My Top 5 Michael Jackson Songs

I will start doing top 10 countdowns soon, and one of them is the top 10 Michael Jackson Songs. But since I haven't decided on 8-10, I'll just do the top 5.

[spoiler=Number 5]

You Are Not Alone

Later on in his career, Michael Jackson got in the habit of doing slower songs, and one of the better of those was You Are Not Alone. Listening to it, I was reminded unavoidably of the ending of Muppets Meet Manhattan, and that was pretty depressing.

[spoiler=Number 4]

Billie Jean

Back in his prime, the King of Pop came out with a lot of hits, and Billie Jean was one of them. It had a nice beat, but I still haven't wrapped my head around the subject matter. Once I find the lyrics, maybe this might move a place, but for now, it's #4.

[spoiler=Number 3]

Thriller

Arguably his most famous song, Thriller is now known as Michael's signature song. It was one of the longer songs, and the lyrics were actually understandable. It would've been higher, if it weren't for the wierd, wierd music video. Dancing zombies?! What's next, a singing, dancing mouse with his own amusement park?

[spoiler=Number 2]

Beat It

Originally this was a tie, but I eventually decided I liked #1 better. Beat It was a fast-paced rock song, a nice change of pace from his slower songs. It is the other famous song of Jackson, and I can understand why on listening to it.

[spoiler=Number 1]

Smooth Criminal

This song has it all: An epic music video, a catchy tune, and ear-pleasing beats. There are a couple of problems, though; First, it's repetitive. And second, it's hard to understand unless you know the words already. But I was willing to overlook this after seeing the music video. This song's beat and tune will be stuck in my head forever, along with the theme song of a certain Disney cartoon.

I think I agree with those songs. Smooth criminal was defenitely one of my favorites, although I think bad could have replaced beat it. Thats just my opinion though.

Also, if it were which songs were the most famous, it probably would have been billy jean as number one, since that is when he did the moon walk, one of the most famous dance moves in all of history. But still, nice choices.
