The Fool's Game - Me and You, Redux

Does anyone remember these? Originally created by Umbra, they were in the vein of Liar's Game and were potentially-lucrative ways to win lots of points. Anyways, I've decided to bring the one I made in the past, Me and You, back onto the table due to its relative success in its first iteration. To be more clear, it ended with three winners each receiving over 2000 points. That's a lot. Anyhoo, the rules.

 

Name: Me and You

 

Entry Fee? None.

 

Number of Contestants: 9 13

 

Idea: It's simple. The game is divided into 2 phases, Bets and Gets, which will each "cycle" until the game is over. Each phase will last 24 hours, and there will be no change to this.

 

Bets: Each person will bet (IE, donate) points, in increments of 100, with a minimum contribution of 0. Please entitle your donation as "Me and You - BET". If you choose to not donate anything, please instead send me a PM with the subject being "Me and You - BET: 0 Points".

 

Gets: I will post the combined number of points donated on the thread. Then, each person will PM me the following form, with the PM entitled "Me and You Options":

You will select either "Me" or "You" for each number; this indicates the order in which I will apply your options. After the 24 hours, I will assign a point value to people, using the following formula. (Anyone who didn't send their options will be eliminated.):

 

-Me: (the # of points in the pot / the # of players) + 1/2 of that person's submitted bet - 100

-You: 0

 

I will do this twice, calculating everybody's first option (the one listed under "1") with the whole pot and then calculating it again using the second value and whatever's left in the pot. These two values summed make the point value for each player.

 

Then, players get eliminated. If the pot got drained to 0 or below, all who voted "Me"/have a value above 0 will be eliminated. However, if the pot is not empty, any players that have the 2 lowest values out of all the generated values will be eliminated. The values will then be reset (but not the pot) and this cycle of phases will continue until 1 player is remaining, who will receive all money in the pot. If at any instance all players would be eliminated, the round results will be discarded, all points will be returned to their owners, and another round will begin.

 

Finally, you are allowed to PM and discuss with other members about your votes. This is in fact encouraged: there is intended to be a team element to this. Good luck, and may the best Fool win.
