Mhh, interesting. So I'll gues it will be used a lot. Glad to hear that as Sea Serpents are underastimated.

Thanks for the image.

This is what the Deck is shaping up to be:

Monsters (17):

Armed Sea Hunter x 3

Atlantean Pikeman x 2

Augment Serpent x 2

Deep Sea Diva x 3

Fairy Serpent

Mermaid Archer x 3

Reese the Ice Mistress x 2

Spined Gillman x 2

Spells (12):

Speed Spell - Aquarius' Fortune

Speed Spell - Moray of Greed x 2

Speed Spell - Overboost x 2

Speed Spell - Mystical Space Typhoon

Speed Spell - Salvage x 2

Speed Spell - Summon Speeder x 2

Speed Spell - Vision Wind

Speed Spell - Wheelie Breaker

Traps (12):

Dark Bribe

Full Throttle

Mirror Force

Mirror of Oaths

Rivalry of Warlords

Sakuretsu Armor

Serpent Force

Speed Booster

Trap Hole

Tuner Capture

Umiraiza

Urgent Tuning

Extra Deck (7):

Dark Ice Serpent Armous

Deep-Sea Birth Clam

Sea Dragon Lord Gishilnodon x 3

Acheron Serpent Cocytus

Oceanus, Envoy of Poseidon x 2

New Cards:

Fairy Serpent: (Level 2/WATER/Sea Serpent) If you control 1 or more monsters and all monsters you control have a lower Level than the monster your opponent controls with the lowest Level, you can Special Summon this card from your hand.

Speed Spell - Aquarius' Fortune: Same as "Aquarius' Fortune", but requires the removal of 3 Speed Counters.

Serpent Force: (Normal Trap) Return 1 Sea Serpent-Type monster you control to your hand to destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls.

Umiraiza: (Continuous Trap) Sea Serpent-Type monsters you control gain 200 ATK and DEF for each Spell or Trap Card you control. If a Sea Serpent-Type monster you control would be destroyed by a card effect, you can send this card to the Graveyard instead.

Dark Ice Serpent Armous: (Level 4 WATER Synchro) Most likely a WATER-specific "Armory Arm" granting Piercing Damage.

Deep-Sea Birth Clam: (Level 5/WATER/Rock/Synchro) 1 WATER Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner WATER monsters

This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Synchro Summon. Once per turn, if you control a different Fish or Sea Serpent-Type monster, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Fish or Sea Serpent-Type monster from your hand.

Acheron Serpent Cocytus: (Level 7 WATER Synchro) Probably an upgraded "Blizzard Dragon"; or some effect that locks the opponent.

Sample of the Obscurums with images I made myself:

The second one is incredibly broken. It can attack and your opponent's entire back row is gone. Not to the Graveyard (where they could retrieve it), but to the bottom of their Deck. And just to add to that; it cannot be countered. Lovely.

This set is supposed to be an image of the ever-shifting and dense potensy of absolute darkness, hence why I blackened the renders.

You do have a point, though.

I like the single point of light. Something else is that they look badly-done when completely blacked-out. A little less darkness will go a long way.

Thoughts: Surely it should be a discard; not a reveal given how easy it is to summon Level 3s in the modern game.

Example: Summon "Marauding Captain" which Special Summons "Comrade Swordsman of Landstar". Activate "Reinforcement of the Army" and "Double Summon", adding and Summoning "Marauding Captain", which Summons "Spell Striker". Exceed Summon your card with the last two and Synchro Summon "Iron Chain Dragon" with the first two. 4800 ATK in one turn, and if you have a Trap in your hand, that's 1000 damage if you pick right. And you can still Set that card if you want.

Also, do you mind giving me one of your "Obscurum" monsters (preferably "Trygeza")? I want to see what it looks like on my new version of MSE.

Effect: This card cannot be Special Summoned. You can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. You can Tribute any number of monsters to Tribute Summon this card. This card cannot be Tributed, except for the Tribute Summon or effect of an "Obscurum" monster. If this card battles, after Damage Calculation, gain Life Points equal to the ATK of the monster it battled. Then, place that monster on the bottom of its owner's Deck. If this card is Tributed for a Tribute Summon, the Summoned monster gains this card's effect(s).

The fake holofoil looks a lot better on this newer version.

@ Exceed: Change to a discard, keep the damage the same and only allow the effect to activate if the Exceed Materials are still overlaid.

I'm thinking of writing a new fan fiction, but I want to know what you think.

Here's my prologue:

[spoiler=Prologue]”Yaaawn!” My gosh, office work can be so incredibly dull. I do perhaps only have this piece of paper left to sign… yes, ok. Excellent!

My name is Proffesor Platonius Prewett, newly educated psychologist and duelist. But, of course, I share the latter with, well, every single human being on earth! Strangely, people tend to become highly addicted to playing Duel Monsters, and between you and me, some of my clients have shown to develop psychological problems by this fierce obsession.

I graduated from the Dueling Institute of Neulius City, (with quite good grades, mind you) and immediately took a second study in psychology. To my astonishment, I passed my doctorate, and at the age of 19! Presently I’m 20, and in the near future, (and I mean the really near future) what I need is something to eat.

Hhm… ah! “Papa Deo’s Special Fusion Sandwich” will do. They house not only the best sandwiches in town, but also an inside dueling arena. So, hey; good food plus entertainment? Count me in.

The weather seems fine today at first glance, which is a nice surprise, as we have had nothing but rain this weekend. Now, do I want the “Chimeratech Original Spice” or “Horus Chicken Special”… huh? Curses! (It seems I were right on the money when I called the weather nice at first glance)

Excellent. Just excellent. Mid-way from my office to the restaurant and it has started to rain. Luckily it’s not too far, but I really should have brought my umbrella. Damn, I hate rain.

At last, the front-door. I’m just going to open this… “Oh, hello, Deo.”

The friendly face of Papa Deo shines at me from behind the counter. “Hello Professor, what can I provide for you today?”

“Hhm, I’ll take the Horus Chicken Special, thank you.”

“Right away”

Fortunately, my regular seat is not taken; it is located on the very end of the restaurant, with clear view of the arena, also unoccupied.

So, what to do when there aren’t any entertainment and your food is being made? I don’t know, but apparently someone by the table opposite me has got an idea.
