Destiny's Calling (IC Thread) [Advanced Clause] (Still Accepting in OoC)

Recommended Posts

Loud, screeching feedback thundered through the base, bringing pain to everyone's ears. Except for Shradow's that is. He looked around, and cocked his head in confusion. Then he realized what the problem. He stuck his fingers in his ears and pulled out ear plugs. "Ah, I forgot about those. No wonder everything was strangely muted." He placed the ear plugs on the table. "Proto, who's to say that you'll always have available machines nearby to use? I do hope you have more abilities than that, comrade."

Tsked and wagged his finger at Dane " The multiverse may crumble, but who said it would be a bad thing? Anyway while the universe is at stake, the stakes matter only if the oppenet was any good. This is striker, if arrogance was a poison he'd be a threat but physics is not so cruuel. Besides the world hates him, even if we fail there is no way Godot won't, he has that Dahlia girl bye his side anyway. Anyway I think I have an idea, we set up a reverse forcefield around there base, locking them in. Naturally they will have to try to stop us, thus they fight us at our terms, we merely need to go to places were we have the advantage and travel in groups. If me, Proto and you work together no force on earth could stop us. The fact that Shradow and Zero are here simply lets this war be won that much quicker."

Apperantly Nexev was unaffected by the noise, a potential advantage of lacking ears.

I wonder if a forcefield can help defend the castle.

War Torn got the dimentions of the castle and the dimentions of the biggest forcefield avalible.

The dimentions are the same, however, the forcefield is a circle and the castle is a rectangle. Wait, I got it. I should get two forcefields that can split the protection of the castle.

He then proceeded to check the price tag.

Wow, that is expensive. Better go see the vault.

War Torn left the room and headed for the castle vault.

"I'm pretty sure at least one is okay War Torn", Ulquiorra says. He observes the forcefield outside, and its power. Then he heads back to the vault where the stash of treasure and stuff are. Soon, he finds war Torn. "War Torn, How much was that forcefield?", he said. "It better be enough to defend ourselves".

Shadow Zero kept quiet and listened to what everyone was saying. When Proto caused a loud noise of feedback, he turned in his direction and raised an eyebrow, as if to silently ask if what he did was actually all that necessary. When Nexev commented about their chances in battle, he silently nodded once in affirmation of what he said. Unbeknownst to anyone, he also knew much more then he was letting on. So Striker plans not to attack. He wants us to make the first move and mess up. That's not going to happen.

"Perfect Nexev. That is indeed a wonderful idea." Dane slowly rose up, and walked to Proto and Shadow. "Normally I would try to help as much as I can, but I have certain - business to attend to. Proto, Shadow, I need you two to try and create this reverse force field Nexev was talking about. Nexev, if you need to help them, go with them. If not, then come with me. Shradow, I need you to make sure we have all the supplies needed in case they attack. Medical Kits, Food, things like that in case they take the siege route. Plus, your knowledge of the Ancient Language should help us in that area as well. If you can't find something, tell me. I wish we had Godot with us. He would be a huge help. We are short handed at the moment. If you need me, I'll be in my office just down the hall." Dane quickly walked out of the room, not noticing who was doing what. He made it into his office, and walked over to his desk and started to rummage through it. So... Much... Going on. I hope I can keep a grip for now.

Shadow Zero didn't say anything in response to Saint Dane, simply crossed a leg and rested the side of his face against a clenched hand. Something to reverse a forcefield. Of course, it would be easier to do if I knew what type of field it was. Shadow Zero held his free hand out and caused a Portable Transerver to appear, as he always kept a few on him. He then tossed it over to Proto and said We'll use my place. Use the Portable Transerver to meet me there when you are ready." Shadow Zero then disappeared in a flash of light, Transing over to his own little corner of the Universe that you had to be specifically invited to, the Zero Account. It was simple, and not strictly in the 'real' world, but it was the best place for the type of work that he and Proto were about to embark on.

(The Zero Account is an area that is part cyberspace, part real world. It is a single room with no visible entrances or exits, black walls, and low lighting that emanates from the criss-crossing red lines that form square patterns on the floor, walls, and ceiling. This is where Shadow Zero goes for anything that is related to planing strategies and fights, although he does have a number of other locations that he uses. the only furniture seen in the Zero Account is a single chair that Zero sits in the exact same fashion as he left the planning room in.)

"Interesting," said War Torn seeing in the corner of his eye that Ulqu was following. "We have enough for two forcefields."

He then proceeded to go to grab his cell phone to order them.

"I would like to order two x-large forcefields castle size please. A 10% on my order for buying two? Great. When can you bring them? Tomorrow? See you then."

He turned his attention to Ulqu and said, "They are coming tomorrow. Strengthen our defences until then."

War Torn then headed to his study and began writing a letter to Shadow Zero.

What has happened? We were good friends and even fought on the same side before. I guess Destiny called for you to choose the side that you are on like it did for me. At the end of this, we will see who has chose the right path.

Shadow Zero sat in his chair and almost chuckled to himself as he sat in his chair creating more viruses at an approximate rate of Thirty a minute. War Torn was making this almost to easy for him. With more then one shield, All I have to do is place something between the shields to change their resonance. With that, I can make it so that only I and whomever I choose can pass through them, and nothing else. Still, it can't hurt to hear what Proto has to say on the matter, and the extra shields won't show up until tomorrow. For now, I'll just sit here and wait.

War Torn was heading for the kitchen for dinner when he heard a knock on the front door. I wonder who that could be? He opened the door and to his suprise, it was a delivery man.

"I came a quickly as I could," the delivery man said. "Your voice sounded like these shields needed to be here quick. We just had a delivery cancelation and rushed over here. They are not the model that you requested. These are a year older than the ones you requested so expect some bugs in it."

War Torn had a puzzled look on his face.

"Strange," he said. "Oh well, I'll take them until the other ones come. Will they come?"

"Yes sir," the delivery man said. However, we will only send you the updating software for the shields, not complete new ones."

"Fair enough," War Torn replied.

War Torn signed on the dotted line and went to install the shields. I haven't done this in ages.

Saint Dane gave his instructions, then left to his office down the hall. I have to check on provisions? Well, that doesn't seem too hard. After that's done, I can just take a nap. Shradow had made note of the room just in case he needed it during the course of his job... Which he did. Not a minute after Saint Dane walked inside the office, he had gotten out of his chair and followed his route to the office. He opened the door slightly, and, poking his head in, asked for help. "Hey, um, which way is the storage room? I kinda forgot."

Dane continued to rummage around in his desk until he found it. It being a small slip of paper, with a rather hastily written code. Next, he wlaked over to a safe, and input the code on the paper. Eight - Twelve - Thirty-Four. There we go. Wait, no. That wasn't an Eight, it was a a smudged six. Gah. Dane quickly reentered the code, and opened the safe. The door slowly creaked open, and he withdrew the object inside, which turned out to be a small key. Now, where did I leave that case? He slowly searched the room, turning chairs upside down, opening drawers, and even searching around his desk for it. "Where is it? I must find it." Dane walked back around the room, and started to straighten it up. he couldn't have someone come in while it's such a mess. Right after this, and the room still was a mess, Dane heard the door open. "No." He said in a low whisper and walked over to Shradow. "Okay, go back down the hall you came from, and a little farther down is a staircase. Go down them, and take a left. There should be a door on your right marked 'Emergency Provisions,' just walk on in.

Proto looked at the Transer, he hadn't been to Shadow's portable dimension in a while but he assumed that he was welcome there. He then pressed a button on the machine and in bright flash of red light, Proto was transported to the Zero Account.

The Machine looked around in awe and then turned to his companion. "Don't use this place much do you?" he said as he viewed the chair. He then saw the small viruses and smiled. "So whats your plan Shadow ? I'm not at my full power yet, but I'm sure I can arrange something."

Proto then looked at one of the small viruses with his eyes glowing red, the virus then stood still in awe and began to reprogram himself until finally he was a indentical version of Proto himself. "I see, extra forcefields, the idiot's gonna get two of them." He then shut off his eyes and the virus returned to its original state and began running off. "So, how exactly do we stop this "double shield?"" he asked his companion in a proud tone.

"Yes sir." Shradow jokingly saluted then left the room. He walked back down the hall he came from and, noticing the staircase, walked down a floor. Then he took a left and came upon a door on his right labeled "Emergency Provisions". "Ah, here we are." He strolled liesurely inside.

~An indefinite amount of time later...~

Shradow had carefully catalouged everything, and even if several more allies joined their side, they would be set during seige conditions for quite awhile, except... "We're a tad bit low on clean drinking water in proportion to everything else, and that could be a problem." He reached into the cabinet and got out as many empty water bottles as he could and carried them outside into a grassy field. Man, all these water bottles... Would've been easier with a couple of barrels. "Time to get some water. Man, am I going to need a nap after this." He carefully dug several holes around the field. He then opened all the water bottles and stood them up. "Reisa du adurna. Raise the water." He concentrated and clean, underground water began filling the holes, where he moved it from the holes into the water bottles. He sat down, resting a bit after the exertion of magic. "Now, let's put these away." He brought the batch water bottles and placed them in the refrigerator. He was about to leave, his job being done, but then he realized that there were still holes left behind in the yard. He quickly walked back outside to where the holes were. "Du deloi lunaea. Smooth the earth." The dirt dug up from the holes filled back in, smoothing out the yard. There are still patches of uncovered dirt now, but oh well. He yawned. "Time for a nap." He walked back to his room to take a nap.

Zero couldn't help but laugh at how his friend Proto had suddenly taken control of one of the Viruses that he had created and turned it into a miniature version of himself, thereby gaining some of the intel that he already had. However, he was ahead even further. "Not just two shields, but three. He's already got one,and is currently setting up the other two. They are older models and have some bugs in them, so now is the perfect time to strike. First we create the program to take advantage of the situation, then have it implanted before the upgraded software is sent over for the older model shields." Shadow Zero's chair, which was in the exact center of the room, slid one square over to the right, the square now second from his left had its edges glow as if to disappear, and then a chair rose from out of the ground, one that was more to Protos liking. "Please, sit. We have much to discuss." Shadow Zero said gesturing over to the chair that was now to his left.

War Torn managed to get the first one up and started on the second. I forgot how long it took to set a forcefield up. Then, he looked into the corner of his eye and saw a bug. I hate bugs. One of them bit me in the ear once. He then proceeded to squash it not knowing there were more around the castle. That should teach them a lesson. War Torn then proceeded to continue on the second forcefield. I better hurry before they come and attack. I'm not ready. Not at all.

"So pretty much we hack the force field system, simple enough. But we don't exactly know the place he's obtaining the force field from, and even if we do its not like we can just storm into the factory." Proto then toke his seat and began pondering, he could only manipulate machines who are nearby, so he and Shadow must get close enough to adjust the force field without anybody noticing it. "The only choice we have is for me to combine myself with one of your viruses and then hack into it there, easy."

As he pounded the last nail in, the forcefield was complete. Finally, I managed to get both up. Now to set up the software. That should be easy. War Torn went into the main planing room and started to download the forcefield software. He then started to hum a song. Can they what I done? I done it again. I have escaped death once more. They can't do a thing to me. Once the software was finished, he went to the kitchen for a sausage and egg sandwich. I got to love my cooking. At least I know something that doesn't end in violence.

I have something else in mind Proto. You've seen my Zero Virus, right? Well there are more of them, much more. At any rate, Striker has just finished putting the shields together. Now is the time. Our plan is to make a computer program that can be added to the shields of which will allow us to modify it from here in any way that we like, and then I can transfer that data to the Zero Viruses in the enemy stronghold who can take care of the rest. This is possible only here in a place that is half cyberspace and half the real world, that's the reason why we had to come here to the Zero Account to do it." As he explained all of this, the chairs that he and Proto were on slid back towards the rear of the room. The floor then began to rise upwards, creating a raised area where he and Proto were in the center of the top level with four rectangular columns surrounding them, the sides and front sloping off with a single set of wide, sweeping stairs leading down towards the center of the room where they were before. "By the way, I have an idea to give you your old powers back in a new form, if you're willing to hear it. I've been working on it for some time now, and I think you will find it to be of great interest." As he said this, Zero brought up a screen and began creating the computer program that would be transferred to the Zero Viruses in the enemy stronghold.

"Everything is in working order Jonathan," said War Torn as he headed to the gaming room. "The shields are up and we now get to wait for the new software."

"What if the enemy somehow gets a hold of the software?" replied Jonathan. "What happens next?"

"Then," answered War Torn. "We have to use the back-up software. They always give a back-up copy just in case."

War Torn then turned on his XBox 360 and started playing SvR 2010. Now we are ready for you Shadow.

"Hmm, its much easier if you just do this" At the last word Proto's flashing red eyes reached the program which then began shifting its own data extremely quickly, until finally the program was complete. "This baby should back up that force field in seconds, plus I've placed some of my own coding there, so it will seem normal until I activate the program by my own mind, in other words, Striker won't even know its changed until we want him to know". He then turned to Shadow at the mention of his old powers returning. "Sure, I wouldn't mind packing a extra punch when I beat up Striker, what is your plan Shadow?"

The coding having been completed by Proto, Shadow Zero closed it and opened up two other windows. One showed his private research, and the other showed the coding that he had been working on for some time, and had recently finished. "I created an ability called Predation. It will allow you to merge with separate battle chips and gain their attributes, power, and in some cases even undergo a partial transformation. Of course, you can only do this with specific groupings of chips at once, such as combining Heat Shot and Burner to gain the ability to fly and use fire attacks at the same time, as well as dealing fire damage to an opponent simply by touching them. However, in your case, you will be using dark chips that I have created using the data from your old dark chip." Shadow Zero pushed the screen over to Proto and said "all you have to do is install this data into yourself, and you will be able to use this new ability. The best part of all is that you will have a number of new dark chips that had not even been thought of before at your disposal, and they will be powered by darkness energy alone, meaning that you don't have to worry about fighting with your dark soul again or disintegrating like the last time. So...what do you think?" Shadow Zero asked as he turned to face Proto to see what his reaction to all of this was.

Proto stared at the window with a look of complete disbelief. "Shadow........... Thanks."

Proto then stared at the Predation coding and then a zap of red light appeared from his shades, replicating the code into his system. After the light from his eyes faded, Proto was still for several minutes, then....

"WOAH!" A surge of black energy sparkled around Proto's body, his hands began shifting, from a purple drill, to a black sword, and to a long rifle until finally resting on his original arms.

A large amount of gas emerged from Proto's body until finally the machine king walked out of the dark cloud, "Groovy".

"There are new Dark Chips at your command as well, Proto. Why not try the Dark Speed Chip? You'll gain wings and the ability of flight. You'll also become one of the fastest people in this war. But I am getting ahead of myself First, there is our plan to consider." Shadow Zero looked at the window with the shield code in it, having made it reappear and nodded once with a satisfied smile on his face. "This will do nicely. All that is left to do now is to transfer it to the Viruses in the enemy stronghold........done." With a pinging sound, the data was sent to several Zero Viruses already in the vicinity of the shield, along with instructions. Each one of the Zero Viruses merged with one of the three separate shields and became an untraceable part of it hiding in the systems flaws. now all that was needed was for them to be activated. "We'll worry about activating them once the upgraded software is in. After that, they'll all be stuck in their own fortress." Shadow Zero chuckled darkly at this last comment, relishing the looks of surprise that was sure to be on his enemies faces when this happened, and only the people he wanted to move in and out would be able to.

War Torn was almost done finishing his game when sirens started to ring. Don't tell me. He then proceeded to go to the main room.

"These energy reading of off the charts," said War Torn. "I don't know where they are coming from, but where ever it is from, we are going to have a hard time winning this one."

"Well," replied Jonathan. "The energy readings aren't anywhere in YCM Kingdom. Do you think it is from another dimension?"

"Maybe," answered War Torn. "There are 3 around YCM. I could go check and see if they are conducting experiments of that power."

With that said, War Torn headed to his communication station and inputed the name of the closest dimension... HD.
