Crystal Beast 123
So I've got a bunch of Yugioh cards, and I want to sort them, but I'm drawing a blank on method of how to best do this. By packs (sets)? By card type? Alphabetize?
Red_Gengar
By set. It's much easier to put them in binders that way.
GraveHorizon
I organize mine by card type, then by ATK then DEF for monsters and alphabetical for Spells and Traps. I resorted them once by set, but it was kind of lame. All my powerful cards are the monsters at each end of the Effect section.

First I sort into monsters, spells, and traps. Then I sort the monsters by Normal non-Tuner, Effect, subtypes (Tuner, Toon, Gemini, etc.. Those get separated among their own groups as well), Nomi and Semi-Nomi monsters, Ritual, Fusions, and Synchros. Then I arrange the monsters by Level, then ATK, then DEF, then alphabetical order. The Spells I organize by Type and alphabetical order.Same process as Spells for Traps. Yes, I organize my monsters extensively, but I know where everything is, so I'm happy with it.
Brandon Michael Geren
Throw away all the bad cards. Then you won't have as much to organize.

burnpsy
Throw away all the bad cards. Then you won't have as much to organize. Horrible idea. Many cards have become useful after seeing no use at all in the past - it would suck if a card that was thrown away ended up being one of them. Rescue Cat (before Synchros and crystal beasts, I personally didn't think too highly of it)BEWD (until Sol Hopeless was invented, i didn't like it too much. Not to mention his Malefic counterpart)Batteryman AA (I don't need to explain how this one got better)Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts (if you're into Phantom Beasts)Magical Hats (and then they invented geartown and AGGD) Those are just a few ones that personally found quite sucky a while ago and might have thrown away if I didn't have big boxes to put all my cards in. yugiohmasterobelisk
i think it depends on wat you are doing with the cards you see if you want to sel them then you shoud organize by pack and then by number inside the pack but if you dont want to sel them i think you shoud organize by monster spell trap then different types of monsters like blac wings and x saberrs and lightsworns then it wil be easy to find which monsters you want you can also put the staple spells together and the random ones in alpabetical order and the traps i hope this helps :D

Rescue Cat (before Synchros and crystal beasts' date=' I personally didn't think too highly of it)[b']Okay.[/b]BEWD (until Sol Hopeless was invented, i didn't like it too much. Not to mention his Malefic counterpart)Not a card to throw away. Sorry. I meant throw away all bad cards that aren't imortalized by the anime because those can be used as trade fodder.Batteryman AA (I don't need to explain how this one got better)Yes you do. I don't follow Batteryman chronology.Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts (if you're into Phantom Beasts)Not really. Still sucks.Magical Hats (and then they invented geartown and AGGD)Still don't like it. legolover09
Well how about cards like Cold Wave or Mind Crush? I believe those are old cards that were once thought to be bad.

Cold Wave is okay and Mind Crush is mainly a side card. But it gets mained often too. Decent cards, but not good.
burnpsy
I used to use a box, then used several tins, etc. Now I have one HUGE binder that annoys those I want to trade with.
