DARKPLANT RISING
If there's two books with the same things inside, yet with different covers, one being awesome, the other being dull, most people would check out the awesome cover. "Don't judge a book by its cover".Is this really true? I can't help but think that if the cover is appealing, it's a merit.
Anti-Apocryphal
Don't judge by cover.Fahrenheit 451, for example.9/10 people at school said it was bad.I was the 1/10 who liked it.

DARKPLANT RISING
Your topic title intrigues and confuses me with its fast and loose relationship with proper grammar. Well, I'm not the best at English. I'm Jap.On the other hand, may I ask how it should be?
-Athena-
I don't know what the right answer is, but I always judge a book by its cover. I'm too lazy to read the summary. And if it's a bad book, I'll return it. No big deal.
Twig
I only judge it sometimes. If if it's just a blank cover, I won't judge it. If there's a OHMYGODWTFISTHATMINDF**K picture on the cover, I'll probably judge it.

六兆年と一夜物語
I read the first chapter. To bypass this rule.
~Umbreon~
I read the summary and the first chapter to make sure it's a good book. Most the books I like don't have a kick butt cover. Take the Hunger Games Series for example, not much of a cover and that's my favorite series

Bassa
I read the Blurb first, but even that can be deceiving.
Spoon
I'm judging a book by (in order)... 1. its author.2. recommendations from friends... and my mother, who's read like 2.5 billion books in her life.3. its summary.4. its name and cover. Though a good cover/name can lead me to read the summary, therefor asking my friends and family if they know it (or the author) and then buy it... but judging it only by its cover? Impossible. So long, Spoon
LiAM
You can judge a book by it's cover. But the cover may not describe how the book is. Same works for people. If someone looks a certain way, you can often generalize them. But the cover compared to the book can often be misleading.

-Griffin
I like those old books with the nice red covers that have a name on in plain lettering. Nothing special, just very neat. I enjoy that in a book cover.
Inexplicable Madness
You can judge a book by it's cover. But the cover may not describe how the book is. Same works for people. If someone looks a certain way, you can often generalize them. But the cover compared to the book can often be misleading. I totally agree with this but I would like to add that I generally judge a book by its cover at first, but then I check this: 1. its author.2. recommendations from friends.3. its summary.4. its name and cover -What Spoon said...
