Yep, but was it a good BW Deck?

The deck seem generic BWs to me but the one using them was an idiot who did not read his cards very well

especially considering that he locked up his field with elfin, shura, vayu, mystic tomato, and Armored Wing while i had Gravity Bind in play so he could not Synchro summon as Alchemy beasts attack directly i don't even need to bother with his monsters + i had a field spell that increases the ATK of my alchemy beasts by 500 so vayu could not run over them and it is also treated as the continuous spell card i need to use the spells to summon my alchemy beasts

Idiot. Why did he have "Mystic Tomato"? "Blackwings" are capable of searching enough themselves.

tell me about it. As soon as my opponent plays a card i read the stupid thing so i know if they can or cant use it <.<

Though i am also more flexable as far as deck using goes as i can go from aggressive playing style to defensive. than of course i like decks that require some planning and set ups like Alchemy Beasts :D

Update: Play another person with blackwings with a Genex deck and won :D

Ally Genex Crusher shut him down(though i was already destroying him before crusher came in he just made it easier) :P

Another Update: Genex has just beat rock stun variant

Did the Genex Deck have "R-Genex Accelerator"?

First couple of parts of current writings.
1. A Continuing Nightmare]“Aki… Wake up Aki.” The voice was muffled, distorted by Aki’s semi-lucent mind.

“Yusei…?” She asked weakly. Silence, then a burst of pain as a hand slapped her across the cheek.

“Wrong.”

Coming to, Aki realised she was still in Old Momentum, still a toy to the Dark Signers, particularly their leader Hiro, who derived immense pleasure from her suffering. Abducted by Hiro about a week ago, she had been strapped to a chair since then, humiliated and forced to experience the horrors of being on the brink of life and death.

She had duelled twice during her incarceration, both times for their amusement. Against Sly, who she remembered as being one of Leo’s friends from Duel Academy, she had faced his Death Synchro Monsters; their vicious assault quickly downing ‘Black Rose Dragon’ and her own resolve. Kieran, the newest Dark Signer, was initiated with a duel against her.

Kieran was a clone created by Godwin, designed to summon the Crimson Dragon prematurely. The experiment had failed however, and he was abandoned on the street. She had duelled against him before, once as the Black Rose Witch and another time just before the World Riding Grand Prix. Both times he had shown considerable skill while duelling, but his new Deck, using the corrupted ‘Dark Gladiators’ had taxed her to her limits. Indeed, she had passed out after a direct attack.

Now, she was exhausted and near breaking point. And Hiro knew it. Unlike the previous Dark Signers, Hiro and the rest were true servants of the Immortals. They had gone so far as to release the final ‘Earthbound Immortal’, ‘Allocuaymac’; Hiro taking it as his own. The rest were just as powerful, their experiences in life driving them to the point of death and under the wing of their Immortal. Aki heard footsteps behind her before a pair of hands clamped down on her shoulders.

“You know, I don’t think we’ve talked enough about you. All this time together, and it’s all been about me. I believe we need to get to know you better, don’t you?” He said, the tone changing between insulting and patronising. “Let’s start shall we?” Aki remained silent. “The most interesting thing to know about you is the fact you have psychic powers, telekinesis and the like. Although they have disappeared since you began living the lie you currently sustain. It’s not healthy to fantasise all the time. Loosens your grip on reality apparently. So maybe we should start with helping you be the person you really are, hmm?”

“What…?” Aki nervously asked, fearful of a backlash.

“Well, in the fantasy you currently entertain, you are a notable student at Duel Academy, a member of the racing team Team 5Ds, and in many other respects a normal seventeen year old.”

“The fantasy…?”

“You see, the ‘Aki’ I know, and the one I know is struggling to get out, is a sadistic, destructive psychic duellist, capable of killing those who stand in her way. A heartless engine of devastation that lives only to eliminate life. Anything becoming clear?”

Aki turned away as memories of her past life flowed through her mind. The loneliness, hate and rejection she had felt surged back. Hiro smiled as his victim suffered. His sneer was broken momentarily when his dark mark pulsed, signalling the arrival of a signer. Gesturing to Sly, he returned to Aki. Crouching in front of her, he roughly grabbed her cheek and looked into her eyes.

“I know you feel pain reliving all this, but you have to accept what I know; and stop living in a dream world.” Aki said nothing; and quickly spat in Hiro’s face. Getting up, and wiping himself clean, Hiro growled and cursed. “Perhaps I need to try a more…intensive…method.”

With that, he moved away before picking up a length of industrial cable, scavenged from Satellite. Tying one end to a concrete pillar, he looped the other end around the chair. Without warning, he slammed his foot into the chair, a surge of power from his Immortal forcing the chair across the room and into the crater left by Old Momentum. Aki screamed as she dangled above the volatile energy, desperately trying to free herself.

“I wouldn’t struggle so much if I were you. After all, I don’t have faith in the strength of this cable. One movement too much and it could all be over.” Aki screamed again, fuelled by a weak hope that Hiro would have been satisfied with this and pull her up. Hiro, however, just continued.

“This, as I’m sure you know, is pure Momentum energy. It’s a bizarre phenomenon, and it seems to react to emotions. At the moment, it is compressed because of the dark nature of man. Man lies, cheats and steals and something as pure as Momentum cannot stomach that. So it retreats. Only those with a truth-filled heart can gain access to its greatest bounties.”

“Like you?” Aki asked, sarcastically. Hiro kicked the cable, causing Aki to swing violently over the glowing sea. She screamed out apologies and she was stabilised. Also, she noticed the level of the Momentum energy rose slightly.

“Like I was saying, Momentum is drawn to those who tell the truth. Since I am speaking no lies, the Momentum is drawn to me. Luckily for you, you happen to be between us, so you will gain the same blessings, even with your dark heart. Make a note; as long as Momentum rises, I am speaking the truth, because you may find my next few sentences hard to accept.” Hiro laughed softly, revelling in sadistic glee.

Outside, Sly patrolled, sensing for the approaching signer. Eventually, the pain began to build, signalling his opponent’s arrival. A trail of dust came into view, followed by the whine of a duel runner’s engine piercing the quiet night air. The young man smiled, and looked through his deck, feeling its dark power run through him and it. A demand broke him out of his pseudo-trance.

“Where’s Aki?”

“With Hiro.” Sly replied, blankly. Yusei paced towards Old Momentum’s entrance, but Sly blocked his path. “You have something I want. ‘Stardust Dragon’. Duel me.”

“Not until I have Aki.”

“Until Hiro is done, you will have no way of getting to her. And if you duel me, you may learn more about the powers you’re facing. It will take time for Hiro to complete what he’s doing. Why waste that time?”

“Out of my way!” Yusei forced his way past, descending the stairs to Old Momentum.

Hiro flinched, and turned to face the staircase. His dark marks burst into life, a black aura forming around him. The ground shook briefly before a column of purple flames raced up the stairs. Yusei saw it coming and raced out, back to the surface, the heat from the fire burning his back. Sly laughed mockingly as Yusei stumbled out.

“Feel like duelling now?”

“Why are you with the Dark Signers Sly? Why did you throw your life away?”

“You think this is me giving up? You couldn’t be further from the truth. You couldn’t provide the power I desired. Hiro, on the other hand, could. And with that, he showed me the way to my ultimate goal; the Signer Dragons.”

“What do you want with the Dragons?”

“What else? The power they hold. Haven’t you realised the ultimate possibility? The devastation the five can bring when they are together? When combined, they are unstoppable. And yet, you Signers have never tried it. Are you afraid? Well I am not, and I have that ambition; soon I will have the tools to fulfil it.”

“You couldn’t control their combined abilities. Was it Hiro that fed you that lie?”

“Not at all. Ever since you told me the legend of the five dragons, I’ve fantasised about bringing them all together; to reach that level of power. But, all the time, I knew that you would never sanction that release of strength. You would see it as too risky. But Hiro…he knows of the boundless potential of humans. He knows I will succeed. And ‘Stardust Dragon’ is one more step towards my design. Duel me!” Yusei’s eyes narrowed.

“Duel!”
2. Death Synchro Summon!]“Duel!”

Turn 1

“I activate ‘Allure of Darkness’, with which I draw two cards and then remove a DARK monster in my hand from play. I remove the ‘Occult Scientia Lacesso’ in my hand from play. Then, I activate ‘Foolish Burial’, sending ‘Occult Scientia Pravus’ from my Deck to my Graveyard. Next, from my hand, I summon ‘Occult Scientia Villicus’, whose effect I activate: by removing a DARK Machine-Type monster in my Graveyard from play, I can send one Level 6 or lower monster in my Extra Deck to the Graveyard. I remove ‘Occult Scientia Pravus’ to send ‘Occult Scientia Mortis’ to the Graveyard. Following that, I activate the effect of ‘Occult Scientia Lacesso’. Because I control an ‘Occult Scientia’ monster, I can Special Summon it from my Removed from Play Zone. I then tune my two monsters together.”

Bathed in the dark flames of your conquests, warrior of destruction be born. Strike through and lay all to waste! Death Synchro! Hateful triumph, Occult Scientia Mortis!

The black tuning rings were swallowed by a tornado of violet energy, revealing the futuristic creation. A mechanical howl echoed in the concrete remnants, the ground rumbling in response.

“Death Synchro Summon?!”

“Indeed. The perfect union of Synchro Monsters and the ‘Earthbound Immortals’’ power. Death Synchro Summoning is the same as normal Synchro Summoning, except for one important detail: the Synchro Monsters must be in the Graveyard to be summoned. Like I said, this duel will give you an insight into the sort of opponents we are. I activate ‘Occult Scientia Mortis’’ effect; once per turn, I can send one monster in my Extra Deck to the Graveyard. Then, I set one card face down and end my turn.”

“My turn. Since I control no monsters, I can Special Summon ‘Junk Forward’ from my hand. Then, I Normal Summon ‘Junk Synchron’ from my hand. And because I now control a Tuner Monster, I can Special Summon ‘Boost Warrior’ from my hand. I then tune my Level 3 ‘Junk Synchron’ with my Level 1 ‘Boost Warrior’ and Level 3 ‘Junk Forward’ together.”

Clustering roars, turn into an echoing arrow which tears through the sky! Become the path the light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Show yourself, Junk Archer!

The two machines stared each other down, both loosing piercing cries into the night air.

“I activate ‘Junk Archer’s’ effect; once per turn I can remove one monster you control from play. I choose ‘Occult Scientia Mortis’. Dimension Shoot!” An energy arrow lunged through Sly’s monster, forcing it into a black vortex. “’Junk Archer’ attacks directly! Scrap Arrow!” A second bolt struck Sly, the pain coursing through his body. (Sly LP: 4000 -> 1700)

“I set one card face down and end. During the End Phase, your monster returns to the field.”

Turn 3

“To start, I activate ‘Occult Scientia Mortis’’ effect. I send ‘Occult Scientia Vanguard Eversio’ to the Graveyard. Next, I activate ‘Extra Fusion’. By sending ‘Occult Scientia Vanguard Eversio’ and ‘Occult Scientia Diabolus’ from my Extra Deck to the Graveyard, I can summon ‘Consuming Darkness Malici’ from my Extra Deck. A plume of dark energies erupted from the ground, forming into a demonic angel. Next, I use ‘Advance Draw’ to draw two cards, at the cost of a Level 8 or higher monster I control. I tribute ‘Consuming Darkness Malici’; and draw. I then activate ‘Monster Reborn’ and ‘Escape from the Dark Dimension’, Special Summoning both ‘Occult Scientia Villicus’ and ‘Occult Scientia Pravus’, before tuning them together!”

Beast born as a travesty, slay those who oppose you. Rise to level this world! Death Summon! Accursed conquest, Occult Scientia Attero!

The second demonic machine shot out of its dark cloud, roaring loudly. The heat from its artificial heart radiated in all directions; a harsh contrast to the freezing night.

“’Occult Scientia Attero’ attacks ‘Junk Archer’ while I activate its effect. By removing a DARK Machine-Type monster in my Graveyard, ‘Attero’ gains 800 ATK until the end of the Battle Phase. I remove ‘Occult Scientia Pravus’! (Attero ATK: 2100 -> 2900) Incinerating Hatred!”

Sly’s monster screeched before firing a dark gold beam of energy, tearing Yusei’s monster to nothing. The blast seared past the signer, melting the debris coating the ground. (Yusei LP: 4000 -> 3400) “’Occult Scientia Mortis’ attacks you directly! I activate its effect, removing ‘Occult Scientia Villicus’ from play. (Mortis ATK: 1800 -> 2600) Piercing Darkness!”

Yusei was thrown back by the strike into a pile of rubble. Clutching his stomach, he saw he was bleeding, his opponent’s abilities making this duel far more dangerous than normal. (Yusei LP: 3400 -> 800) Struggling to his feet, Sly laughed.

“Here I was hoping that the great Crimson Dragon would give you the luck of the draw and deliver you a divine victory. Perhaps I was wrong. It would be a shame if I wasn’t able to see the majesty of that particular ancient god before you expire. I set one card face down and end my turn.” Yusei’s mark flared.

“Sly, you’re deluded if you think you can equal the Crimson Dragon’s strength, much less control it. And anyway, I have another power to draw on. I’m sorry that I have to do this, but it’s necessary.”

“My turn. I activate the Spell Card ‘Tuning’. I add one ‘Synchron’ monster from my Deck to my hand, in this case ‘Unknown Synchron’, and then send the top card of my Deck to the Graveyard.” Yusei smiled as he took note of the sent card. “Because you control a monster while I do not, I can Special Summon ‘Unknown Synchron’ from my hand. Then, by sending one card in my hand to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon ‘Quickdraw Synchron’ from my hand. Now, since I control a Tuner monster, I can Special Summon ‘Quillbolt Hedgehog’ from my Graveyard. I tune my ‘Quickdraw Synchron’ and ‘Quillbolt Hedgehog’ together!”

Clustering feelings will now become a new force! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Blaze on, Nitro Warrior!

“Secondly, I tune ‘Unknown Synchron’ and ‘Nitro Warrior’ together!”

Clustering wishes will become a new shining star! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Take flight, Stardust Dragon!

The signer dragon appeared in a flurry of white energy, causing both players’ marks to glow, Sly clutching his arm from the growing pain.

“And now, because I control ‘Stardust Dragon’, I can Special Summon ‘Stardust Xiaolong’ from my Graveyard. I then Normal Summon ‘D.D. Sprite’, tuning it and ‘Stardust Xiaolong’ together!”

Clustering wishes will call out a new speed’s horizon! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! The power of hope, Synchro Tuner, Formula Synchron!

“I activate ‘Formula Synchron’s’ effect, letting me draw one card. And now, experience my true power! Clear Mind! I tune my Level 2 ‘Formula Synchron’ with my Level 8 ‘Stardust Dragon’!” A pink aura surrounded the two monsters before consuming half the battle field.

Clustering crystal dreams open the door to a new evolution! Become the path its light shines upon! Accel Synchro! Be born, Shooting Star Dragon!

Bursting out of the clouds, the new monster swooped down, a strong wind accompanying its descent. Sly shielded his eyes from the dust, but looked up, dreaming of the power Yusei had just employed.

“I will admit, four consecutive Synchro Summons in one turn is an impressive feat, especially when they result in something as formidable as that. But it is not the power of the Crimson Dragon, so has no place in this duel. I’ll destroy it soon enough.”

“I activate ‘Shooting Star Dragon’s’ effect; by revealing the top five cards of my Deck, I can attack a number of times equal to the number of Tuner Monsters revealed.” Yusei drew five cards and showed them to Sly. Two of them were Tuners, ‘Bri Synchron’ and ‘Turbo Synchron’. Returning the cards to his Deck, Yusei continued. “Since I drew two Tuners, I can attack twice. And even with your monsters’ ability to gain ATK, it won’t be enough to save your Life Points. Stardust Mirage!”

The dragon split into two, the first launching itself at ‘Occult Scientia Attero’. Sly’s monster’s eyes glowed, before the pair of machines glowed with black energies.

“What?!”

“I activate ‘Occult Scientia Attero’s’ effect. During my opponent’s turn, I can use it as a Synchro Material Monster. As such, I tune ‘Attero’ and ‘Mortis’ together! Chaos Mind!”

Creation of twisted knowledge, lead your armies into battle. Extinguish life as the machines’ reaper! Death Accel! Immortal Slaughter, Occult Scientia Diabolus!

Yeah. There's only one big Insect archetype isn't there? I'm thinking I might use the "Ultimate Insect" line.

Yep, so there isn't much choice. Really? It might work.

Did the Genex Deck have "R-Genex Accelerator"?

Yep, so there isn't much choice. Really? It might work.

Well, given the level of Insect and LV support out there; I might be able to pull it off. It will probably be a general ATK-lowering Deck ("Burden of the Mighty" and the like), especially when you consider that if you combine the effects of the LV5 and LV7 "Ultimate Insects", your opponent's monsters are on -1200 ATK and -700 DEF; and if used with "Rising Air Current" (there's the Field Spell) and "Cross-Sword Beetle" (2300 ATK with "RAC"); they are effectively on -1700 ATK...and all your Insects inflict Piercing...

True, though you would also need quite some protection to save your "Ultimate Insects". But will it be a Pure Insect Deck or will it also contain other types?

Hence why I'll be hoping to draw my "Swords of Revealing Light" and/or "Nightmare's Steelcage" to let it just level up until it's strong enough. Probably pure Insect, but currently testing it on WC10.

Yeah, but "Uru" still needs a Field Spell.

Perhaps some "Koa'ki Meiru Beetles" might help aswell.

Hence "Rising Air Current". It won't give it an ATK boost, but it will keep it alive; and will power up my other monsters.

That's a thought. The first run through of this Deck hasn't been that successful...

Meh, 2 bad that Insects don't have that great support besides combat and Swarming.

Well, if a new Insect archetype ever comes out, maybe then Konami will re-do Insect Support.

Also; new broken card: "Wattmole".

EDIT: "Ultimate Insects" + "Rising Air Current" + "Solidarity" = Lol. "LV3" is on 2700 ATK, "LV5" is 3600 ATK and "LV7" is 3900 ATK... And with a 2300 ATK "Cross-Sword Beetle", they all inflict Piercing...
