The year is 2018. The tithes between Super Power Nations are non existent; each citizen and soldier alike, Captain and Corporal, stand for only their country. Currently, the strongest raining National Army, and most technolgicaly advanced country to date, belongs to China. Yībān, or General, Mǎ xiū Shǐmìsī, has a driven compassion to cure the entire human world of sickness, and has assigned more than 3000 of the country's best doctors to create the ultimate medicine. Lepers and other various diseases have grown out of control, and are destroying the very fabric holding a nation together. Morale is at an all time low, food and supplies are being consumed at high rates, and are too expensive to be traded or bought from other countries. This has caused an outbreak in cries for war from country to country, throughout Earth.

 

 

Meanwhile, Mǎ xiū Shǐmìsī's plan has backfired. From giving birth to what he believed the ultimate cure, he gave birth to the ultimate disease: Gǎnrǎn. Those who were in the development laboratory at the time of the massive implosion were found alive, but their very souls began to drain of life. Shǐmìsī's daughter, head researcher of the Gǎnrǎn disease, was the first to be infected. As he lie next to her on her death bed, asked of her one last request. He requested that she return in another life.

 

 

His wish was soon granted. Though he watched his daughter Angela and the other 3000 doctors buried, he was sure this was no illusion. Three days later, in the dead of night, she returned to him, bloodied and beaten, with a blood smeared hand. She was covered in the mold of the dead, her flesh eaten away by the land.

 

 

Ānjí lā suddenly ran her clean hand over the bloody one, and as she did so, it's shape was manipulated. It became a three bladed dagger, which she used to stab her father in the heart, and as the blade was drawn back from his flesh, black blood began pour into Shǐmìsī's body, eating away at his soul. And by taking her father's life, she has unleashed the greatest plague of all time. Shǐmìsī soon began to infect the remainder of his country, bringing each victim back to life in the three day process, then proceeded to break free. As time went on over a year, some who were simply harmed by the infected, and lived, began to mutate, with amazing destructive capabilities. Super Human strength, sound manipulation, and even some more strange strengths, such as shadow and fire manipulation.

 

 

 

Yet still, Gǎnrǎn has currently engulfed all of the Western Hemisphere, and most of the Eastern Hempisphere. The remaining survivors have gathered in Japan; but of course, they still cry for war for their fallen brethren in the outbreak. Each soldier or mutated survivor has their own reasons for gathering at Japan. Slowly the infection, Gǎnrǎn, is spreading. Will the remaining survivors disperse their differences to find a cure? Or will they each be overrun and destroyed? One. By. One.

There is to be none of the following:

 

 

God-Moding – This means giving you and your character invulnerability and not giving the other players fair chance over the course of battle. Instances of god-moding include dodging every attack, using an attack that never misses no matter what, giving yourself an unplanned power up halfway through a battle, not properly responding to an attack’s strength, etcetera etcetera etcetera. Just don’t do this; it’s rude and unfair.

 

 

Meta-Gaming – This means using information that your character would have no way of knowing in character. For example, if Alice’s father recently died and hasn’t told anyone about it or let information slip, then Bob, who she just met on the street, isn’t going to console her about the loss of her father. Why? He would have no way of physically knowing. Doing this is disrespectful to a character’s intentions and plotting.

 

 

Power-Playing – Probably the worst of them, this means taking control over another character or their actions. Like in the previous example, if Alice is going to throw a tomato at Bob, your post with her shouldn’t involve her throwing it and watching it splatter over Bob’s face, because that’s taking away Bob’s controller’s opportunity to dodge it. A better alternative is to have the tomato leave her hand and fly toward Bob, but not mention hitting him.

 

 

Expies – Copy-paste characters from either separate RPs or from already existing franchises, with only minor detail changes, are frowned upon. This doesn’t allow true “evolution” as a unique character.

 

 

There must be the following at all times:

 

 

Minimum Post Length – Each standard IC post should have the equivalent of at least 4 lines of text. However, a good post should have around one to two paragraphs with proper English spelling and grammar, and should have enough material for other RPers to expand and elaborate on in their own posts. (As a rule of thumb, 4 unbroken lines of text on YCM at standard size and font is roughly 100 words.)

 

 

Dialogue – Dialogue should be done in one of two ways; in quotation marks or in speech lines. Script format is prohibited, because it doesn't allow as much description and is dull overall.

 

 

 

If your application was accepted, I will post it in the accepted applications box. If not, I will PM you as to the changes you must make. I will introduce my character last, or when we have at least four applicants.
