Kiyo
I've read somewhere that an FF7 PSP remake is possible, IF the original development team (Sakaguchi, Kitase, Nomura and Amano, I think) of FF7 teamed up again. But since they've been assigned different projects, it's unlikely.
The Amazing Avian
It doesn't need a remake because it's available on PSN, it would take a huge budget to remake it with the graphics that a PS3 has.
RockS
The point of a remake is so that it is technically better. I know they rereleased it on PSN, but it's just the same game. I don't want to play the exact same game again. I want to see it with good graphics, dialogue, etc. I kinda wanna say that budget won't be a problem since it's impossible a remake won't be a hit. It has so many fans who would buy it, thus making the company tons of money.
Kiyo
Still, I don't think an already-successful game needs a remake over the more overlooked FFs.We don't need a new generation of Sephiroth/Cloud-lovers again. (And even THAT fanbase hasn't shut up yet.)Â And I'd rather Squeenix focus on FF14 and (more prefferably) KH3.

That's it.

The Amazing Avian
I see a remake once people start to forget it, in about 10-15 years.
Icy
Honestly, I'm not a very big fan of an RPG on a PSP. The PsP is a mobile gameplay device. You simply don't have the time when you're using it to play a 40hr+ RPG on it. If they're doing it like that, they're doing it WRONG.  The first few games were an exception due to their already small in comparison nature. Alas, Final Fantasy 7 while being one of the best RPG's ever made (not anymore however due to the fact of whatever); is overrated as said. They've given fans a lot to go off of in terms of the game itself and has warranted Square millions in the process. Tbh, Im surprised that they didnt fall down to poo like Rockstar did by self-serving their fans (bad maneuver in the long run as evident).  I do however, agree that some Final Fantasy Games should have remakes such as Final Fantasy 8. Probably the best Soap-Opera Game out there. And it did it in a way that can be enjoyed greatly with a plethora of side quests. With the new Crystal Tool Engine, that itself would need to be retooled a little to handle the older Final Fantasy Games (from what I gather certain actions simply arent possible with it).  As for Final Fantasy X? No Game, Movie.
Phantom Roxas
And I'd rather Squeenix focus on FF14 and (more prefferably) KH3. I think Squeenix has multiple teams to work on different projects, and it is possible for some people to take time working on multiple games. Kiyo
As I said, the original FF7 developers were each given their own projects. They would all need to work on the project in order for it to happen, which could affect their individual projects.
-SupernovA-
Like alot of people have already said, Square Enix has alot of their original developers on other projects, and they won't do a remake for FFVII without the original team. Also they said to remake a game of that scale in graphics of the current era would take a minimal of 10 years, which is completely unrealistic. They did say this though, if they can get the original team back together in the future and find a way for it to be remade in 4 years, tops, they would love to do it. I'd provide a link but I read this somewhere about a year ago and I can't remember where. :\ Edit: Personally, I would rather see a FFVIII Remake, although I like the original just fine anyway. Yasu
Ewww.FFVI is the one that needs a remake.
RickiMinaj
VII, VIII, and IX are on PSN, so if you have a psp or ps3 you should be able to play them if you have either of those systems. I still need to play through X-2 since I want to know what happens after X. Speaking of FF, i think Square Enix should make another Dissidia, one with Auron, Seifer and Vincent. That would be awesome.  Big fan of X, and to be honest, prefer that over any pf the games. But I would suggest making a X-3. Let the story continue on further is what I'm saying >.<

Quicksilver
No, people should hunt down retro games rather than expecting them to be re-released each generation.

The True Ace Attorney
V and VI get remakes on 3DS because they were the Nintendo games. VII, VIII and IX remade on PSP because they were the PS1 games. X doesn't need a remake yet. It's on a console that's still amazingly playable and is still a great game, even (or in some cases, especially) when compared to the next-gen consoles games.
