Artemis and Scorpion both had age old spells placed on them so that the wave of holy energy had little to no effect.

Electricity coursed through Kano's body, but he could live through it as he charge with his own blade. The angel had to use his blade with two hands but Kano didn't. His left arm transformed into a much more slender blade, sharp, strong, and small. He charged straight on, hellfire enwrapping his demonic weapons.

Artemis went from the side, going for the wings, the weak part in the angel's body. Scorpion leaped itno the air, flipping just because he was a show-off, and dived at the angel, with a knife in hand.

As Artemis made his move to strike at Kiokama from the side in an attempt to injure his wings, the Arch Angel rapidly spread his wings out wide in an attempt to knock the General off balance and hopefully to the floor. As he saw Kano transform his left arm into a second blade and consume both weapons with hellfire, he simply caused his own body to practically ignite with holy fire which burned golden and would hopefully counter if not overwhelm the hellfire. His blade was consumed with the same Energy as his entire body and it just so happened that the flames leapt up just as Scorpion was diving straight down into them, liable to set himself on fire despite the protective spells. It should also be noted that the armor which Kiokama wore would render the knife wielded by Scorpion almost completely useless, possibly putting a small dent or scratch on it but nothing major. He now changed his tactic for attacking Kano at the last possible moment, leaping into the air and then bringing his blade up and above his head as he leapt at the Demon, bringing the blazing weapon down in a two-handed strike which he put much of his strength behind. It was not likely that Kano would be able to sustain the strike if he was unable to parry the attack or that he could hold it off entirely with only one of his blades.

Reina stared at him. She did hate fighting. How would getting stronger defeat Scratch? Wasn't he undefeatable? She was told that many times before. "I guess we got no choice then." She sighed. Reina stood and stretched. She headed for the door. Were they going to eat first or not? Reina lost control more if she didn't have anything on her stomach cause Scratch always offered her some. The whole strawberry cheesecake that he had offered before appeared in her mind.

Soul got up and had an evil grin "Okay then...whats the first thing we have to do?"He went for the door not giving time for the man to awnser.He looked back at the man and walked down the stairs.He quickly ran out the door and leaned against the wall of the house.He had left the door opened so they knew that he was out side.He still had his evil smile as he waited for them next to the door.

As Soul so impatiently ran outside a huge contraption could be heard in the distance. "It's not as easy as just "starting training" you have to be on my level before we can all progress further." Matthew said and then went outside and pointed to an almost invisible smoke stack in the distance from the house. "We're going over there to start your training." Matthew said and started walking off towards the smoke stack, he figured they'd just catch up and hopefully bring Suni with them...

Reina and Suni followed them Suni still didn't like any of them. She was in a bad mood from the rude awakening. Reina was tired from not sleeping. She kept thinking of how Soul kissed her. She loved him so much. She couldn't believe she didn't want to stop each time it happened. She had to get stronger so then she could help Soul stay safe from Scratch. Reina hoped that maybe she could keep Scratch away from Soul if she was stronger.

After a few minutes of walking they showed up at their destination. In front of the group was a huge mechanical contraption that spans over one mile in length and if one looked at it from the distance they were standing, they would see huge spinning blades, shooting darts, chopping axes, flamethrowers, and oh so much more. In front of the entrance was a man smoking a cigarette and putting the last modifications to the control panel of the huge contraption. "Welcome..." He said, taking his cigarette out of his mouth, blowing out a cloud of smoke and then putting it back in. "To El Diablo's Obstacle Course." The man said to the group and Matthew clapped, for he was about to have all these youngsters run through it. "All, this man's name is Letty, he is a human I have..."persuaded" to build me this contraption." Now that Matthew mentioned it, Letty had no weapons and gear on him at all right now, which means Matthew probably found him using his Blue Fire Gateways and forced him to build this machine.

Soul looked at the contraption with a huge smile "Whoah...that looks awesome!"He had so much excitment that he wanted to scream like a little girl.Soul had liked taking on challenges and doing dangerous thhings.He wanted to run through it and not get a scratch on him.He looked at Matthew and said "Me first!"He quickly pushed the old man with a cigarete aside and walked in.He saw a couple darts come at him and ran out of the way.He had gotten hit in the shoulder with ne and took it out.He looked at them and smiled "Okay...maybe this is a little more dangerous then I thought!"His smile widen and he quickly moved to the middle of the thing.He saw something shoot arrows at him and quickly moved out of the way and alost got hit.He thought that he was insane for jumpig in this.Maybe he should have waited for Matthew to say okay?He ran back and jumped out of it and stopped smiling."Sorry...i can be a little impatient at times."

Matthew sighed as Soul failed at his first charge into the machine. "Wow, didn't even get through one twelfth of it." Matthew said and looked at Letty, who shrugged his shoulders like he didn't know the answer to an important question. "Give him the pills we talked about!" Matthew shouted and the Letty reached into his pocket. "Well why didn't you just say so..." Letty said and handed over three pills, one each for Soul, Suni, and Reina. "These are energy replenishers, invented by me, if you didn't get any sleep or feel not quite rested this'll fix ya right up." Letty said and then blew some smoke from his mouth then dropped his cigarette on the ground and crushed it.

Soul ignored Matthew's remark and swallowed the pill.He felt energy go throgh his body.He didn't know what had just happened but he wanted to go through it again.He looked at Matthew and nodded his head as he said "I think im ready now."He slowly walked up to the machine and hoppe in it again.He saw the darts again from before and dodged them while running.He then saw a large swinging axe and a large pool of fire while he dodged a couple of arrows.He thought for a moment and then jumped on the front of the axe and as it swung Soul quickly jumped off it over the pol of fire.Afterwards a small cannon ball came after him and he knew he had t think fast.He had thought of a plan and he had to time it perfectly with the moment the cannonball came close to him.It was near him now and quickly took out his sword and sl9ced it right down the middle.He had finally reaced the end and he walked around the machine all the way back to the front and started panting alot.He started to talk to Matthew as he panted "Happy...*pant*Yet?"

Soul was probably feeling victorious over the obstacle course, except as he spoke to Matthew, he disappeared. Then Letty, then Reina, and finally Suni. The machine faded as well and Soul was in a dark room crawling with snakes and other creepy things and there was a single black cloak floating at the opposite end of the room and two spheres of red glowed in it's hood. "Where do you think he is in the obstacle course?" Matthew said and then looked at Letty, who then looked at a screen on his control panel. "He's in the first Room of Passage. Which means he has three rooms left." Matthew smirked. Borrowing these powerful artifacts from hell wasn't easy, I hope that kid can muster up and face this course. Matthew thought to himself. "Good day to you, Soul." The floating cloak said to Soul, seeming to already know him quite well. "This is the first Room of Passage within El Diablo's Obstacle Course. This is where you'll fast your biggest fear, and should you conquer it, I'll allow you to return to the rest of the course." The floating cloak said to Soul and then moved closer. "Tell me your greatest fear, and I shall manifest into it so you may face it!" He said at soul this time, rather then speaking to him.

Definition-

Rooms of Passage-These are the four rooms that every demon must face in order to gain access to the human world. However, they were sealed by Satan himself for he found it would make his demons powerful enough to overthrow him. If one should survive these four challenges then they shall know power unlike any other...

 

ooc2: I like to make things interesting when I utilize them, so don't expect this to be an in and out one post kind of thing.

Sou looked at the cloaked man confused "My worst fear...is to see the lives of the people i care about blow away."He wasn't sure about why the man had asked this and didn't want to freak about being in a weird room full of snakes.Where did this room come from anyways?He had thought this to himself for a moment.Soul was kind of scared about this room but didn't show any fear."Why do you want to know that?'Who could have been under the cloak anyway?

"Your worst fear is set, then, you shall see it!" The cloak spun faster and faster and now Soul was on a battlefield full of destruction and there were several bodies lying around him, but not bodies of strangers, bodies of people that Soul had cared for in the past or the future. Baleaze was lying dead to the right of him, granted he probably didn't care about him as much as other people. People from souls past were lying all over but there was one thing that he would probably not want to see ever again. For in the distance, Reina was pinned to a wall by three great spears of darkness and so much of her own blood had poured out of her body, she only had one thing to say to Soul. "Why...couldn't you save me..." And then she slipped into death....

Soul had loked all around and then he saw Reina and he just paused.He stood there silently and he fell to his knees."Reina...How could i have let this happen...It's not real...It isn't.."But Soul couldn't ignore the fact that this just happened.He had let her die.The horrid death of Reina had just happened right infront of his eyes.He could have used a spell from the books he showed her to give his life to her but he couldn't think of that."But it is Real..."He didn't know what to say or do.Tears started to fall from his face as he looked at her dead body pinned to the wall.He didn't know what to do to bring her back.He would do anything to save her."Make it end..."

Reina and Suni hadn't taken the pills. Suni wasn't tried but Reina was. Reina didn't take it not knowing how it was going to react with her cause she was a demon. She didn't want to take any chances right then. She was worried about Soul. What was going on in his mind right now? Reina wanted to read it but didn't. It would be wrong and she could make him lose concentration and then he could get killed. Reina didn't want to be the cause of Soul's death so she didn't do it.

Two more doors opened up to the obstacle course. "Are you ready to start your trials?" Matthew said, as Letty took away the pills and put them back in his pocket. Letty then started up the two extra chambers to the course and then looked back at them. "Just go ahead and enter whenever your ready..." Letty explained and then waited for them to answer or start.

The cloak with red eyes appeared in a swirl of darkness behind Soul. "If your going to face Satan your going to need to face your fears." The cloak said to Soul, but the room didn't turn back to normal just yet. "I'm sure your wondering about my allegiance by now, well I'm a neutral party that can never leave this room so I'm no threat to you and I'm no benefit to Satan either." The cloak said and then turned the room back to normal. "You seem like you know how to face your fears well enough." The cloak said as the door behind him opened and he floated to the right, letting him pass. "Good luck with the next three rooms and the rest of the course." The cloak said and then disappeared.

Suni and Reina went through their own door and took a deep breath. What were they going to do? Reina couldn't get her mind off Scratch finding them. She was afraid of alot of things but didn't say it. Suni didn't seem afraid of anything. Both girls walked through hoping that they were going to survive. Reina was shaking already. Suni had her weapons ready. Both girls didn't know what lied ahead for them. They just hoped that it really did make them stronger.

Soul looked up and walked into it.He had never wanted to walk back into that room ever again.He was ready to take Matthew's head off for wwhat just happened but he reminded himself that it wasn't real.But he took a deep breath and just walked through the room."What is the next course?"He had yelled this hoping someone else was in this room.But he hadn't seen anyone.What was the purpose of this room anyways?

Suni and Reina had to face the first portion of the course, the portion that came before the Rooms of Passage, so, without warning waves of fire rushed at Reina and darts shot at her. That wasn't all, there were still swinging axes, spinning blades, and slashing swords she had to dodge as well. Where as in Suni's room there were the same spinning blades, swinging axes, and slashing swords but there was no fire or darts yet so she could chose when she started her obstacles.

"Welcome, welcome, welcome, and welcome the fourth time!" Another cloak appeared, but this one was different, this cloak was blood red with blue eyes and seemed to have a different attitude about him. "Good day, and I'll never welcome anyone a fifth time! Not ever!" The cloak said, suddenly appearing before Soul. "Welcome to the secon..." The cloak than realized what he had done. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He flew into the air and came crashing down in a fit of crying and anger. "I said it a fifth time! Unforgivable, unforgivable!" The cloak said to himself and then made himself stop and stand up straight. "Now, onto the the challenge. Tell me child, what make you proud to be yourself? What, gives you meaning?" The cloak asked, and then waited for a response.

Soul had seen the crazy guy hit the floor in tears and he thought that the test was he had to put up with this thing.He smiled in recognition and started to speak to him "What makes me proud...I really don't know."He had just then noticed that he was a bit cocky for a long time.His freinds...well Reina had probally seen this a long while back.What did make him proud to be himself?

"Hurry up and answer boy, I haven't got all day." The cloak said and started flying in circles around Soul. "Well seeing as we are bound to our individual rooms, that's no entirely true now is it!" He said and then went tangible and flew through Soul's body and came out the other side, going into normal mode and flying up then back down to the ground. He turned to soul and blinked his blue eyes. "You must open your soul...Soul....Heh, soul Soul, yer names kinda funny. You have to examine what makes you you, what YOU want and who YOU want to be, and in that we can complete this test." The cloak said, and then started to fly again....

Soul lookd at him examining him closely.His words went through his head a million times.You have to examine what makes you you, what YOU want and who YOU want to be."What I want...Is to be cared about...Like i have cared for other people."He was agitated when the man talked about his name.He wanted out of this place.Soul didn't understand the point in this test.How did this make him stronger?He just stood there in silence wondering what was going to happen next.

Reina was running around trying to get through without dying. She jumped and ran trying to miss everying that came at her. "Someone help! Their trying to kill me!" Reina cried as she ran. Suni started hers. She didn't seem to have any trouble dodging and jumping. She finished hers without breaking a sweat. "That was too easy." She sighed heading to the end. Reina managed to get to the end of hers but she was tired.

The cloak appeared before soul again and looked him in the eyes. "By examining who you are, and finding what makes you live, will help you in battle by making you a calmer and more conscious person." The cloak disappeared and reappeared by the back of the second room. "I think our test is over, if what you identified to me your true reason for living..." The cloak said and a door opened to the back of the second room. "Don't let your mind get clouded, by thoughts that once were." The cloak said and slowly disappeared.

Suni "finished" her portion of the obstacle course, but like Soul before her everything disappeared and she found herself in a white room with bright things all around. There was a white cloak with shadowy black eyes looking at her from across the room, the cloak said nothing only looked at her in disgust. The cloak didn't want to welcome her so he just stood there for a good three or four minutes before suddenly throwing twelve silver spears directly at her, which seemed to come out of nowhere...

More blades came after Reina as she ran for her life through the obstacle course. Darts and balls of fire started spawning from the sides as well. "Heh, seems as if Reina is having a hard time with, the hardest time from what I can see." Matthew said, Letty reaching into his pockets and pulling out the two pills and then stuffing them back in. "She's low on energy which means slower reaction times, which means a greater chance of death." Letty explained to Matthew. "By the by, how'd ya do with that safety system for the course, does it work." Letty looked away from Matthew then rubbed the back of his head. "More or less..."

Soul turned around and sighed wondering what the next test was.He walked into the door and smiled hoping to see another person in a cloak."Four...this is the lat one then huh?"He waited there in silence thinking about how strong he would be after this room.Would he be outside again?Would Reina and Suni survive the obsacle course?He wanted to get this test over with and leave that place.Afterwards he could test out his strength."Anyone in here?"He yelled this and heard an echo and he waited for another cloaked being.
