Oversoul: Life after death

 

Who said death was the end, for many death is the beginning.

Many people from different countries and cultures can speak and communicate with spirits and even fight along side them.

One spirit is above them all the king of spirits, and one shaman can stand above the rest, he is the shaman king.

So shamans from around the world hone their skills for a chance to be shaman king. Before this tournament would happen once every 500 years but now things have changed. The Shaman King the most powerful shaman in the world has to die at sometime. His death signals the start of the new tournament designed to find the shaman strong enough to become the newest shaman king.

As well as having different classes in that respect the spirits are also divided into other classes based on strength.

 

Ghost type: Which would be the state that human and animal spirits start off as.

 

Seirei type: Master spirits which have attained spiritual existence on a higher plane. Spirit creatures start off in this class but other spirits need to evolve to reach this stage.

 

Kami type: God level spirits rather than spiritual creatures these spirits are the gods of mythology and are extremely powerful.

There are many different types of spirit control a shaman can use.

 

The first one is Hyoi Gattai/Spirit Unity, in which the spirit and the shaman share a body together and share and experience each of the others memories and skills, this is used to increase the skill of shaman allowing them to effectively pull of the skills of their spirit.

 

The main spirit control is Oversoul.

The first type being O.S spirit type, in which you channel your spirit through a medium strengthening that medium with your energy. It emphasizes the special abilities of your spirit and the furyoku grants them some affect on the physical plane via a pseudo physical form. The more furyoku you use the more of them becomes materialised.

 

The next type is O.S weapon type, very similar to the spirit type. This manifests the spirit in its purest form through the medium, changing the appearance of the meidum usually in some symbolic way, using more furyoku and bringing more of the ghosts physical form/forms into the world for higher fighting capabilities. More or less using a medium just to create a new weapon out of pure furyoku. Due to the nature of this oversoul it is normally reserved for Seirei class and higher.

 

Another O.S is Spirit fusion, in which the Shaman and Spirit become one. This is very hard to pull off as both shaman and spirit must be synched. This can only be done with Serei class spirits. The benefits are both the power of the shaman and spirit are used to maximum capabilities.

 

Giant spirit oversoul, is a powerful form of oversoul by feeding a large amount of furyoku into your spirit they can take on a large physical form, the downside is these spirits are just large puffs of furyoku and are very slow and bulky.

 

The last type of O.S is armour oversou. An evolution of weapon type crossed with giant oversoul, the spirit uses such a high level of furyoku that they become an armour/battle suit for the shaman, by using dense furyoku is form a physical mass. The armour being spiritual can only be hurt by other spiritual means. This can only be used by seirei and higher level spirits, but it requires a lot of furyoku and control.

[spoiler=History:]Blake is thought to be the last in the Pendragon line. Which means that he is the last heir to King Arthur's throne. Blake has no idea wether all of the Arthurian legends are true, but he does know that some of them definatley are. This is because his entire family were able to see into Avalon, the Land of the Fae, but in truth they were actually Shamans who were able to see Nature Spirits. These spirits were often thought to be fairies and some such as Morgan la Fay and the Lady of the Lake had a massive impact on Blake's ancestor. For the last 200 years the Pendragon family has been doing what they can to try and bring back the entrance to Avalon so that Fairies can come back to the world. Though only the last few generations of the family know of their true powers as Shamans. When Blake was 15 his parents and brother were killed by an unknown person and since then he has taken up his families role of trying to return Avalon. He took the reforged form of Excalibur, which had been imbued with the spirit of the Red Dragon, and renamed it Caliburn (One of the past names of Excalibur). During his travels Blake made his way to Glastonbury Tor, it was here that he met a stranded fairy who had been trapped in this world since the final portal to Avalon had been closed. The two bonded and she became his guardian ghost. Despite not having a name Blake calls her Fay, a name which is intended to be a reference to a name that people once gave to fairies and Morgan la Fay. Sometime later Blake came across Clarent, the sword used to slay his ancestor, he could feel a strong power coming from the sword. He wrapped it up and carries it with him, so that no one else can be killed by the blade.

 

Personality: Blake is a strange individual. Because of all he has gone through, his personality is very erratic. He can be very laid back one moment and then be threatening to kill someone the next. Despite this he is usually friendly and he tries his best to get along with people. Though if someone got in the way of his mission he wouldn't hesitate in killing them, even if they were his friend.

Ghost-Type Nature Spirit

Fay resembles a beautiful woman, with bright pink hair and a long flowing pink dress. On her back is a pair of fairy wings. She is approximatley 1 feet tall, but can change her spirit form's size so that she can grow as big as a full sized woman.

 

[spoiler=Spirit Mediums:]Caliburn – A Long Sword made of the strongest metal. In actuality it is the remains of Excalibur, reformed and made stronger by incorporating the spirit of a dragon into its hilt. Its silver coloured blade shines so brightly that it, if used correctly, can blind the enemies.

 

Clarent – A Long Sword that, in looks, is exactly the same as Caliburn. The only difference is that its blade is blood red. The strength of Clarent is much higher than Caliburn’s though and should anyone who isn’t worthy of the blade try and wield it, then their soul would be corrupted.

O.S. Red Dragon

Type: Spirit

Medium: Caliburn

Description: This isn't a full form of Spirit control as Blake simply uses the Spirit of the Red Dragon that is fused into Caliburn's hilt. It creates a large Red european Dragon that attacks depending on what Blake tells it to do.

Attacks: Dragon's Breath - The Red Dragon spirit breaths a fiery attack at opponents burning them to a crisp.

O.S. Morgan

Type: Spirit

Medium: Caliburn

Description: Fay reappears as a full sized human woman with large fairy wings.

Attacks: Avalon's Wind - Fay sweeps her arm and causes a massive gust of wind that increases in power the more Furyoku is used.

Avalon's Beauty - Fay places her hands together and creates a large ball of mystical energy. She then fires it at her opponents.

O.S. Fay

Type: Weapon

Medium: Caliburn

Description: Blake intergrates Fay into Caliburn. The weapon becomes much more ornate and gains a flowered design along the blade and the hilt becomes similar in design to fairy wings. A pink light flows around the blade and certain parts of the design glow in the same light.

Attacks: Avalon Assault - A pink ball of light forms at the hilt of the blade and Blake can manipulate it freely into any shape he needs once it is fired from the blade. He can't control its direction or shape once he's decided on it though.

Avalon Slash - The blade is charged with energy which is released when it hits a solid object or O.S.

O.S. Blood Fay

Type: Weapon/ Spirit

Medium: Clarent

Description: The sword doesn't change in design at all, but it gains a dark red aura to it. Fay is also now present and seems to have gained a semi-solid form allowing her to attack where she is needed.

Attacks: Mordred's Strike - A blood red energy glows in the sword and fires out in a single slash.

Hidden Blood Fay: Fay disappears from view and reappears where directed by Blake. She then attacks whatever he tells her to.
