 200. When this card is destroyed, you can add 1 "Life Brought Spellcrow" from your Graveyard to your Hand.

Neither are final as of yet.

I ninja'd people and get overlooked, that happens too often for me. D:

Anyway, I had a deck tested, it sucked, never using it again.

@ Saint Dane: Possibly underpowered, since a non-destruct monster could easily whether the transformed monster and then it could be tributed for a "Monarch", either blowing your monster or some Spells or Traps up or even just RFPing your monster, leaving you with a possibly empty field.

Max, what do you think about my latest card. It's Switch Mummy, but I added more effects to it. It seemed a little bland to me when I first did it...

1 Zombie-Type Tuner monster + 1 or more "Switch" non-Tuner monsters

This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Synchro Summon. When this card is Synchro Summoned, switch control of this card with the monster with the highest ATK your opponent controls and inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the ATK of the monster you took control of. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, it is removed from play instead.
