[spoiler=Introduction]I'm back with the next PokePoll Murder Mystery. This was originally Zexaeon's idea, who then pass it on to me. Unfortunately Zexaeon left, but luckily, I'm still here.

As the series goes on, the writing gets better. This one is no exception. I'm actually going to be not lazy this time.

 

Anyways, the plot for this PokePoll was created by Eury and edited by me. So yeah, credit to Eury for making the plot. This is going to be a sequel to A Legendary Death by the way.

 

One last thing. I won't forget to put up the Poll this time. x.x (The Poll goes up after the parts. I don't want anybody guessing the murderer before getting the needed clues.)

 

 

 

 

[spoiler=Prologue]

It's been ten years since Arceus was arrested, but Jirachi still has nightmares. Arceus was accountable for more than fifty murders. Half of the murders didn't even look like a murder. The investigators found hundreds of murder plans hidden beneath Arceus' bed.

 

The tiny legendaries split up to visit and help all the Pokemon who lost someone close to them to Arceus. The legendaries who were at the party of the night Manaphy was killed closed their businesses due to the lack of investors. Soon, those legendaries joined with the tiny legendaries to make a charity business.

 

Still, Jirachi had nightmares. Even Cresselia's Lunar Wings didn't help. She even consulted the king of nightmares, Darkrai. He said he couldn't stop nightmares. He also said that nightmares can be omens. That only scared Jirachi even more.

 

"If you want to end a recurring nightmare, face the thing that caused it," Darkrai said.

 

Arceus caused it... Jirachi thought. I guess I'll have to give him a visit.

 

[spoiler=Part I]

Kabutops led KET(Kabutops Exploring Team) through a steep mountain. He recently found a small cave that could contain the rare gold Kabuto fossil they've been looking for.

 

"This might be it!" Kabutops said excitedly.

 

"Don't get too excited," said another Kabutops. "We've gone through a hundred caves. What makes you think that we'll-"

 

"It's over here!" Kabutops interrupted.

 

He pointed his sharp white arms at a tall narrow hole on the mountain hole. Before the others could say something, Kabutops already started crawling in. He eagerly scurried deeper and deeper into the cave.

 

TONK!!

 

"Ouch!" Kabutops grunted. He had hit his head in some kind of metal.

 

The rest of the team came in, some carrying torches. Light spread throughout the room, revealing that Kabutops had bumped into a metallic door. While Kabutops rubbed his head, the team took a closer look at the door. It was rusty in some parts, and the gray color was very dull. There's no doubt that this door has been here for quite a while.

 

"What do you think is behind this?" one Kabutops said.

 

"There's only one way to find out."

 

All of the Kabutops started hacking and slashing the door. Some tried digging under it. Others tried to make a hole through it. Nothing worked. They concluded that the door was too big and thick.

 

"How are we going to open this-"

 

Suddenly, the door burst open, sending some Kabutops flying to the walls. Rock and rubble fell down, and dust filled the air.

 

One Kabutops lay on the ground, trying to see what caused the blast. As the dust cleared up, his eyes widened.

Jirachi slowly floated toward the PokeJail. She was already sweating and shaking. Opening the door, she saw Mightyena at the front desk.

 

"Jirachi?" Mightyena said. "What are you doing here?"

 

"I'm...I'm going to visit Arceus."

 

"What?! Are you crazy?"

 

The phone on the desk made a blaring ring. Mightyena pushed a button, and a voice immediately started shouting.

 

"This...This is crazy!" the excited voice said. "You'll never believe what the Kabutops Exploring Team found!"

 

"Calm down," Mightyena told them. "What's so important that you needed to call the Police?"

 

"It's Arceus!"

 

Jirachi and Mightyena froze in shock.

 

"It's the real Arceus!" the Kabutops shouted.

 

"The- The- The real Arceus?" Mightyena stammered. "What? What do you mean?"

 

"Go to that other Arceus' jail cell! I want to confirm this is the real deal."

 

The phone made a beep signaling that Kabutops turned off his phone. Jirachi and Mightyena just looked at each other in horror.

 

"Other Arceus?" Jirachi whispered...

 

Mightyena started running to the cells.

 

"Wait! I'm coming with you!" Jirachi shouted.

 

Jirachi followed Mightyena through a bunch of stairs, hallways, and doors. They finally reached the section where they keep the strongest and worst criminals out there. Mightyena continued to run until he reached the end of the hallway. He opened the small window of the large silver door. He couldn't see anything. It was too dark.

 

That's odd... Mightyena thought. Arceus always had his lights on.

 

Mightyena started opening a bunch of locks.

 

"Wait! Won't he escape if you open it?" Jirachi asked.

 

"He's tied to a bunch of chains. Don't worry," Mightyena said as he opened the last lock.

 

Jirachi and Mightyena was horrified of what they saw. The chains were broken, and there was a hole in the ground. Arceus had escaped.

 

[spoiler=Part II]

 

"Breaking news! The KET, Kabutops Explorer Team, has found a second Arceus in a cave! That Arceus was tied to chains and blocked by a large door. Arceus is refusing to make a public appearance right now, so we have no idea what's going on. Meanwhile, the Arceus that was sent to jail for more than fifty murders has escaped! Rumors are going around that the two Arceus are just one, but there's no evidence for that. Police say to keep a watch out for killer Arceus. They have tripled the security in the city, so there shouldn't be any worry. Police are also keeping quiet about the current situation. We'll bring you more later on. This is-"

 

Jirachi turned the TV off. She hadn't noticed that she had been biting her nails. Even though Mightyena had give her some bodyguards, she still didn't feel safe. Arceus can get her any second now. Jirachi walked over to the window, where she saw the room where they were questioning the other Arceus. She was afraid that that Arceus was the same monstrous psychopath Arceus she knew.

 

Mightyena looked at Arceus. He remembered when he dreamed of meeting the God of Pokemon. He thought of the God of Pokemon as high and mighty. Today, Arceus looked confused and ashamed.

 

"Why are there two Arceus?" Mightyena questioned Arceus.

 

"I...I don't know," Arceus muttered.

 

"How can you not know? You're the god of Pokemon!"

 

"The only logical thing I could think is that that other Arceus was a Pokemon who used Transform or Illusion."

 

"Makes sense," Mightyena agreed. "But how do we know you're not the fake Arceus?"

 

"I...don't know. I seem to have lost some memories...Why was I in a cave?"

 

"I was going to ask you that," Mightyena replied.

 

Mightyena tried to make sense of what has happened. An Arceus was found in a cave, and he lost his memories. Another Arceus is out there murdering Pokemon. Great, this is going to be a piece of cake. Mightyena thought.

 

"Can't you use your powers to find the other Arceus?" Mightyena asked.

 

"My powers?" Arceus said.

 

"Did you lose them, too? Just great."

 

The other Mightyenas ran in.

 

"What do you want us to do, captain?" a Mightyena asked.

 

"Go find all the local Ditto, Mew, and Zoroark!" Mightyena shouted.

 

***

 

Arceus struggled to remember what happened to him. All who he knew was that he was woken up by the noise of the Kabutops. Someone has been impersonating me and murdering Pokemon for twenty years...How could I let this happen? What happened to my powers? Arceus already confirmed that all seventeen of his plates were gone.

 

Jirachi walked into a room, half-trembling. Her eyes were watery.

 

"Are you the real Arceus?" Jirachi asked.

 

"I think so," Arceus said.

 

"That's not helping," Jirachi muttered. "When I look at you, I see the faces of the dead people that...other Arceus killed. I still have nightmares."

 

Jirachi's eyes were filled with tears now. She tried the best she could not to cry. She learned a lot from visiting the poor families who lost someone to Arceus.

 

"I'm very sorry, but I can't do anything. I've lost my memories and I've lost a lot of my powers...I've basically lost everything," Arceus whispered.

 

Jirachi wiped away her tears. She couldn't just stand here, crying. She couldn't let that psychopath go murdering again. Maybe it's time to actually do something.

 

"Well...You haven't lost all your memories," Jirachi said.

 

Arceus raised his head. "What do you mean?"

 

"When I talked to Darkrai, I learned a lot of things about nightmares."

 

"So...What about nightmares?"

 

"Nightmares can bring memories back."

 

[spoiler=Part III]Arceus and Jirachi floated to the ominous island. The winds howled in the dark night. The full moon and the tiny stars provided just enough light so they can see. The trees danced around Arceus and Jirachi as they walked towards the center of the island. They stopped when they reached a moon-shaped pond. After waiting for a few seconds, a ghostly figure rose from the pond.

 

"Arceus," Darkrai said in a deep voice. "Did you come to kill me, too?"

 

"This is a different Arceus," Jirachi responded.

 

"There's two Arceus?"

 

"Well...We don't exactly know. I'll try to explain."

 

Jirachi told Darkrai everything that has happened; the Kabutop finding Arceus in a cave, the other Arceus escaping jail, and why they came here. Darkrai didn't seem surprised or interested.

 

"Very well," Darkrai said. "I've never had someone ask for nightmares."

 

"So how does this nightmare thing work?" Arceus asked.

 

"Nightmares pick memories that causes fear and pain, and projects them in your mind. They go for the nearest memories they can find. If they can't find any bad memories, they go even deeper into your mind. But to make sure the job gets done, I will be your nightmare."

 

"What?"

 

"I will literally go into your mind."

 

***

 

Mightyena looked at the Zoroark, Mew, and the six Ditto.

 

"How am I suppose to tell the six Ditto apart?" Mightyena barked.

 

"Well sir...One of them is shiny. That should help."

 

Mightyena facepawd. "Get them name tags! I'll do the interviews. As for the other Mightyena, go get some background information on each suspect."

 

The other Mightyena left, leaving only Mightyena with the eight suspects.

 

"You have all been chosen as a suspect. The crime? Impersonating Arceus, and killing 53 Pokemon. You guys have been chose because of your ability to transform."

 

"Wait a minute," Zoroark interrupted. "Why am I here? I can't transform."

 

"You can use Illusion. That counts," Mightyena said.

 

Zoroark grumbled, Mew sat quietly, two Ditto were talking to each other, three Ditto were shaking, and one Ditto was sleeping.

 

"This is going to be a long day..." Mightyena whispered.

No, make it a Wailord and we all be doomed. But for the murder, Arecus would get his revenge, though isolated

Agreed, these would be very decent Fan-Fics, especially since we'll be guessing who the murderer is the whole time, so a thread in Polls isn't needed.

 

Again, excellent writing. I love it. And thanks for including Darkrai this time, mhmm. He wasn't in the last one.

The Kabutops found an Arceus. The Arceus in the jail escaped. As of right now, there are TWO Arceus'.

He can, know why? Twig wrote(just saying not sure if it's true. Sorry in advance) this and he just said that there were 2.

@Dark: Thanks. They are not one Arceus. Again, I hope Part 2 will clear all the confusion. And I put this in polls so I can avoid Crab. Nah, Crab can review it. I put it here since that's where it's always been, and I think I would get more views.
