The next Mamodo battle! - A Zatch Bell RP - ( Started, Accepting in OOC )

[Envoy of Twilight]

Brandon was laying on his bed with Echidna sitting on the floor. They were waiting for an opponent. He hadn't had a mamodo battle quite yet and was eager to get started. Echidna didn't care really. He just wanted to relax a little. Brandon seen a cloaked figure pass by his window. Echidna's eyes widened. "It a mamodo, and a strong one too", he said as he stood up quickly. Brandon jumped up off his bed and grabbed the spellbook from atop his dresser. "I guess the battle begins", said Brandon as he opened the book. They had been training with their only spell quite a lot. They were ready. Suddenly, his bedroom door exploded into tiny chunks of wood. Where the door was now stood a man with a black cloak on holding an orange book. Next to him was his mamodo. It was a worm. A worm the size of a dog. It looked harmless enough, but that was until the cloaked man read a spell. Then, the worm's skin ripped off and there was now red skin. Two large horns sprouted from it's head and it grew a mouth full of razor sharp teeth. "Zao-Terra!", yelled Brandon. Echidna cut the rifts into the air and jumped in. It closed after that. Then, just as soon as he entered, he exited. Right behind the cloaked man. "Go!", yelled Brandon. The man turned around just in time to see his book get sliced in half by Echidna's razor claws. The worm beast quickly dissapeared and the man fled. "I though you said he was strong", said Brandon, smiling. Then, his book began to glow. "Oh wow", he said as he opened the book.

 

-Meanwhile-

 

A group of cloaked figures stood atop a building. They then spread out, all of them with spell books and mamodos. Searching for people weak enough to be defeated...

[Grunt Issun]

"Alright Reum" Gayra said walking with him down the street, "We could run into a mamodo anywhere, so we need to make sure we have the Ganzuemu spell down perfectly, so theres a landfill somewhere around here that we can use to train, we can burn the trash for them anyway, they wont mind" Gayra said and laughed, Reum laughed with him, and they took a few turns and got to the dump, "ALRIGHT! GANZUEMU!" Gayra said, and out of the corner of his eye, he saw somone in a cloak on top of a building nearby, Reum, shot 5 fire balls, scarted, and burned half of the trash, "That was good, but I think theres a guy with a mommodo nearby, be ready"

Masako and Yuri were walking along the sidewalk, each had an ice cream cone. Masako had strawberry, and Yuri chocolate. "Yuri, don't eat it so fast.....You'll get a brain freeze." Unfortunatly Masake's warning came to late as Yuri was holding his head moaning in pain. She giggled a bit, "See, be more careful next time." In the hand that wasn't holding the ice cream, she held a school issued black case that held her purple spell book. Luckily no one had came up to them yet, and Masako was praying it stayed that way.

[Grunt Issun]

The black figure jumped off the roof, another figure jumped with him, "REUM! GANZUEMU!" Gayra shouted and the mamodo shot 5 fire balls at the figures, they were hit dead on, they fell to the ground, "Good, lets go check them out, they shouldnt be very much trouble if they couldnt dodge out first spell," Reum said to Gayra, and they walked over to the cloaked figures, and lifted up there hoods, "Its a mamodo alright, look at there book" It was a yellow book, and the mamoodo was blonde, meaning it must have been an electric mamodo, "Thats not all weve got!" The book owner shouted and stood up. "SORUZA!" The mamodo got up and threw a giant yellow sword at Reum, "Ah, Reum!" Gayra screamed out, Gayra, picked up Reum, "Alright, just aim for there book, at least one should land." Gayra said, "GANZUEMU!" Reum shot 5 fire balls from his mouth agian, one shot missed, two hit the mamodo, one hit the book holder, and when his book went flying into the fire of the fifth one which missed, the mamodo disapeared, and the cloaked man disapeared, "Thats one book burned, and one step closer to you becoming king, this will be no problem!" Gayra exclaimed, and Reum laughed joyfully at there first victory, "Come on, lets go get some fish" Gayra said, "HURAY!" Reum replied

Brandon walked down the side walk with Echinda. They went to find somewhere to train. They finally found an abandoned warehouse about a mile away. There were some rotten pig and deer bodies in there. It seemed to be once owned by a meat company. Brandon tied the bodies to sticks and stood them up. There were eleven of them. "Time to try out the second spell", Brandon said, opening his book. Echidna got into a battle stance. "Kuukan-eido!", he yelled. Suddenly, a semi-large white ball of energy came out of Echidna's mouth. "Thats the second spell?", asked Brandon with some dissapointment. Then, the sticks began to move. They flew onto the ball of energy and the ball got bigger. The sticks and bodies were crushed and smushed, then they dissapeared. Brandon blinked a few times. "I guess that's a pretty cool spell", he said as he walked out of the warehouse. When they got hime, they turned on the television. As the hologram popped out, Brandon's jaw dropped. "A few moments ago, pieces of sticks and what seems to be rotten animals appeared in the middle of the lightway and has caused an accident", said a reporter in the hologram. "That's insane", Brandon said, shocked. "I was thinking of that exact spot when I used the move". Echinda looked at him and smiled. Brandon nodded his head as he understood the power of the move.

Yoh and Vent were walking down the street to get home. "Whew, finally Summer Vacation is here.... I thought I was going to have to sit through another one of Mr. Taro's lectures.... Jeez...." Yoh said with a tired expression on his face. Vent had his usual happy expression as he walked down the street with Yoh. "Hey Vent, I don't get it, why are you so happy all the time? Aren't you worry about losing and being sent back to the Mamodo World?" Yoh asked out of curiosity. "The only reliable thing about the future is uncertainty, there's no way of knowing if I'm going to lose the next battle or win, so there's no need to be worry about things like that. I'll just let things run its course." Vent answered happily.

 

"{Sigh} You're too relaxed about things Vent.... You wanna get something to eat?" Yoh asked. "How about some ice cream? That would be nice." Vent responded. "Alright, sure. It is summer, so it's the perfect time for ice cream." Yoh and Vent soon arrived at an ice cream vendor and bought two ice cream cones, both vanilla. Yoh and Vent then took a seat at a bench to enjoy their ice cream. "{Sigh} Well, I'm finally free from school. Maybe I should hit the beach or something one of these days. Hehe, maybe I could invite a few girls along." Yoh said with an excited smile.

Once their ice cream was all gone they had stopped by the store and brought some soda. "So is there any place you want to go?"o Masako asked, then added "Besides an amusement park?" Yuri pouted and crossed his arms. "You're no fun! What else is there to do!?" She thought for a while not looking at Yuri knowing he was pouting. "We could go to the library..."

 

"I'd rather die then go there! The only thing to do is read." Masako smiled as they started walking again. "How about the park? It's a perfect park day."

 

"Yeah! Alright!" Yuri yelled throwing his arms in the air causing the sleeve of his kimono to fall down to his shoulder.

[Grunt Issun]

As Reum and Gayra were walking to the nearest sushi resturaunt, or fish market, they walked by a few benches and Ice cream vendor, on one of the benches Reum saw two people, a man and a very young kid, almost as old as him, the man had a black book with him. They arived at the sushi resteraunt, and got some food, they sat down. "Gayra, I saw someone on our way in" Reum told him, "What do you mean?" Gayra asked, "I mean...Ill tell you after I finish this food" Reum said, and scarfed down his food, Gayra just had a "are you kidding me" look on his face, "Ok done, now anyway, I saw a mamodo on our way in, he looked younger then me, but his bookholder was older then you, anyway, they had a black book, and they were sitting down eating icecream outside the shop" Reum explained, "Ok, so what? you want to battle them?" Gayra asked, "No, I think we should just talk to them first, not battle them" Reum told him, "Alright" Gayra replied, they went back out and went to the bench, "Hi there, how are you doing" Gayra said to the two when they arived.

"You shouldn't always think about girls you know Yoh...." Vent stated. "Hey! I'm a teenage guy, I happen to think girls are interesting at this point in my life! All you think about is sleeping and hambugers!" Yoh answered. After hearing the word "hamburgers", Vent began to drool. "Aw man, I would love a juicy hambuger right now, then follow by a quick nap. That would be perfect." Vent said to himself, totally ignoring Yoh. "Sheesh, you're really something Vent.... I maybe a hopeless romantic.... {Sigh}" Yoh lowered his head in shame as he thought about the numerous times he asked a girl out.

 

[Flashback]

 

"Wo-would you go out with me?" Yoh asked hesitantly as he handed a girl a bouquet of flowers.

 

"Umm, sorry, I have a boyfriend...." the girl answered with a nervous smile.

 

"Gah...." Yoh lowered his head in shame with the flowers in his hand whilting.

 

[Present]

 

"I'm hopeless...." Yoh said depressingly. Yoh then looked to see Gayra. "Hmm, oh hi there. I'm fine.... Do I look depressed or something?" Yoh asked

Brandon walked out of the house. "You know what sounds good?", Brandon asked with a smile. Echidna raised an eyebrow. "Of course I do", he said, now also smiling. "ICE CREAM!!", they both yelled. They walked down the the road to the ice cream vendor. Brandon bought himself a chocolate ice cream cone and Echidna a banna flavored ice cream cone. Brandon had his spell book in his backpack, but the top edge was poking out. They turned and looked at another grouo of two sitting on a bech near them and then they sat down at the bench next to them.

[Grunt Issun]

"Depressed? No not really" Gayra told him, "Gayra, can I get some icecream too?" Reum asked, "ICE CREAM! WE JUST ATE REUM!" Gayra yelled, but then looked back and saw the ice cream stand, "Then agian, I guess Ice cream could be a desert" Gayra said, and laughed, he got Ice cream for both of them, Vannila for both, They sat down on the next bench near them, and said, "By the way, how many spells has your mamodo learned?" Gayra asked casually.

[.:Blu:.]

"Wh-wh-wh-WHAT???!!! Mamodo?! (Does this mean this guy has a mamodo, that kid next to him. Uh-oh, looks like I have to fight now, damn it! And I was hoping for a peaceful day today....)" Yoh then got off the bench and grabbed Vent. Vent was alread asleep by now. "Gah! Vent wake up! Damn it!" Yoh then turned his attention to Gayra and Reum. "Look, I'm not looking for a battle so you can forget it! Vent is my friend and I'm not gonna risk losing him, ya got that!" Yoh exclaimed.

[Grunt Issun]

Reum and Gayra cracked up, "We wernt looking for a battle" Gayra said still laughing, "Actually we were just looking to make some friendly conversation, its not like we have to fight right now, we might later, but thats in the future, this is the present, we can be friends for now," Gayra continued, "Yeah, besides, I only have one spell now," Reum said, "I'm Reum, and this is my book owner, Gayra, its nice to meet you" Reum said cheerfuly, "Oh yeah, so agian, how many spells do you have?" Gayra asked agian

"Huh? Really?" Yoh then quickly lowered his head in embarrassment. "(Great....)" Yoh thought to himself. He then raised his head again and looked at Gayra and Reum. "Oh, then I'm sorry about that. The name's Yoh, and this is Vent, and as you can see, he enjoys sleeping." Yoh responded. Vent simply snored while he was asleep. "I only know three spells at the moment. I'm still new to this whole, mamodo battle thingy.... I don't even know why Vent chose me.... {Sigh} It's all really confusing...." Yoh said.

"Hey Masako look." Yuri said and pointed to a group of people at a bench. They hadn't maid it to the park yet. Masako saw them and paled. Those people also had mamodo partners and that usually ended up in a fight. Even thoug she has yet to be in one she had seen a fight, and knows what happens when your book is burnt. "Hey I think I recognize some of the mamodos from my world! Hey guys!! What's going on!?" Yuri yelled running over, Masako just barely missing his arm to pull him back. "Y-yuri! Please wait!"

Vent snored and then suddenly woke up. "{YAWN!!!} Did you get my hambuger yet Yoh?...." Vent asked in a sleepy voice. "Stop worrying about your hamburger!" Yoh exclaimed. "Hmm, huh? I recognize that guy over there, he's Reum, and I also recognize that sound, it's from Yuri.... Hmm, am I back at the Mamodo World?" Vent asked. "No you're not! And what the heck are you talking about?" Yoh asked as he placed Vent down. "Hey Reum, it's been a long time." Vent then turned around and waved at Yuri. "It's nice to see you again too Yuri." Vent said calmly.

Yuri grined, "Hey Vent. I didn't think I'd see you on this side. I'm glad to see that you haven't been bea-Yuri!" Yuri turned half way and saw Masako coming to a stop and pulled him to her, breathing heavily. "Dont go running off by yourself!"

 

"Chill sis, I know these guys. They're cool." That calmed her down a bit but she was still on edge. "Still...What if you didn't and they wanted to fight!?" Yuri tilted his head, "But I do know them." She sighed, "Just....Dont run off again.." She was hugging her bag closely to her not wanting to take any chances. So she was a little parinoid.

[Envoy of Twilight]

Brandon looked over the two mamodos. He blinked a few times. Then, him and Echidna walked over to the group and smiled. "We know two spells", Brandon said. Echidna jumped into the air and spun around. "Show off", Brandon said as he landed back to the ground. "This is my partner Echidna and I am Brandon, pleased to meet both of you", he said smiling. He pulled out his white book and smiled some more, then he put on his game face. "You guys wanna be sparring pals? We need to train some more and you seem nice enough, so I was wondering if you wanted to train with us", he said plainly.

Yoh turned around and saw Yuri. "(Another mamodo....)" He then turned his attention to Vent. "(Vent knows this guy?)" Finally, Yoh looked up to see Masako. "Uh...." Yoh's heart began to beat loudly. "(I remember her, she's in my class.... She has a mamodo?....)" Yoh thought to himself. "Don't worry, I'm not going to fight. I'm just here for a peaceful day of relaxation." Vent answered to Masako. Vent then turned to Brandon and Echidna. "Sorry, but I'm too hungry to spar, maybe next time." Vent answered with a smile. Yoh simply stood there, staring at Masako.

[Grunt Issun]

"He didnt choose you" Reum said with a cheerful look on his face, "who ever can read the book, hes destined for it" Reum continued, then looked back and saw another person comming, "Hey, another mamodo, I recognize...um...is that a boy or a girl?" Reum said confused when he looked at Yuri, "You mean you dont remember? I thought you recognized her," Gayra sad "I did, but I only saw him...her...umm...anyway, we never met" Reum said, "Mabye we can get more friends then I thought" Gayra thought aloud

Masako felt a little uncomfortable with Yoh staring at her. She knew him from school but they never spoke to each other. Why is he staring at me like that.... She waved shyly, "Umm...Hi..." Masako then turned to Yoh's mamodo with a confused look. He looked like a 5 year old....No one that young should be fighting. "Oh...I guessI should introduce myself. I'm....Masako Raikichi."

 

Yuri, who was listening to Reum, sighed. "How many times do I have to tell people. I'm a guy. Who would want to be a girl they-" Yuri froze feeling the glare in his back. "We're what Yuri?" Masako asked in a false sweet voice.

 

"He he, the best and the most beautifulest in the world. She nodded, "That's what I thought."

[Envoy of Twilight]

Brandon and Echidna blinked a few times, then frowned. "Aww, we were really looking for some sparring partners", they said as they freaked out a bit. Echidna crossed his arms. "I guess we're not getting any friends", said Echidna sternly. "I guess your right..", said Brandon as fake tears fell down his face. They began to walk away. "Zao-terra!", Brandon yelled. Echidna tore the holes into the air and Brandon got inside, Echinda followed. They went about a mile up the road to sulk by themselves. They were really faking though.

[Grunt Issun]

Gayru and Reum Chuckled, "I'm sorry, its just that, umm, well, you know, we dont have to talk about that, anyway, Masako, the battle for Mammodo king is between one hundred mammodo children, so ofcourse Vent is fighting, speaking of fighting, since you got all worked up over that little...mistake, you want to spar Yuri?" Reum asked, "Gayru looked at Masako, Yeah, lets do it, we dont have to burn each others books, but we can still spar, come on, lets go!" Gayru said.

"Umm.... Hi there....." Yoh responded hesitantly. "Huh, Yuri, I thought you always said that girls were annoying and always like to nag...." Vent responded. "So Vent, you know this guy?" Yoh asked. "Yes, we're good friends. I knew him for a long time now. I remember the adventures I used to have with him in the Mamodo World, and he used to tell me a lot of funny stories. We get along pretty well." Vent replied. "Oh I see.... Oh, and sorry for staring at you like that Masako, I just think you're really pret- Uh.... I mean nothing, hehe, forget what I'm saying..." Yoh said with a nervous smile.

[Grunt Issun]

"Yes, because 2 years is a long time" Reum joked, and laughed, "Yeah Gayra, we met when I was his age, it was fun to hang out with him, and hes always been shorter then me" Reum said and laughed, "Did you get a hang of your spells yet? why dont we find out, if Yuri doesnt want to spar, then we can, so whadya say Vent, we can have a good old friendly battle, like we always used to" Reum said in the most cheerful way ever.
