Cowboy Dan
Lately there have been a lot of illegal contests in the Contest section. By illegal, I mean the that noobs (users with 99 or lower posts) have been making contests. I propose that no one should be allowed to make a thread in the contest section without 100 posts, like they wouldn't be allowed to because of the restrictions I want to enforce. I'm pretty sure it's possible to make certain restrictions on certain sections with the mybb software. So... supporters? NOTE: This would only take a second or two for YCMaker to do: it wouldn't be a huge fix to a little thing.
-Athena-
I support. I hate seeing those.
Βyakuya
They're as dumb as hell. The only way to fix it is if we teach them and direct them towards being better. Or just remind them by the rules. We can't really know when it happens but its a misunderstanding. So no support I'm afraid.
Master of Chaos™
Well i will Support but there is two ways to do this: 1-When People join the Rules are sent to them by PM.2-If a Person has 100 or less Posts he cannot Enter the Contest Section. I'm afraid these are the only 2 Ways to Stop Illegal Contests. So why not Support.
Limited Edition KING
1-When People join the Rules are sent to them by PM. No the rules are not sent to them by PM and it will never happen. 2- If a Person has 100 or less Posts THEY cannot Enter the Contest Section. If I am correct members with bellow 100 posts can still enter the contests they cannot host them though. Number two just destroys another right new members gain upon joining stop suggesting things that blocks out the new members from anything in the forums. Remember everyone here was a new member at some point.
Domi the Mystery
1-When People join the Rules are sent to them by PM. NONoobs wouldn't look at them. It's like installing a game, you must read something and click I Agree, while there is no actual need to read that something. EDIT: Anyway, i support number 2. Raiza
I'll support, it's annoying when a contest has gone to the voting stage and gets locked -_-

Master of Chaos™
It would be nice for New Members to Stop Hosting with Under 100 Posts but i just don't see anyway the Mybb System can Manage it it just wasn't Built that way.
~Duo~
I support, but maybe put a confirmation code in the PM rules before they can start posting...?

~Duo~
I thought of the "THEY cannot post a thread in" too, but I looked at this: i just don't see anyway the Mybb System can Manage it it just wasn't Built that way.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I support this, but it's probably impossible to do this with MyBB
~Duo~
That is precisely my point.
Sander
I'd like to ask this question, why do people on YCM (more or less older members) want to limit the new members from doing anything? So what if a new member posts a bad contest? It's not like it's going to hurt anybody. If you don't like them, just ignore them. No need to go all dictatorish on them and make yourself look like an jabroni. No support.
Tempest Dahlia
^Nobody knows how to mind their damn businesses apparently, or at the very least HELP said annoying member so that they would enjoy contests as much as a veteran would.lt's like telling a starving funking man that he can't fish for food until he learns how on his own. Yet you're hogging the damn lake >_>l wonder who the real noobs are nowadays.
DARKPLANT RISING
If you create new User Types called "New Members", and set Contests to "New Members cannot make threads", it'll do. Possible, though the mods might get trouble having to check on every single member who got 100 posts. It depends on the difficlulty the mods get. They're not googlebots.Should there be an easy way, support.
Cowboy Dan
From my experience with the MyBB software, it seemed like an option. For example, whatever level a member has with 100 posts would be the minimum title allowed to host contests/make threads in the contest section. Grifith
I support this cause for N00B contest... My siggestion is that if a member that has under 100 posts, when they click Card Contest click to new topic is should say, You cannot make a thread in this section until you have 100 posts when they click post thread. So yes, alot of support for this one.
Cowboy Dan
Thank you, all of your suggestions are really good! I hope they effect the card contest section!
Master of Chaos™
Wait how about this. When you join this Site you can't actually Post Until you Registered well how about we do the same with Members with Under 100 Posts and the Contest Section? They can look at it but cannot Post in it.
Limited Edition KING
They can look at it but cannot Post in it. NO members with 100 or less posts are still allowed to participate in contests.
Master of Chaos™
Well then how about a Way that they cannot make a Thread in the Contest Section without 100 Posts. But there is almost no way to do that. The only way to do that is to make the System Automatically PM Members some sort of a Code when they reach 100 Posts which they need to enter to make a Thread in the Contests.
