Unfortunately, you cannot. Staff members rate all Player cards, and for the sake of fairness, you cannot rate your own. You can be either, but not both.

1. The Point System might be returned the YCMaker said in the news forum, with everyone having the same amount of points they had before the update.

 

2. Reps are now different. On the bottom right of post, you can click the + or - on the post as the new rep. It's a faster way, but can be abused quite easily and you don't leave comments now automatically when you give a rep, so you can just go on the persons profile and comment if you gave them a + or - and why. I'm pretty sure the reps are now you can give 10 + a day and 1 - a day, which is why the positive reps could be easily abused, since it's now 10 instead of the normal 3.

Well, it seems that we have reps and points now, but reps are more abuse-able. That being said, I'm just going to double the amount of reps in each round's prize, since rep inflation is probably going to kick in.

 

If we begin the contest and people would like to be paid before points are returned to normal, I will also give out 1 rep for each 10 points you would have won.

Another note, the Grand Pot now includes 10 reps, + whatever you get from staying in the tournament and doubling your earnings.

 

 

I would also like to explain in more detail the "double-or-nothing" rule. This explanation will be moved to the front page later on for reference.

 

If a player chooses to remain in the contest after placing in the Top Two, they get a Gold Chip and can go "double-or-nothing". If they do this, and they place 1st in the next round, their winnings for the new round, (as far as points, etc.), are doubled. If they place 2nd, their winnings are multiplied by 1.5.

 

That being said, you can only collect these prizes by leaving the tournament, (until the Final Round), or by having 3 Gold Chips.

 

Also, I'd like to note that if a Player does not win consecutive rounds, then they lose the chance to collect their winnings, multiplied or otherwise.

 

 

In a nutshell: to double your prizes, you must continue winning in a row.

Since this would be my first contest, I'd like to ask some questions before I sign in... just to know if I got all things straight.

First of all: The entry fee goes to you (touzaikokon), doesn't it? Then: If I got this right, there are a total of 9 rounds... how long do you think this is going to take? Do I have to participate in all rounds or am I disqualified after missing one out? And finally: All hail teh gambling! I'm in as soon as the questions are answered :D

Yes, the entry fee is sent to me. You just send me the points, and they will be included in the pot.

You are correct. This will probably take somewhere in the range of two months.

 

Do I have to participate in all rounds or am I disqualified after missing one out?

Because of the nature of the contest, you do not have to participate in all of the rounds. However, if you leave a round after placing in the Top Two, you may not return until the Final Round.
