[spoiler=The booster and GFX Club!][spoiler=why this club was created]Lately I've been taking desire in creating boosters. I'm starting to get better at creating them, and have kinda been getting tutored by SF3, and the amazing -DG- himself! I have a couple of examples. Fill out the app below to join. Have fun! Also, I'd like to add one more thing. I thought it'd be cool if you created your own cards using the yugioh card maker, then made a booster for it that's linked to another page with all of the cards that you created in that booster pack! So in other words, let's say you create a set with 15 cards in it. You take the strongest card in it, render the pic, and put it on a booster pack. Then you use gimp to put all of the cards you created together. Then you simply upload that on tinypic, and get the direct link, and post it! but make sure you add the http:// and at the beginning and end. To make it so you click on the booster, you do this!

[spoiler=booster tutorial (come here if you want to learn how to make boosters)]I'd like to say something. I've been trying for a long time to create my own style of booster font, and I've finally succeeded. To do the kind of font I invented, first you must download the Aero font. Then, using gimp 2.6, go to file>create>logo>alien glow. Make the size 100, and choose the glow color. Select the aero font. Then, once it's created, hold ctrl and press L. Delete the one named background, the plain black one, by using the right click. Now save as a .png and open it on top of ur booster and move it where you want, and resize it so it fits.

 

All renders used in boosters need a glow. To add the glow to the render, open up the render twice, and go to filter>alpha to logo>alien glow. Set the glow size to 50-75, and select a glow color similar to the render. Now Hold ctrl and press L. Delete everything except for the one named "alien glow" and the render. Click and drag the alien glow below the render. Now just save as a .png and open it on top of ur booster.

 

Now I've moved onto the real text. You can still use the old text, but here's how you do this one. It's kinda like a tut inside a club. First, you just make everything on the booster except the name. Then, just go to text on gimp, and type whatever the name should be IN ALL CAPS whatever color u want. The color doesnt matter right now. Then, make sure it's pretty big, but not too big. Then, go to filters>alpha to logo>alien glow. Set the glow size to 21, and the color to white and click okay. Then, hold ctrl and press L. delete everthing except the one named "alien glow" and the one named whatever the name of the booster is by right clicking on them, and hitting delete layer. Then, before exiting out of the layers window, make sure the top one is selected. Go to colors>colorize. Turn the saturation to max, and pic an appropriet color for the booster. Now for the text boarder. it must be a six pixel high boarder, and must be 2 pixels wider than the text on each side. It also must be 2 pixels above the text, and on the bottom boarder, it must be two below the text. First, use the color picker tool and select the lightest color on the inside of the text. Then, use rectangle select and select where your gonna put the top boarder(I just said where to put it two sentences ago.) Then, on the top two lines of the boarder, fill in the color that you picked with the color picker. Then, use the color picker again and pick the main color, the color that covers up most of it. Then, in the third line, fill it in that color, and do the same with the last two lines. Now, for the 4th line. Fill that last line the color of the text's boarder, and I mean the text's boarder, not the white glow. Use rectangle select and select the boarder if not already selected, and go right click>copy visible>Paste>ctrl + shift + N. Then, move it to where your supposed to move it, ya' know, 2 spaces below the text, just move it exactly where the top boarder is, except put it on the bottom of the text instead. Now, use save as and save it as text.png. You dont have to use text, but that's what I use, but it has to have .png at the end. Then, press ctrl + Z over and over again until you make it to right b4 you made the original text that you made with the text tool. If you go too far, use ctrl + Y until you get to where you need to get to. Then, right click>open as layers>text.png, or whatever you named it. Move it into place, and ur done! I'll make a whole tutorial for the club later. I'm going on summer vacation (pretty late in the summer) and I won't be here for about a week or so. When I get back, I'll make a full tut with screenshots and all.

 

Now I'm also selling my template for a price of 500 points or more. I'll also be willing to bargain. You could also pay me like 450 points and +3 reps or something. Instead of uploading it on mega uploader, I'll just send each layer 1 by one, after all, there's only three layers. The background, the tech circle, and the logos.

Totally accepted! I think that's the first time I've ever had someone with over 10000 posts join one of my clubs!

I just made a new booster! It's not my best but... It's still awesome!

Can someone post the words, "9 cards per pack", copyright date, and the words, "1st Edition" that you're supposed to use in a booster? I couldnt seem to get them.

Kul. I liked ur last one. You still need to find a font that you can use for pokemon though. Can I suggest using the aero font and using file>create>logo>alien glow? That's what I do with my yugioh ones, and they always turn out good. You could also do this. File>create>logo>frost. Or maybe it's called ice, or icy or something like that. But I'll show an example of a yugioh booster that uses that in just a min.

Never mind, i'll just post the text. Also, I'd like to add to that. Just go to file>create>logo>frosty. If there's 1-10 characters, set it at size 100. If there's any more, set it at like, 35 or something. Leave it on the font that it starts out at. Then, hold ctrl and press L. Right click and delete the background and the shadow. Here's an example.

I made another pokemon booster. This time, I named it, but I'm not very happy with the style or the color of the text. I would have tried to find another font, and took some more time on it, but I'm just too tired, and I wanted to get this done before bed.

I just made these new boosters. I would have taken some more time on them, but my computers battery was low. Oh well. I personally prefer the first one over the second.

The render on the second one was a little bit lower quality than the other. But, it is too late to fix that now.
