Archbaron Larry
My Wii has been acting very strange lately. Every time I try to play a game, I click "Start", and the screen goes black. And I wait for about 30 seconds and it says, "An error has occured, chuck the Wii manual for instructions..." Then I unplug it and turn it back on over and over and the same thing happens. Is my Wii broken???
OmegaWave
What game(s) are you trying to start? It might be a problem with the disc, not the system.
Twig
You might be inserting the disc the wrong way, but that's too obvious... I've never had that happen.

Also, my brother left 007 Nightfire on the whole day and never turned it off yesterday, if that has anything to do with it.
OmegaWave
Your Wii probably overheated and a part was damaged then. I'd call Nintendo or find a nearby repair shop and have it looked at.

Or, if your memory isn't a problem, you can explain your issue, they can test it, if it turns out to be true, then you can trade it in for a used replacement. Now I have to buy like 20 SD cards :( Can I mail it to Nintendo?
Flame Dragon
Mail it to Nintendo. It costs like $80 but they'll fix the whole thing up.
Archbaron Larry
You you think I should transfer all the data to an SD card before mailing it? I have tons of channels and game data that I really don't want to lose...

Also remember that not everything will be able to be moved to an SD card.
Legokun
Completely unrelated to this topic, i was play with the wii, when my sister and dog ran threw like sonic the freaking hedgehog, running into the game cube controller that was plugged in at the time and dragged it down. Breaking some part and rendering it unusable. I got it at the Nintendo center in NYC, so it meant a lot to me. Sent it to Nintendo, got it fixed. But, on topic, yeah, your Wii is busted. And no, it will keep all data, but I've heard of a few cases that state otherwise. So yeah, send it to Nintendo, wait a few days, and get it back fixed. Not too expensive, 80$, had to save up awhile, but it was worth it.

Archbaron Larry
Ok, guys, I think I know what to do now, Flame, you can lock this. EDIT: One more thing I have to say: Gamecube games work!!! My bro is playing 007 right now. Its just the Wii games that don't work. EDIT: Here's what I'll do: I'll take to Gamestop and have them look at it, and if there is a problem then I'll mail it to Nintendo.
